Abstract

The objectives of this study are to: (1) Describe the mathematical problem-solving skills of SMK Negeri 2 Kendari grade X students who are taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model with assistance from Geogebra; and (2) ascertain the impact of the Problem Based Learning learning model with assistance from Geogebra on the mathematical problem-solving skills of SMK Negeri 2 Kendari grade X students. The participants in this study were all SMK Negeri 2 Kendari grade X students enrolled in the 2022–2023 academic year. The experimental class in this study was the X TMA class, and the control class was the X TM B class. The findings demonstrated that: (1) the experimental class students' mathematical problem-solving ability, taught using the Geogebra-assisted Problem Based Learning learning model, are in the following categories: excellent, comprising up to 8 students with a percentage of 29.6%; good, comprising up to 9 students with a percentage of 33.3%; sufficient, comprising 6 students with a percentage of 22.2%; poor, comprising up to 3 students with a percentage of 11.1%; and very poor, comprising 1 student with a percentage of 3.7%. The analysis's findings lead to the conclusion that, when it comes to the two-variable linear inequality system, the experimental class's descriptive mathematical problem-solving ability, which was taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model in conjunction with Geogebra, outperformed that of the control class, which was taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model alone. The value of t hitung = 2.591 was acquired from the hypothesis testing findings. It is evident that when tcount is high, H0 is disproved. In summary, students taught using the Geogebra-assisted Problem Based Learning learning model had an average greater level of mathematical problem solving skill than students taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mathematical reasoning abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Kulisusu Utara in solving PISA-based mathematics problems in the content of numbers. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were 3 students from class VIIIB at SMP Negeri 1 Kulisusu Utara, conducted during the 2020/2021 academic year. Data collection techniques included tests, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis, employing the theory of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, which involves data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicated that: Students with high mathematical abilities in solving PISA number content problems were found to have high mathematical reasoning abilities. Students with moderate mathematical abilities in solving PISA number content problems were found to have moderate mathematical reasoning abilities. Students with low mathematical abilities in solving PISA number content problems were found to have moderate mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

Interactive digital modules have now become a new commodity in the world of learning that must be a major concern in order to facilitate an efficient and flexible learning process. The purpose of this development is to create augmented reality to be used as a learning resource by all academics. This study uses the Lee Owens development model which consists of 4 stages, namely assessment/analysis, design, development and implementation, and evaluation. This development activity involved a learning media expert, a material expert, and 8 small group pilots to assess the feasibility of the digital module being developed. Based on the presentation of the validator's assessment of the augmented reality, it can be concluded that augmented reality is very valid criteria which means it is very good for use in learning with a percentage of 90.25% of media experts, 88.75% from material experts, and 86.5% from small group trials. Researchers recommend using this material as a learning resource for Information Technology courses that can be accessed on the Halu Oleo University website. Researchers also suggest making augmented reality as part of the learning materials developed.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is: (1) to describe the characteristics of Augmented Reality-based learning media in early childhood learning in PAUD Kendari City institutions, (2) to find out the validity of Augmented Reality-based learning media to be used in early childhood learning in PAUD institutions in Kendari City, (3) how to effectively learn by using augmented reality-based learning media in PAUD institutions in Kendari City. This research is a research development or Research and Development (R & D) with a design model developed by Lee & Owens (2004) consisting of four stages assessment/analysis, design, development and implementation, evaluation. The results of this study showed that (1) media characteristics developed are (a) using Augmented Reality technology, (b) independent learning resources for children during the covid-19 pandemic, (c) have flashcards, (d) learning media developed are contextual; (2) The development of Augmented Reality-based learning media in early childhood learning has been valid after going through a little revision so that this media product is feasible to be used in learning in PAUD institutions in Kendari City. This is indicated by a validator rating average of 3.57 with a very valid category; (3) Development of Augmented Reality-based learning media is effective for use in the learning of children of age in PAUD institutions in Kendari City. This is shown by (a) the average percentage of child development of 87.62 is in the excellent category, (b) 85.71% of kindergarten teachers respond positively to augmented reality-based learning media, (c) there is an increase in aspects of child development after using Augmented Reality-based learning media. This is indicated by the significance value of the paired t-test being less than α = 0.05.

Abstract

Era disrupsi digital menuntut guru untuk terus meningkatkan profesionalismenya agar mampu mengimplementasikan pembelajaran inovatif yang relevan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru SMPN 15 Kendari melalui model kolaboratif Deep Learning berbasis Lesson Study. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pembentukan kelompok Lesson Study, pelatihan penyusunan modul ajar, pendampingan open kelas, dan refleksi kolaboratif melalui siklus Plan–Do–See.
