Abstract

Background: During the climacteric period, changes occur in a woman due to reduced estrogen levels. One of these changes is a change in psychological well-being (PWB), which impacts women's quality of life. Self-compassion training is needed to improve the ability to be compassionate towards oneself. The design of this training module will address three key aspects: self-kindness versus self-judgment, a sense of common humanity versus isolation, and mindfulness versus overidentification.  Objectives: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of self-compassion training in improving psychological well-being in women during climacteric periods.Methods: This study employs an action research approach with a single-group pretest and posttest experimental design (One Group Pretest-Posttest Design). The sample in this study was 59 respondents taken using a purposive sampling technique, with inclusion criteria including being willing to be respondents, aged 45-60 years old, not undergoing hormone replacement therapy, and still living with their husbands. Data analysis was carried out after the Psychological Well Being pretest and posttest data were collected, with the help of Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 17.0 release for Windows. Quantitative data analysis used a Parametric Statistics Paired Sample t-test, with a significance level set at p <0.05Results: Based on the study's results, it was found that the majority of respondents were aged 45-50 years, with 25 people (42.4%). Additionally, 30 people (50.8%) had two children, 76.3% were unemployed, and 72.9% had experienced menopause. The average psychological well-being pretest was 69.5, and the posttest was 79.8. Based on the results of the bivariate analysis, a significance value of 0.000 was obtained (p-value <0.05).Conclusions: There is a difference in psychological well-being before and after self-compassion intervention is given to climacteric women

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                                     Kekerasan seksual terhadap anak merupakan permasalahan serius yang berdampak negatif pada perkembangan fisik, psikologis, dan sosial anak. Data menunjukkan peningkatan kasus kekerasan seksual pada anak di berbagai negara, termasuk Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya pencegahan yang efektif untuk melindungi anak-anak dari ancaman tersebut. Salah satu metode yang telah terbukti efektif adalah melakukan edukasi secara dini tentang batasan tubuh pribadi pada anak. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pemahaman anak usia sekolah tentang pencegahan kekerasan seksual dengan mengajarkan tentang batasan tubuh pribadi di TK Tunas Islam Bantuk. Mitra pada pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah Taman Kanak-kanak Tunas Islam Bantul, yang berjumlah 52 anak dengan rentang usai 5-7 tahun. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam 3 tahapan tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Tahap persiapan meliputi pengurusan surat izin, persiapan materi edukasi, persiapan ruangan dan peserta. Tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu melakukan pendidikan kesehatan dengan menggunakan video animasi untuk meningkatkan retensi pemahaman anak usia prasekolah. Setelah menonton video dilanjutkan dengan penjelasan materi. Kemudian anak usia pra sekolah diajarkan lagu tentang ”sentuhan boleh, dan sentuhan tidak boleh” dinyanyikan secara berulang-ulang. Tahap evaluasi adalah melakukan evaluasi kepada anak-anak terkait pengetahuan kekerasan seksual yang sudah mereka dapatkan saat penyuluhan. Pada tahap ini juga dilakukan penyusunan laporan hasil pendidikan kesehatan yang diberikan kepada anak usia prasekolah. Hasil pengabdian ditemukan 82,7% peserta berumur 6 tahun, dan 53,8% berjenis kelamin laki-laki. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan anak usia pra sekolah terhadap batasan tubuh pribadi, area tubuh yang boleh disentuh atau tidak boleh disentuh. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini ada peningkatan pemahaman anak tentang pencegahan kekerasan seksual dibuktikan dengan anak usia pra sekolah mampu menjawab setiap pertanyaan dari pengabdi.Kata kunci: kekerasan seksual; batasan tubuh; anak usia pra sekolah  ABSTRACTChild sexual abuse is a serious problem that negatively affects the physical, psychological, and social development of children. Data shows an increase in cases of child sexual abuse in various countries, including Indonesia. Therefore, effective prevention efforts are needed to protect children from this threat. One method that has been proven effective is educating children about their personal body boundaries at an early age. The purpose of this service is to increase school-age children's understanding of sexual violence prevention by teaching about personal body boundaries. The partner institution for implementing this program is Tunas Islam Kindergarten in Bantul, which involves a total of 52 children aged between 5 and 7 years. The implementation of this activity was carried out in 3 stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage includes obtaining permission letters, preparing educational materials, and preparing rooms and participants. The implementation stage of the activity is to conduct health education using animated videos to increase the retention of preschool children's understanding. After watching the video, followed by an explanation of the educational material. Then, preschool children are taught a song about “touch is allowed, and touch is not allowed” sung repeatedly. The evaluation stage is to evaluate the children regarding the knowledge of sexual violence that they have obtained during counseling. At this stage, a report on the results of health education. The service results found that 82.7% of participants were 6 years old, and 53.8% were male. There is an increase in pre-school children's knowledge of personal body boundaries, areas of the body that can or should not be touched. This activity concludes that there is an increase in children's understanding of the prevention of sexual violence as evidenced by pre-school children being able to answer every question from the research.Keywords: sexual violence; body boundaries; preschool children

