Abstract

This article aims to analyze the learning motivation of students in the modern era, which has declined due to the development of digital technology, changes in lifestyle, and increasing distractions from various forms of entertainment. The research design is based on a literature study conducted by reviewing journal articles, scientific books, proceedings, research reports, and other credible publications. Data collection was carried out through stages of keyword identification, title and abstract screening, full reading, and noting key points. Data analysis was conducted using a content analysis approach. The study results indicate that low learning motivation is influenced by internal factors such as fatigue, stress, low self-confidence, and weak self-regulation skills, as well as external factors such as lack of family support, less varied teaching methods, and the use of technology that is more focused on entertainment. The impact of low motivation is evident in declining learning outcomes, increased boredom, low social participation, and reduced academic responsibility. This study emphasizes that efforts to enhance learning motivation need to be carried out comprehensively through positive reinforcement, creating a comfortable learning environment, appropriate use of technology, and collaboration between teachers, parents, and the school environment. These efforts are important to rekindle students' intrinsic motivation so that they can adapt and learn optimally in the modern era

Abstract

The free nutritious meal program is one of the government’s initiatives to enhance educational quality by ensuring students’ nutritional needs are met. This study aims to analyze school strategies in managing the free nutritious meal program as an effort to improve students’ discipline and academic achievement. The research employs a literature review method by examining six scholarly articles related to the implementation and impact of nutritious meal programs in schools. The findings reveal that the active involvement of schools in planning, organizing, and evaluating the program plays a vital role in its success. Properly managed programs have shown positive effects on students’ attendance, discipline, and learning motivation by providing sufficient nutritional support. Therefore, effective management strategies at the school level are crucial to fostering a healthy, productive, and sustainable learning environment. Kata kunci:  School Strategy, Student Management, Free Nutritious Meal, Discipline, Academic Achievement.   Abstrak Program makan bergizi gratis merupakan salah satu upaya pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi sekolah dalam pengelolaan program makan bergizi gratis sebagai sarana peningkatan disiplin dan prestasi peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah literature review dengan menelaah enam artikel ilmiah yang relevan mengenai implementasi dan dampak program makan bergizi di sekolah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan aktif sekolah dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi program menjadi faktor penting dalam keberhasilan pelaksanaan. Program ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan kedisiplinan, kehadiran, serta semangat belajar peserta didik melalui penyediaan asupan gizi yang memadai. Oleh karena itu, strategi pengelolaan yang efektif di tingkat sekolah menjadi kunci dalam mendukung terciptanya lingkungan belajar yang sehat, produktif, dan berkelanjutan.   Kata kunci: Strategi Sekolah, Manajemen Peserta Didik, Makan Bergizi Gratis, Disiplin, Prestasi Belajar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of student management as a strategy to enhance student learning motivation. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review of previous research on student management, learning motivation, student achievement, and school quality. The analysis reveals that structured student management—including planning, organizing, supervising, and evaluating—can create a conducive learning environment, improve discipline, and encourage student engagement in both academic and non-academic activities. The findings also emphasize that teacher supervision, communication with parents, counseling services, and classroom management significantly enhance learning motivation, reduce student transfers and dropouts, and strengthen the achievement of educational goals. This review provides evidence that effective student management serves as a comprehensive strategy to support holistic educational quality. Keywords: student management; learning motivation; student achievement; learning environment; school quality Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran manajemen peserta didik sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Kajian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi literatur terhadap berbagai penelitian terdahulu mengenai manajemen peserta didik, motivasi belajar, prestasi siswa, dan kualitas sekolah. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan manajemen peserta didik yang terstruktur, meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pengawasan, dan evaluasi, mampu menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, meningkatkan kedisiplinan, dan mendorong keterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan akademik maupun nonakademik. Temuan kajian juga menegaskan bahwa pengawasan guru, komunikasi dengan orang tua, layanan bimbingan, dan pengelolaan lingkungan belajar dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar, menurunkan angka mutasi dan putus sekolah, serta memperkuat pencapaian tujuan pendidikan. Hasil kajian ini memberikan bukti bahwa manajemen peserta didik merupakan strategi efektif untuk mendukung kualitas pendidikan secara holistik. Abstract

Student management is a crucial aspect of educational implementation that focuses on the holistic development of students' potential. The humanistic approach views learners as unique individuals with diverse backgrounds, needs, interests, and abilities. In the context of student diversity in schools, the management of learners must be carried out with empathy by paying attention to their emotional, social, and psychological aspects so that the learning atmosphere can unfold inclusively and harmoniously. This empathetic approach enables teachers to build close communication, understand students’ characteristics more deeply, and provide opportunities for them to express themselves and grow according to their potential. Therefore, student management oriented toward humanism does not merely emphasize academic achievement, but also the development of human values such as appreciation of differences, mutual respect, and the ability to collaborate. This article aims to describe the concept of the humanistic learning approach, the role of empathy in classroom management, and its application in addressing student diversity. It is expected that through this approach, schools can create a learning environment that is liberating, humanizing, and capable of optimizing the development of students’ potential. Abstrak Manajemen peserta didik adalah aspek krusial dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan yang focus pada pengembangan potensi siswa secara menyeluruh. Pendekatan humanistik menganggap peserta didik sebagai individu yang khas, dengan latar belakang, kebutuhan, minat, dan kemampuan yang bervariasi. Dalam konteks keragaman siswa di sekolah, pengelolaan peserta didik harus dilakukan dengan empati dengan memperhatikan aspek emosional, sosial, dan psikologis mereka agar suasana belajar dapat berlangsung inklusif dan harmonis. Pendekatan empatik ini memungkinkan guru untuk menciptakan komunikasi yang akrab, memahami karakter siswa dengan lebih baik, serta memberikan kesempatan bagi siswa untuk mengekspresikan diri dan tumbuh sesuai dengan potensi mereka. Oleh karena itu, manajemen siswa yang berorientasi pada humanisme tidak hanya menekankan pada pencapaian akademis, tetapi juga pada pengembangan nilai nilai kemanusiaan seperti penghargaan terhadap perbedaan, sikap saling menghargai, dan kemampuan untuk berkolaborasi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan konsep pendekatan pembelajaran humanistik, fungsi empati dalam pengelolaan kelas, serta penerapannya dalam menghadapi keberagaman siswa. Diharapkan dengan pendekatan ini, sekolah dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang membebaskan, memanusiakan, dan mengoptimalkan perkembangan potensi siswa.
