Abstract

This study aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities in Indonesia's transition towards a green economy, with a focus on the shift from fossil fuel dependence to renewable energy. As a developing country with abundant natural resource potential, Indonesia faces significant challenges in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving the Net Zero Emission target by 2060. The study finds that although Indonesia has significant renewable energy potential such as solar, wind, and geothermal energy the development of renewable energy infrastructure and technology remains limited. Additionally, resistance from the fossil fuel industry and energy distribution inequality across regions pose obstacles to the implementation of energy transition policies. However, this transition also offers new economic opportunities, including the creation of green jobs and the growth of the green technology sector. Collaboration among the government, private sector, society, and academia is needed to accelerate the transition towards a sustainable green economy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze community investment strategies in response to the surge in gold prices amid global economic uncertainty. Such uncertainty is characterized by high inflation, fluctuations in the rupiah exchange rate, and unstable international geopolitical conditions. Data were obtained through a survey of 130 respondents from various age groups and educational backgrounds in Indonesia. The research method used is quantitative, employing a descriptive approach and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS. The findings indicate that the majority of the population chooses gold as their primary investment instrument due to its perception as a safe haven asset. Simultaneously, the variables of gold price, financial literacy, and economic risk perception have a significant influence on people's investment strategies. Among these three variables, gold price exerts the most dominant effect. Furthermore, financial literacy is found to play a crucial role in determining portfolio diversification, while risk perception is largely based on concerns about the economic future. These findings have important implications for policymakers in improving investor education and protection, especially in the digital era which increasingly facilitates access to both physical and digital gold investment instruments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial technology (fintech) on the level of adoption of digital financial services among the Indonesian population. Using a quantitative approach and the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method, this research examines the variables of ease of use, user trust, perceived usefulness, and system security on the adoption level of fintech services. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 fintech users across various regions. The analysis results show that all four variables have a significant influence on the adoption of digital financial services, with perceived usefulness being the dominant factor. Ease of use and trust also play important roles in shaping users’ decisions, while the security aspect serves as a supporting factor influencing user retention. These findings offer insights for fintech developers and regulators to improve service quality and accelerate digital financial inclusion. This study also highlights the importance of consumer education and protection in the era of digital financial transformation.

Abstract

This study explores women's experiences in managing small businesses in the digital age using a narrative approach. By collecting in-depth stories from female entrepreneurs, the research highlights how digital technologies such as social media, e-commerce platforms, and digital business tools have transformed the way women operate and grow their businesses. The findings reveal that digitalization has opened up new market opportunities, enhanced business efficiency, and empowered women to innovate and assert greater autonomy in their entrepreneurial roles. However, challenges such as digital literacy gaps, limited financial resources, and socio-cultural constraints remain prevalent. Despite these barriers, many women demonstrate resilience and adaptability, especially when supported by family, community networks, and access to digital training. The study underscores the importance of integrating digital support systems into entrepreneurship development programs to foster inclusive economic empowerment. Overall, digitalization emerges not only as a technical tool but also as a strategic means to advance gender equality in the economic sector.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the socio-economic impact of digitalization programs implemented by the government, focusing on citizens' perspectives. The research examines the extent to which the digitalization of public services such as e-ID (e-KTP), e-tax, and e-health has improved efficiency, transparency, and accessibility. The method used is a survey involving respondents from various regions, combining quantitative and qualitative analysis to explore public perceptions, adoption, and challenges. The findings show that although digitalization offers convenience for the majority of citizens, there remains a gap in access, especially among those with low digital literacy and residents in remote areas. Moreover, concerns about data privacy and security persist, particularly among vulnerable populations who lack adequate understanding of their rights and protections in the digital sphere. Respondents also expressed differing levels of satisfaction depending on their previous exposure to technology and the quality of local infrastructure. While urban populations generally report smoother adoption and more positive experiences, rural communities often face difficulties due to unstable internet connections and limited assistance in using digital platforms. This disparity underscores the need for targeted interventions, such as community-based training programs and the development of offline-compatible systems. Overall, this study provides evidence that while digitalization holds significant promise for enhancing public service delivery, its success hinges on the government's ability to ensure equitable access, foster public trust, and build digital capacity across all demographics.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of malaria eradication programs in Papua, Indonesia, with a focus on implementation in endemic areas. Through a qualitative approach and case study method, the study involved in-depth interviews with health workers, communities, and policy makers in several districts in Papua. The results showed that although programs such as the distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets and spraying of insecticides have had a positive impact in the reduction of malaria cases, significant challenges remain, especially regarding the accessibility of remote areas and limited resources. Communities and health workers expect an increase in malaria education, training for field workers, and increased budgets and equipment to support the success of the program throughout Papua. This study provides recommendations to improve coordination between sectors and the implementation of programs that are more targeted and based on local needs.

