Abstract

Alas Veenuz Trawas is a nature-based tourist destination in Trawas, Mojokerto, East Java, where visitor numbers rise and fall with the season. This seasonal pattern brings a recognizable strain on employees: service becomes inconsistent, complaints take longer to resolve, and fatigue grows visible among staff signs suggesting that performance here cannot be explained by operational standards alone, but is also shaped by psychological and behavioral conditions. This study set out to examine three such conditions emotional intelligence, workload, and work discipline and their combined effect on how employees perform. All 80 employees at the site were surveyed using a Likert-format questionnaire, following an explanatory, cross-sectional design; multiple linear regression was applied to analyze the collected data in SPSS 26, after the instrument passed checks for validity and reliability and the regression model cleared each classical assumption test. Two of the three predictors, emotional intelligence and work discipline, were found to raise performance significantly, while workload pulled it down just as significantly. Combined, the three variables accounted for 71.1% of the variance in performance outcomes. The implication is straightforward: sustaining service quality in a seasonal, nature-based tourism business depends on keeping workload in check while continuing to build emotional skills and discipline among staff.

Abstract

The success of a labor-intensive manufacturing industry such as CV. Rexwing Shoes depends on the stability of employee performance, yet the company faces fluctuating production volume and frequent defective (reject) products on the assembly line, allegedly caused by suboptimal compensation and declining work motivation. This study examines the effect of financial compensation, non-financial compensation, and work motivation on employee performance at CV. Rexwing Shoes, both partially and simultaneously. The study employs a quantitative approach with a causal-correlational design. The sample covers all 50 employees (saturation sampling), using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire analyzed through multiple linear regression via SPSS 25. Results show that financial compensation, non-financial compensation, and work motivation each have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. This is evidenced by t-values (4.299; 6.828; 3.346) exceeding the t-table (2.013), significance < 0.05, and an F-value of 30.382 exceeding the F-table (3.20), significance 0.000, with an Adjusted R Square of 0.643. Non-financial compensation contributes most dominantly, while the three variables together explain 64.3% of employee performance variation. It is concluded that improving employee performance requires synergy between fair compensation management and stronger work motivation, giving management a basis for reward and motivation strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of the work environment, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), and workload on employee productivity levels at UD. Amanah. A quantitative associative approach was used, involving the distribution of questionnaires to 60 permanent employees in the production department. Data processing began with descriptive statistical analysis, validity testing, and reliability testing. After meeting all the requirements of the classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, autocorrelation, and linearity), the analysis continued with multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and R² analysis. Field findings confirm that work environment conditions and the implementation of occupational safety and health (OSH) have a positive and significant effect on productivity (t = 9.094 and t = 8.497; sig. = 0.000). On the other hand, workload has a significant negative effect (t = -4.727; sig. = 0.000). Collectively, these three factors account for 77.9% of the variation in productivity (F = 65.778; sig. = 0.000), while the remainder is explained by other variables..

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of workload and work stress on employee work motivation, with job satisfaction serving as an intervening variable among production employees at PT Bambang Djaja. This study employed a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 production employees. A saturated sampling technique was employed, whereby all members of the population were included as research respondents. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The analytical procedures included the evaluation of the measurement model (outer model), structural model (inner model), hypothesis testing, and intervening effect analysis. The findings indicate that workload has a significant effect on work motivation, while work stress also has a significant effect on work motivation. Furthermore, job satisfaction was found to partially mediate the effect of workload on work motivation and to partially mediate the effect of work stress on work motivation. These findings highlight the important role of job satisfaction as a mechanism linking workload and work stress to employees' work motivation. Therefore, effective management of workload and work stress, accompanied by efforts to enhance job satisfaction, is essential for maintaining and improving the work motivation of production employees at PT Bambang Djaja.