Abstract

Background: Adolescent reproductive problems will lead to malnutrition, late growth, disease, and stres. During puberty, about 80-90% of woman will experience PMS symptoms. Factors that cause PMS include hormonal factors, genetic factors, lifestyle factors related to weight gain, sleep quality, and physical activity. One of the psychological factors were stress. The symptoms of PMS will be even more intense when the woman continues to experience pressure. Objective: to determine the association between menarche, menstrual cycle, stress level, sleep quality, BMI with the incidence of premenstrual syndrome. Methods: Quantitative research design using a cross-sectional approach. Samples were taken using stratified random sampling technique, namely 99 students of class XI at SMAN 1 Godean. Retrieval of data using google form, namely in July 2020. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The results of the study were analyzed by univariate, bivariate using Somer’s test, and logistic regression for multivariate analysis. Results: In the characterictics of the respondents, most of the female students were at the age of 17 years with a total of 62 students (62.6%), most of the menstrual habits in the routine category were 87 students (87,9%). There were association between sleep quality, stress level with premenstrual syndrome with each value of p=0.001 (OR=7.043; 95%CI=1.542-32.164) and p=0.002 (OR=1.025; 95%CI=0.296-3.554). There was no association between BMI, menstrual cycle, and menarche with the incidence of premenstrual syndrome with p=0.785, p=0.969, p=0.768, respectively. Conclusion: Multivariate test with logistic regression found that the most dominant factors associated with the incidence of premenstrual syndrome were sleep quality.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                                     Usia prasekolah merupakan masa kritis pembentukan kebiasaan dan perilaku. Pada fase ini, anak активно mengeksplorasi lingkungan, seperti bermain, berbagi mainan, dan memasukkan tangan ke mulut, sehingga meningkatkan risiko paparan kuman penyebab infeksi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya pencegahan melalui perilaku cuci tangan. Edukasi menggunakan media audiovisual dan demonstrasi merupakan metode efektif untuk meningkatkan perilaku cuci tangan pada anak usia prasekolah. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan penyuluhan kesehatan dan membangun kebiasaan baik yaitu perilaku cuci tangan yang benar. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di TK Tunas Islam dengan responden siswa-siswi kelas B sejumlah 50 anak. Kegiatan pengadian ini terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Tahap persiapan meliputi koordinasi dengan pihak sekolah, pengkajian siswa-siswi, pengurusan surat, persiapan materi, media edukasi dan lokasi pelaksanaan kegiatan. Tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu melakukan edukasi tentang cuci tangan dengan menggunakan media power point dan video kemudian dilanjutkan dengan demonstrasi cuci tangan menggunakan sabun. Tahap ketiga adalah tahap evaluasi yaitu melakukan evaluasi kegiatan, dan menyusun laporan kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah data demografi responden berdasarkan jenis kelamin yaitu sama antara laki-laki dan Perempuan (50%), sedangkan berdasarkan usia mayoritas berusia  6 tahun sebanyak  82%. Secara observasi, setelah dilakukan demonstrasi cuci tangan, antusiasme siswa meningkat dan mereka mampu meniru gerakan dengan tepat setelah demonstrasi. Terdapat peningkatan perilaku cuci tangan dengan benar pada saat siswa-siswi melakukan demonstrasi cuci tangan. Kesimpulan kegiatan ini adalah edukasi cuci tangan dengan menggunakan media audio visual dan demonstrasi efektif untuk meningkatkan perilaku cuci tangan yang benar pada anak usia prasekolah.Kata kunci: Cuci Tangan; Prasekolah; Demonstrasi; Health Education; Audiovisual. ABSTRACTPreschool age is a critical period for the formation of habits, values, and behavior. During this period, children are in a very active phase of exploration, touching various objects, playing in open environments, sharing toys, and unconsciously putting their hands in their mouths. All of these activities are part of a child's natural learning process, but at the same time increase the risk of exposure to germs that can cause infectious diseases. Therefore, efforts to prevent this need to be made, one of which is by washing hands. One effective method to improve hand washing behavior in preschoolers is through education using audiovisual media and demonstrations. The purpose of this activity is to provide health education and build good habits, namely proper hand washing behavior. This activity was carried out at Tunas Islam Kindergarten with 50 students from class B as respondents. his activity consisted of three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The preparation stage included coordination with the school, assessment of students, letter management, preparation of materials, educational media, and the location for the activity. The implementation stage involved educating students about hand washing using PowerPoint and video presentations, followed by a demonstration of hand washing with soap. The third stage was the evaluation stage, which involved evaluating the activity and compiling a report. The results of this community service activity are demographic data on respondents based on gender, which is equal between males and females (50%), while based on age, the majority are 6 years old, accounting for 82%. There was an increase in proper handwashing behavior when the students demonstrated handwashing. The conclusion of this activity is that handwashing education using audio-visual media and demonstrations is effective in improving proper handwashing behavior in preschool-aged children.Keywords: Handwashing; Kindergarten; Demonstration; Health Education; Audiovisual.

