Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis is direct infectious disease caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis which transmitted through the air (droplet nuclei) when a patient with tuberculosis cough and the saliva droplets that containing the bacteria were inhaled by another person while breathing. The period of treatments for pulmonary tuberculosis required complete adherence. Irregular treatment is caused by the habit that the patient already felt healthy and does not spend the drugs completely and also the side effects of the drugs that make the patient unable to stand it then stop taking the drugs.There were some reasons that lead to the resistance pulmonary tuberculosis bacteria to OAT or MDR-TB. The knowledge management for uneducated patients is needed by providing health education about the treatment of tuberculosis.Methods: The study used descriptive study by involving nursing process which include of assessment, diagnosis,intervention, implementation and evaluation on two patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at TK II Putri Hijau Hospital Medan. Results: It was obtained that the lack of knowledge problem could be resolved in patient I while in patient II the problem was partially resolved.

Abstract

Lut Tawar dan Pegasing merupakan dua yang ada di Aceh Tengah, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) sebagai objek Pengabdian oleh Tim PKM Program Studi S1 Farmasi STIKes Indah Medan dan Progran Studi Farmasi SMK Al Razi Sinar Harapan Medan. Ibu anggota TIM PKK utusan Lut Tawar dan Pegasing biasa bersama suami sebagai petani. Ibu yang tergabung dalam TIM PKK berkumpul di Kator Dinas KBP3A untuk dilatih dan dibimbing Tim PKM memproduksi SAOS TOMAT. Tomat salah satu komoditi sayuran asal Aceh Tengah yang saat tertentu panen raya melimpah di Pasar sehingga harga menjadi turun dan berimbas ke kota lain, termasuk Medan, Sumatera Utara; bahkan petani sendiri terkadang tidak lagi memanen karena biaya operasional tidak tercover dari hasil jual panen. Untuk mengatasi ini, alangkah lebih baik bila diolah menjadi SAOS TOMAT sehingga penghasilan petani stabil setiap saat. Ibu-ibu peserta Tim PKK utusan Lut Tawar dan Pegasing mengikuti dengan sangat antusias dan produk SAOS TOMAT sesuai yang diharapkan

Abstract

Adapun yang menjadi permasalahan dalam pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah: (1) Guru belum memahami tentang pemanfaatan teknologi dalam bimbingan kelompok dalam mencapai perubahan dan perkembangan dimasa Pandemi Covid-19, (2) Guru belum mengetahui cara mempermudah pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan kelompok tanpa harus bertatap muka secara langsung, (3) Guru belum mengetahui cara menggunakan media google meet dan cara pelaksanaan bimbingan kelompok online. Adapun solusi dan luaran yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah: (1) Melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi untuk memberikan pemahaman bagi guru agar mengetahui pemanfaatan teknologi dalam bimbingan kelompok dimasa pandemi Covid-19, (2) Memberikan informasi dan pemahaman kepada guru mengenai pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan kelompok tanpa harus bertatap muka secara langsung, (3) Memberikan pemahaman dan cara penggunaan kepada guru mengenai media google meet dan mensosialisasikan cara pelaksanaan bimbingan kelompok online, (4) Artikel ilmiah yang akan dimuat dalam jurnal nasional tidak terakreditasi, surat kabar cetak/online dan prosiding seminar nasional, (5) Laporan beserta dokumentasi (video) kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Kesimpulan yang dapat diperoleh dari pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah Kegiatan sosialisasi ini berjalan dengan lancar dan sesuai dengan yang telah direncanakan oleh tim PKM beradasarkan hasil observasi oleh Tim PKM. Selain itu, kegiatan sosialisasi ini juga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman guru-guru MTs. Swasta IKIP Al Washliyah mengenai pemahaman guru terhadap layanan bimbingan kelompok online melalui media google meet.

Abstract

Most of the daily activities of the people in Cinta Rakyat Percut Sei Tuan Village, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province, are still being housewives and helping their husbands with farming and fishing. This village is ± 11 km from the Indah Medan College of Health Sciences campus. Most of the women in this village are members of PKK groups and village organizations and various activities in the village, but are limited to religious and other social activities, the rest mostly stay at home. Ginger jelly candy functions to help improve body health, warm the body, relieve body aches. So it has great potential to be developed into a superior product. These production results can later be marketed through daily necessities shops, supermarkets, restaurants, or through village unit cooperatives in Deli Serdang Regency, or online.The implementation method offered to support program realization, the first stage of this activity is conducting observations and making cooperation agreements with partners. The people of Cinta Rakyat Percut Sei Tuan Village, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, have gained an understanding of the benefits of ginger jelly candy for health, skills in how to make, package and market Ginger jelly candy using plant ingredients that are healthy, strong and easy to obtain, in a safe way. easy and simple equipment. In conclusion, the people of Cinta Rakyat Village mostly work to help their husbands farm or take part in PKK women's activities. Jelly candy can function to help improve body health, so it has the potential to make ginger jelly candy products and can be sold at public figures or supermarkets to increase family income. Abstract

Current developments require all aspects of life, one of which is in the field of education, so that they can carry out transformational changes in the face of the industrial revolution 4.0. This situation is what made the government change the education system so that educators can improve their performance as teachers, including counseling teachers, so they can implement guidance and counseling services that are oriented towards the industrial revolution 4.0. This research aims to find out whether information services through audio-visual media can be effective in increasing understanding about education in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 among Mts Lab IKIP Al Washliyah Medan students. This type of research is quantitative research with the population being 60 students in class VIII MTs Lab IKIP Al Washliyah Medan. Sampling used a random sampling technique which received as many as 30 students. The data collection technique in this research used a questionnaire. The questionnaire used in this research is an educational questionnaire in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. with statistical data analysis. In this research, the data obtained shows that rcount is greater than rtable, namely 0.490 > 0.361 and has led to a better increase than before. This is known from the results of the t test which shows that tcount > ttable or 16.304 > 2.042. This shows that information services through audio-visual media can influence students' understanding of education in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0

