Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing a cybernetic approach in learning management in developing students’ creativity and responsibility for learning at SMKN 1 Sawoo. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, the study explores the experiences and meanings constructed by teachers, students, and school administrators regarding the application of the cybernetic approach in the learning process. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, with participants selected purposively. The data were analyzed cyclically using an interactive analysis model. The findings show that the implementation of a cybernetic approach in learning management contributes to a more planned, controlled, and sustainable learning process, accompanied by more intensive teacher–student interaction. This approach positively influences students’ creativity, as reflected in their ability to generate ideas, think innovatively, and produce varied learning outcomes. In addition, students’ responsibility for learning improves, as indicated by increased discipline, independence, and commitment to completing learning tasks. These results suggest that the cybernetic approach has the potential to support more adaptive and meaningful learning management in vocational education contexts.

Abstract

Motivasi dan prestasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran kearsipan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan masih menjadi tantangan signifikan dalam pendidikan vokasional Indonesia. Rendahnya partisipasi aktif dan capaian hasil belajar yang belum optimal menuntut adanya strategi pedagogis yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi implementasi sistem reward dan punishment serta menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap motivasi dan prestasi belajar peserta didik kelas XI Manajemen Perkantoran SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo pada mata pelajaran kearsipan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus yang melibatkan 32 peserta didik sebagai subjek utama, satu guru mata pelajaran kearsipan, kepala program keahlian, dan tiga peserta didik informan terpilih berdasarkan kategori prestasi tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif terstruktur dengan indikator motivasi belajar dan interaksi pembelajaran, wawancara mendalam semi-terstruktur, serta dokumentasi prestasi belajar dan aktivitas pembelajaran. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana yang mencakup kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data dijamin melalui triangulasi sumber, triangulasi metode, member checking, dan peer debriefing. Temuan menunjukkan peserta didik memberikan respons positif terhadap sistem reward dan punishment dengan preferensi lebih tinggi terhadap reward. Reward verbal dan sosial terbukti efektif menumbuhkan motivasi intrinsik, sementara punishment edukatif berkontribusi pada pembentukan regulasi diri. Faktor internal peserta didik dan faktor eksternal berupa dukungan orang tua serta konsistensi pendidik menjadi determinan keberhasilan implementasi. Penelitian merekomendasikan pengembangan pedoman standar, pelatihan pendidik berkelanjutan, dan mekanisme evaluasi sistematis untuk mengoptimalkan efektivitas sistem dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of bilingual education at Semesta Bilingual Boarding School Semarang, focusing on teacher competence, pedagogical challenges faced, and improvement strategies applied. The research method used was a qualitative approach through direct observation and semi-structured interviews with the principal and teachers. The results of the study show that the implementation of bilingual education in this school has been running well and is supported by modern infrastructure such as interactive boards and Chromebooks. Teachers demonstrate strong professional and pedagogical competencies, although there are still variations in English proficiency and the application of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). The main challenges include the uneven linguistic abilities of teachers, the adaptation of new students to the bilingual system, and the suboptimal use of technology. Improvement efforts are carried out through regular training, workshops, seminars, and strengthening the teacher performance monitoring or evaluation system. This study concludes that the success of bilingual education is not only determined by language skills, but also by a continuous teacher professional development system, institutional support, and contextual instructional design. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pendidikan bilingual di Semesta Bilingual Boarding School Semarang, dengan fokus pada kompetensi guru, tantangan pedagogik yang dihadapi, serta strategi peningkatan yang diterapkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan kepala sekolah dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pendidikan bilingual di sekolah ini telah berjalan dengan baik dan ditunjang oleh infrastruktur modern seperti interactive board dan Chromebook. Guru menunjukkan kompetensi profesional dan pedagogik yang kuat, meskipun masih terdapat variasi dalam penguasaan bahasa Inggris dan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Tantangan utama meliputi ketidakmerataan kemampuan linguistik guru, adaptasi siswa baru terhadap sistem bilingual, serta pemanfaatan teknologi yang belum optimal. Upaya peningkatan dilakukan melalui pelatihan rutin, workshop, seminar, penguatan sistem monitoring atau evaluasi kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan pendidikan bilingual tidak hanya ditentukan oleh kemampuan bahasa, tetapi juga oleh sistem pengembangan profesional guru yang berkelanjutan, dukungan kelembagaan, dan desain instruksional yang kontekstual.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan teori belajar sibernetik dalam meningkatkan kemandirian dan kreativitas belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di era Society 5.0. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experiment dan desain post-test only control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 113 peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Jetis Kabupaten Ponorogo yang dibagi menjadi kelompok intervensi (59 peserta didik) dan kelompok kontrol (54 peserta didik). Kelompok intervensi diberikan pembelajaran berbasis teori belajar sibernetik yang menekankan pengolahan informasi, umpan balik, pemanfaatan teknologi, dan regulasi diri, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Data kemandirian dan kreativitas belajar dikumpulkan melalui angket skala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik nonparametrik Mann–Whitney U Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol baik pada variabel kemandirian belajar (p = 0,000) maupun kreativitas belajar (p = 0,004). Kelompok yang menerapkan pembelajaran sibernetik memiliki tingkat kemandirian dan kreativitas belajar yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teori belajar sibernetik efektif dalam meningkatkan kemandirian dan kreativitas peserta didik, sehingga relevan untuk diterapkan sebagai strategi pembelajaran inovatif yang mendukung tuntutan pendidikan di era 5.0.