Abstract

Adolescence is a vulnerable period for risky behavior, including premarital sexual intercourse, which can potentially lead to unwanted pregnancy (KTD). Comprehensive reproductive health education is considered an effective preventive strategy. This community service activity aims to improve the understanding of students at SMA Negeri 1 Gamping, Yogyakarta, and to evaluate the effectiveness of health education in increasing adolescent knowledge about preventing premarital pregnancy. The partner for this community service implementation was SMA Negeri 1 Gamping, Yogyakarta, with 29 12th-grade students participating. The program was implemented in October 2025 with 29 12th-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Gamping (17 boys and 12 girls). This community service implementation was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation phase included obtaining a community service permit and preparing educational materials, posters, and educational videos on preventing premarital pregnancy. The intervention consisted of a single health education session covering reproductive health, the risks of premarital sexual intercourse, and prevention methods. The evaluation phase involved distributing a post-test questionnaire to assess respondents' understanding of premarital pregnancy prevention. Effectiveness was evaluated by comparing knowledge levels before and after the counseling. Before the education, 25 people (86.2%) had good knowledge, and 4 people (13.8%) had poor knowledge. After the education, this increased to 28 people (96.6%) having good knowledge and only 1 person (3.4%) having poor knowledge. These results indicate that health education significantly improved participants' knowledge. Health education has proven effective as an intervention to increase adolescents' understanding of premarital pregnancy prevention. Similar programs are recommended for sustainable and broader implementation in schools as part of adolescent health promotion and prevention efforts.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a significant health problem in children as it poses a risk of death. In Indonesia, the prevalence of diarrhea in school-aged children (6-12 years) ranges from 2-20%, with 28.9% of children affected, making it the second highest cause of death in this age group. One main contributing factor is the lack of personal hygiene behavior, which plays an important role in maintaining health, safety, and well-being. This study aimed to determine the relationship between personal hygiene behavior and the incidence of diarrhea in primary school children at SD Negeri Banguntapan Bantul. Method : Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, this study involved 77 respondents selected through total sampling and measured using a questionnaire. The Result :  showed that 66.2% of respondents had poor hygiene behavior, and 75.3% experienced diarrhea. The contingency coefficient test showed a p-value of 0.000, indicating a significant relationship, with an r-value of 0.594 indicating a moderate relationship. In Conclusión : there is a significant relationship between personal hygiene behavior and the incidence of diarrhea in school-age children at SD Negeri Banguntapan Bantul.