Abstract

This research aims to find out how students' emotional regulation is studied in psychology. The period of emotional development of students in their teenage years is a transitional period that is very vulnerable and requires guidance to be able to control emotions. Emotions are a very dangerous mental disorder. We will discuss several important aspects, including the types of emotion regulation strategies commonly used by students, campus environmental factors that influence emotion regulation, and the impact of emotion regulation on students' psychological well-being and academic achievement. Students often face complex academic, social, and emotional stress in the campus environment, so their ability to manage their emotions is critical to their well-being and academic success. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this research were students at the Indah Medan College of Health Sciences. The results of the analysis using observation techniques. Through this research, it is hoped that there will be a better understanding of the role of emotional regulation in students' lives, as well as practical implications for the development of coaching and intervention programs in higher education environments.

Abstract

Currently on the market there are many circulating toothpastes for cleaning teeth and treatment, but they contain synthetic chemicals that can cause health problems, such as fluoride and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). This material can irritate the gums and mouth, gums feel burning, sensitive teeth and discomfort on the tongue. Traditionally, andaliman fruit has been used as a refreshing and deodorizing agent and prevents tooth decay by gargling for about 10 minutes. One natural ingredient that has been proven to have antibacterial activity and has often been used to eliminate bad breath and body odor is combrang flower (Etlinger elatior Jack). Therefore, the author utilizes the combination of andaliman fruit and combrang flowers in toothpaste formulations with the aim of obtaining a natural toothpaste that is relatively safe and economical. The formulation of toothpaste preparations uses a combination of andaliman fruit and combrang flowers concentrations of 2.5%, 5%, and 10% with a ratio (75:25); (50:50); and (25:75). Evaluation of the preparation includes tests of homogeneity, pH, stability, cleaning power, organoleptic with hedonic test, irritation test of volunteer skin, and antibacterial activity against mutant Streptococcus and Escherichia coli. Toothpaste preparations containing a combination of dry pollen of combrang flowers and andaliman fruit have good cleaning power, no irritation, and can eradicate Streptococcus mutans and Escherichia coli bacteria with strong categories. The best formula is with the content of combrang flowers and andaliman fruit 75:25, because although the cleaning power is smaller, it has the strongest antibacterial, so the resulting toothpaste provides benefits for cleaning and dental care, safe and economical.

Abstract

Cleanliness of the skin, hands and body is a state of being free of dirt, dust and microorganisms that can cause infection. The existence of these microorganisms can be overcome by using soap containing chemical compounds that have antibacterial activity. In the market there are many circulating antiseptic soaps containing synthetic antibacterials, but they often cause side effects, so it is necessary to make soaps containing natural antibacterials, for example, Ambon banana peel contains polyphenolic compounds and saponins have antibacterial activity. The study conducted a phytochemical screening of Ambon banana peels, made liquid soap containing water extract of Ambon banana peels as a cleanser and antibacterial and carried out antibacterial activity tests. Research stages: phytochemical screening of Ambon banana peel and water extract, liquid soap formulation containing 10%, 20% and 30% Ambon banana peel water extract (SKPA), evaluation of liquid soap including: stability, foam height, pH, irritation and preference test . Antibacterial activity test against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and bacteria from volunteer hand washing water specimens. The results showed that the water extract from Ambon banana peel contains alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, steroids/triterpenoids, and glycosides, which can be formulated into liquid soap (SKPA) fulfilling the physical quality requirements. SKPA 30% liquid soap is the best because it is very liked by researchers, has strong antibacterial activity, diameter of inhibition against Staphylococcus aureus (17.23 ± 0.66) mm, and Escherichia coli (15.83 ± 0.66) mm. The total plate number for volunteer hand washing specimens, 10% SKPA resulted in a reduction of bacterial colonies of 49.78%, 30% SKPA obtained the greatest reduction in bacteria, namely 82.79, almost the same as Dettol liquid soap. What is circulating in the market is 83.02%.

Abstract

The research has the objective of knowing the effect of group guidance services with problem-solving techniques on student assertiveness in making career choices. The research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental research method, where from a population of 30 people, a sample of 10 people was taken by simple random sampling. Student assertiveness in making career decisions is 59.1 and after giving group guidance services the post-test = 88.7 is obtained. This means that the average score of students' assertiveness in making decisions about choosing a career was higher after being given group guidance services than before being given group guidance services, the assertiveness of students in making decisions about choosing a career was 29.6. The results of the implementation of group guidance services with problem-solving techniques on student assertiveness have a significant positive impact on the decision to choose a career.

Abstract

The counseling process has been significantly changed by advances in information and communication technology. The digital era has paved the way for virtual counseling services, which allow wider, more flexible, and anonymous access for those who need it, especially students. One of the important services provided to students to support their emotional, social, and academic growth is counseling. Counseling in higher education is increasingly being done virtually due to the rapid development of information technology. The purpose of this study is to investigate the dynamics of interpersonal relationships in virtual counseling, find problems, and find opportunities and intervention strategies that may be used in this situation. It is important to understand these challenges and create useful solutions for them. Some of the main problems that are often faced include difficulties in building strong emotional relationships, limitations in non-verbal interactions, and technical problems that can interfere with communication. The research method is a qualitative descriptive method by taking data from several libraries that are used as consideration. After reviewing the literature from various related research sources, this article concludes that although virtual counseling services present some technical problems and limitations in non-verbal interactions, they also offer greater opportunities. Appropriate intervention strategies include technology skills training, use of safe platforms, and approaches that rely more on effective communication skills.