Abstract

Background – Competency in analyzing business opportunities is a fundamental component of the Entrepreneurship and Crafts (PKWU) subject in the Indonesian curriculum. However, students often experience difficulties due to the abstract and complex nature of business analysis concepts, particularly in market, financial, and risk analysis. Research Objective – This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of EBizmate, an interactive digital learning media designed as a project-based business simulation platform, to enhance students’ competence in analyzing business opportunities. Research Method – This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The developed media was validated by experts in learning media, subject matter, and instructional design. Effectiveness testing was conducted using a quasi-experimental design involving 60 vocational high school students. Research Findings – The results indicated a significant improvement in business analysis competence among students using eBizmate. The experimental group achieved an N-Gain score of 0.64 (p < 0.001), which was higher than the control group’s N-Gain score of 0.34, with a large effect size (Cohen’s d = 1.21). These findings demonstrate that eBizmate effectively enhances students’ abilities in market analysis, financial analysis, and risk assessment. Research Conclusion – The study concludes that eBizmate is a valid, practical, and effective digital learning medium for supporting experiential learning and structured scaffolding within the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) framework in vocational entrepreneurship education. Research Novelty/Contribution – This research contributes an empirically validated model for integrating simulation-based digital learning media with Project-Based Learning to improve business opportunity analysis competence in vocational high school entrepreneurship education.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of repetition and reinforcement methods in developing vocational practical skills of students at SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo. The gap between vocational school graduates' competencies and industry needs drives the necessity for evaluating more effective learning methods. The study employs a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design involving 120 eleventh-grade students from Visual Communication Design and Accounting programs. Samples were divided into experimental groups receiving repetition and reinforcement methods treatment, and control groups with conventional learning. The intervention was conducted for 12 weeks with measurements using practical skills tests and observation sheets. Data analysis using descriptive and inferential statistics showed significant results. The experimental group achieved N-Gain 0.72 with score improvement from 64.23 to 85.45, while the control group only achieved N-Gain 0.28 with improvement from 63.87 to 72.18. Independent samples t-test produced t-value 10.127 with Cohen's d effect size of 1.85 indicating very large impact. Both vocational programs showed consistent improvement patterns with Visual Communication Design reaching effect size 1.92 and Accounting 1.81. Findings prove that integration of repetition and reinforcement methods effectively enhances students' vocational practical skills through structured repeated practice and continuous positive reinforcement. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi metode repetition dan reinforcement dalam pembentukan keterampilan praktik kejuruan siswa SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo. Kesenjangan antara kompetensi lulusan SMK dengan kebutuhan industri mendorong perlunya evaluasi metode pembelajaran yang lebih efektif. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design yang melibatkan 120 siswa kelas XI dari program Desain Komunikasi Visual dan Akuntansi. Sampel dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen yang mendapat perlakuan metode repetition dan reinforcement, serta kelompok kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Intervensi dilaksanakan selama 12 minggu dengan pengukuran menggunakan tes keterampilan praktik dan lembar observasi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial menunjukkan hasil signifikan. Kelompok eksperimen mencapai N-Gain 0,72 dengan peningkatan skor dari 64,23 menjadi 85,45, sementara kelompok kontrol hanya mencapai N-Gain 0,28 dengan peningkatan dari 63,87 menjadi 72,18. Uji independent samples t-test menghasilkan nilai t hitung 10,127 dengan effect size Cohen's d sebesar 1,85 yang mengindikasikan dampak sangat besar. Kedua program keahlian menunjukkan pola peningkatan konsisten dengan DKV mencapai effect size 1,92 dan Akuntansi 1,81. Temuan membuktikan bahwa integrasi metode repetition dan reinforcement secara efektif meningkatkan keterampilan praktik kejuruan siswa melalui praktik berulang terstruktur dan penguatan positif berkelanjutan.