Abstract

The expansion of e-commerce in Indonesia has significantly transformed digital transactions, offering unparalleled convenience while simultaneously giving rise to pressing legal concerns regarding the distribution of unauthorized goods. Items such as unregulated pharmaceuticals, harmful beauty products, and counterfeit merchandise are increasingly prevalent on online marketplaces, endangering consumer safety. This research adopts a normative juridical framework, incorporating legislative, theoretical, and case-study approaches to examine the extent of liability e-commerce platforms bear in facilitating the trade of illegal products. Under Indonesia’s Consumer Protection Law, Trade Law, and the Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law, these platforms are expected to regulate and oversee transactions, yet in practice, accountability predominantly falls on individual vendors. The principles of strict liability and vicarious liability provide a legal basis for evaluating platform responsibility in such cases. Findings suggest that enforcement mechanisms remain insufficient, allowing gaps in regulatory oversight. To address this, robust policies must be introduced, including stringent verification protocols for sellers and products, alongside stronger governmental supervision of digital commerce. Strengthening these regulatory frameworks will not only enhance consumer rights but also curtail the proliferation of illegal goods across e-commerce platforms, ensuring a safer and more accountable online marketplace.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven the growth of online transactions through marketplace platforms, providing convenience for consumers in shopping. However, as electronic transactions increase, various disputes have arisen between consumers and business actors, such as mismatched products, delayed deliveries, and fraud. This study aims to examine the consumer dispute resolution mechanisms in marketplace transactions from a legal perspective, assess the effectiveness of existing regulations, and identify the challenges faced in their implementation. The research method used is normative legal research with a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The results of the study show that existing regulations, such as the Consumer Protection Law and the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE Law), have not been fully effective in providing legal certainty for consumers. Differences in dispute resolution mechanisms across marketplaces and low consumer legal literacy are the main obstacles in protecting consumer rights. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen regulations, ensure transparency in dispute resolution procedures, and improve consumer education to optimize the consumer protection system in electronic transactions.

Abstract

The revision of the Indonesian Civil Code, inherited from Dutch colonial law, has become an urgent necessity in responding to the dynamic development of society, economy, and technology. This normative legal research aims to analyze the fundamental challenges faced in the process of revising the Civil Code, as well as the strategic opportunities that can be utilized to modernize the legal system. Through a normative-juridical approach supported by literature studies, legal documents, and comparative law analysis, this study identifies key weaknesses in the current Civil Code, such as outdated norms, lack of digital regulation, and inadequate protection for contemporary civil relations. The research also reveals the potential benefits of integrating digital law, simplifying legal procedures, recognizing local customary laws, and embedding the principle of justice to enhance legal relevance and responsiveness. The findings of this study offer theoretical and practical recommendations for stakeholders involved in legal reform efforts, emphasizing that modernizing civil law must be grounded in Indonesia's socio-cultural context while embracing global legal developments.

Abstract

This study discusses the influence of customary law on the distribution of inheritance within indigenous communities in Indonesia, as well as how customary law is recognized within the national legal system. Indigenous communities possess diverse inheritance systems, such as patrilineal (Batak, Nias), matrilineal (Minangkabau), and bilateral (Javanese, Sundanese) systems, which often differ from the provisions of positive law, such as the Civil Code and the Compilation of Islamic Law. This study employs normative legal research methods with a statutory approach to analyze the regulations governing customary inheritance. The findings indicate that although the state has acknowledged the existence of customary law through Article 18B Paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution, Law No. 5 of 1960, and Law No. 6 of 2014, challenges remain in its implementation particularly regarding conflicts with national law and the potential for gender discrimination in certain customary systems. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for harmonization between customary and national law to create a more equitable inheritance system that aligns with the principles of human rights protection.