Abstract

Anak dengan retardasi mental mengalami penurunan fungsi intelektual, adaptasi social, dan gangguan perkembangan. Anak dengan retardasi mental mengalami kesulitan dalam pemenuhan ADL (activity daily living ) seperti makan, minum, berpakaian, toileting, dan lain-lain. Sehingga membutuhkan peran orangtua dalam membantu mereka melakukan ADLnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan tingkat kemandirian activity daily living (ADL) pada anak retardasi mental di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik Sampling dengan purposive sampling sebanyak 46 orang tua anak dengan retardasi mental. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji Kendall Tau dengan tingkat kemaknaan p < 0,05. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa peran orang tua yang mendampingi anak retardasi mental di Yogyakarta dengan kategori tinggi sebanyak (58,7%). Tingkat kemandirian activity daily living pada anak retardasi mental dengan kategori tinggi sebanyak (47,8%). Hasil uji Kendall Tau diperoleh nilai p (0,007) < 0,05 dengan nilai koefisien kontingensi sebesar 0,380. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara peran orang tua dengan tingkat kemandirian activity daily living (ADL) pada anak retardasi mental di Yogyakarta. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan anak retardasi mental yang didampingi dan dimotivasi orangtua lebih mampu secara mandiri dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari seperti ADL nya.

Abstract

Kasus stunting masih tinggi di Indonesia setara dengan 30,2% dari seluruh balita di Indonesia. Disebut stunting atau pendek apabila hasil pengukuran tinggi badan atau panjang badan anak dihubungkan dengan umur (TB/U, atau PB/U) dengan nilai Z- Score < -2, berdasarkan standar World Health Organization. Meskipun telah banyak usaha yang dilakukan untuk menekan angka stunting, tapi kenyataanya stunting masih tinggi. ASI eksklusif menjadi salah satu factor penyabab stunting. Masih banyak balita yang tidak diberikan ASI eksklusif selama 6 bulan pertama kehidupan, sehingga menyebabkan anak menjadi kurang gizi. Kekurangan gizi dalam waktu yang sangat lama diyakini menjadi penyebab stunting. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahuan gambaran status pemberian ASI eksklusif pada balita stunting di Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Design penelitian dengan menggunakan deskriptif, data anak balita stunting diperoleh dari Puskesmas selanjutnya dilakukan home visit untuk dilakukan pengukuran antropometri, dan orangtua responden diminta untuk mengisis kuesioner tentang status pemberian ASI eksklusif. Responden pada penelitian ini sebanyak 100 anak balita usia 2-5 tahun yang mengalami stunting (data puskesmas). Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa terdapat 52% balita stunting yang memiliki status pemberian ASI eksklusif dalam kategori “terpenuhi” dan ada 42% balita stunting tidak diberikan ASI eksklusif (“tidak terpenuhi”).

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Demam merupakan kondisi peningkatan suhu tubuh hingga ≥ 37,5⁰C. Angka kematian balita di Boyolali tahun 2021 mencapai 13 anak dengan 2 kasus demam. Tujuan penelitian: untuk mengetahui pengaruh video animasi tepid water sponge terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan ibu dalam menangani demam balita di Boyolali. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Quasi Eksperimen dengan pendekatan One Group Pretest Posttes Design. Sampel dalam adalah ibu yang memiliki balita usia 1-5 tahun dengan jumlah sampel 54 responden. Tingkat pengetahuan ibu ini diukur menggunakan kuesioner manajemen demam dengan tepid water sponge. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil: Ditemukan tingkat pengetahuan ibu sebelum diberikan video animasi tepid water sponge dalam kategori kurang sebesar (75,9%) dan setelah dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan dengan video animasi tepid water sponge dalam kategori baik sebanyak 87%. Hasil uji statistik Wilcoxon didapatkan nilai p-value 0.000. Kesimpulan: penelitian ini menyimpulkan adanya pengaruh video animasi tepid water sponge terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan ibu dalam menangani demam pada balita di Boyolali.
