Abstract

Abstrak: Mahasiswa vokasi sering menghadapi hambatan psikologis (mental block) berupa kecemasan berlebih dan kurangnya kepercayaan diri saat berbicara Bahasa Inggris. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri (self-confidence) dan keterampilan komunikasi publik mahasiswa melalui pelatihan Impactful Communication. Pendekatan Action Learning digunakan dalam pelaksanaam kegiatan yang meliputi simulasi teknik non-verbal dan scripting. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di salah satu sekolah vokasi di Denpasar dengan melibatkan 44 mahasiswa aktif sebagai peserta. Evaluasi efektivitas program dilakukan melalui analisis deskriptif data pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi yang signifikan, di mana tingkat kepercayaan diri peserta melonjak dari kondisi awal yang mayoritas ragu-ragu menjadi 96% berada pada level percaya diri dan sangat percaya diri. Selain itu, 97% peserta menyatakan bahwa metode scaffolding yang diajarkan efektif menurunkan beban kognitif terkait tata bahasa (grammar). Program ini terbukti mampu mengubah perilaku komunikasi mahasiswa dari pasif menjadi aktif dalam waktu singkat.Abstract: Vocational students often face psychological barriers (mental blocks) such as excessive anxiety and lack of confidence when speaking English. The aims of this community service is to improve students' self-confidence and public communication skills through Impactful Communication training. The Action Learning approach was applied which included non-verbal technique simulations and scripting. The activity was conducted at one of vocational school in Denpasar, involving 44 active students as participants. Program effectiveness was evaluated through descriptive analysis of pre-test and post-test data. The results showed a significant improvement in competence, where participants' confidence levels surged from an initially hesitant condition to 96% at the confident and highly confident levels. Furthermore, 97% of participants stated that the taught scaffolding method effectively reduced the cognitive load related to grammar. This program proved effective in transforming students' communication behavior from passive to active in a short duration.

Abstract

Sampah merupakan salah satu masalah krusial yang sampai saat ini belum teratasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan implementasi kegiatan “Pemberdayaan Siswa SD dalam Mengatasi Sampah” dalam menanamkan pemahaman 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) dan menumbuhkan tanggung jawab pribadi pada siswa SD Saraswati 2 Denpasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan tiga tahapan: perencanaan melalui Design Thinking (tahap Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, dan Test), pelaksanaan kegiatan yang terdiri atas sosialisasi interaktif, workshop prakarya, dan pembentukan Tim Polisi Sampah, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test kepada 175 siswa kelas 2, 3, dan 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa mengenai 3R sebesar 38.22% serta 16.3% pada terbentuknya tanggung jawab pribadi. Siswa juga berpartisipasi aktif pada sosialisasi dan workshop prakarya yang diadakan. Sebagai bentuk keberlanjutan, kegiatan ini telah membentuk “Tim Polisi Sampah” di tiap kelas. Abstract

Kesehatan mental remaja menjadi isu penting dalam pembangunan sumber daya manusia, terutama sejalan dengan tujuan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, yaitu kehidupan sehat dan kesejahteraan yang baik. Remaja sering menghadapi berbagai tekanan seperti tuntutan akademik, pergaulan sosial, serta pengaruh media digital yang dapat memicu stres, kecemasan, dan penurunan kesejahteraan psikologis. Kurangnya pemahaman mengenai kesehatan mental juga menyebabkan remaja sulit mengenali dan mengelola kondisi emosional mereka. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran siswa SMPN 2 KUTA UTARA mengenai pentingnya menjaga kesehatan mental serta cara mengelola emosi secara positif. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi dan edukasi melalui cara ekspositori dan partisipatif yang melibatkan enam puluh orang siswa kelas 7, serta kegiatan pembuatan pohon harapan digunakan sebagai bentuk evaluasi reflektif untuk mengetahui pemahaman, harapan, serta perubahan sikap peserta setelah mengikuti kegiatan edukasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa edukasi ini mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran remaja mengenai pentingnya kesehatan mental. Dengan demikian, siswa yang sebelumnya cenderung tertutup kini menjadi lebih terbuka dan berani menyampaikan isi hati. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesehatan mental pada diri mereka serta mendukung tercapainya tujuan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 dalam mewujudkan kehidupan yang sehat dan sejahtera.

Abstract

Abstract: Computational thinking has become an essential skill in the digital era; however, access to programming education remains limited, especially for children in orphanages. This community service activity aims to improve basic programming understanding through Scratch-based learning for children at Wisma Anak-Anak Harapan Orphanage. The method employed includes preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages using an interactive and fun learning approach. The participants consisted of 10 elementary school students who were introduced to fundamental programming concepts such as using sprites, arranging command blocks, and integrating sound. The results indicate that most participants were able to understand and practice basic programming concepts, achieving fair to good performance levels. However, younger participants still required assistance in understanding algorithmic sequences. Overall, Scratch proved to be an effective and engaging medium to enhance children’s initial programming skills, highlighting its importance as an adaptive learning tool. Keywords: Scratch, Basic Programming, Computational Thinking, Elementary Students, Community Service Abstrak:  Keterampilan berpikir komputasional menjadi kompetensi penting di era digital, namun masih terbatas diperoleh oleh anak-anak di lingkungan panti asuhan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dasar pemrograman melalui media Scratch pada anak-anak di Panti Asuhan Wisma Anak-Anak Harapan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi dengan pendekatan pembelajaran interaktif berbasis fun learning. Peserta berjumlah 10 siswa sekolah dasar yang diberikan materi dasar pemrograman seperti penggunaan sprite, blok perintah, dan integrasi suara. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta mampu memahami dan mempraktikkan konsep dasar pemrograman dengan kategori capaian cukup baik hingga baik. Namun, peserta usia lebih rendah masih memerlukan pendampingan dalam memahami alur algoritma. Secara keseluruhan, penggunaan Scratch terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan minat dan kemampuan awal pemrograman anak-anak, sehingga penting untuk diterapkan sebagai media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan adaptif. Abstract

Abstrak Permasalahan sampah global menuntut penanganan sistematis sejak dini, namun SD Adhi Mekar Indonesia (AMI) belum memiliki sistem pemilahan sampah terstandar. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan dan keterampilan praktis siswa menggunakan kerangka kerja Design Thinking. Metode pelaksanaan melibatkan 25 siswa kelas 6 melalui sosialisasi interaktif, gim edukatif berbasis pengalaman, dan pemasangan poster pendidikan. Evaluasi keberhasilan program diukur secara kuantitatif dengan membandingkan tingkat akurasi pemilahan sampah pada sesi praktik mandiri (sebelum pendampingan) dan sesi terbimbing (setelah pendampingan), yang diperkuat dengan wawancara evaluasi daring bersama guru dan siswa. Media visual juga terbukti efektif sebagai pengingat perilaku proaktif. Simpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman sangat adaptif dengan karakteristik kognitif siswa sekolah dasar. Praktik ini perlu diintegrasikan ke dalam regulasi sekolah dan didukung infrastruktur permanen guna menjamin keberlanjutan budaya peduli lingkungan jangka panjang. Abstract Global waste management issues require systematic intervention from an early age. However, SD Adhi Mekar Indonesia (AMI) has not yet implemented a standardized waste segregation system. This community service program aimed to improve students’ environmental awareness and practical waste-sorting skills using the Design Thinking framework. The implementation involved 25 sixth-grade students through interactive socialization sessions, experience-based educational games, and the installation of educational posters. Program effectiveness was quantitatively evaluated by comparing the accuracy of waste segregation during independent practice sessions (before assistance) and guided practice sessions (after assistance), supported by online evaluation interviews with teachers and students. Visual media also proved effective as a reminder to encourage proactive behavior. The results indicate that experiential learning is highly adaptive to the cognitive characteristics of elementary school students. This practice should be integrated into school regulations and supported by permanent infrastructure to ensure the long-term sustainability of an environmentally responsible culture. Abstract

In the face of increasing financial complexity, providing elementary school students with fundamental financial literacy knowledge has become more imperative. Financial literacy is an essential life skill, but traditional teaching methods may not capture student's attention. This community service project sought to improve financial literacy among students at SDN 11 Pemecutan, Denpasar, through the gamification method "LIFIN" (Literacy Financial) using the PALAR (Participatory Action Learning and Action Research) approach. A total of 65 sixth-grade students participated. A pre-test was conducted one week prior with 54 students, while 39 completed the post-test two months later. Analysis of the 39 matched students showed an improvement in correct answers from 51% to 84.6%, and 71.8% showed high engagement with gamification, proving that game-based financial literacy education provides an interactive and effective learning experience. SDN 11 Pemecutan has committed to adopting "LIFIN" regularly across all grade levels.

Abstract

Marginalized children are prone to developing a fixed mindset that hinders their learning persistence. This community service program aimed to strengthen the learning resilience of children at Sanggar Lentera Anak Bali through swan origami activities and a Pohon Semangat (Spirit Tree) mural. Using a descriptive participatory design, 20 participants aged 7–17 engaged in a two-hour session consisting of growth mindset psychoeducation, a structured failure simulation through origami folding, collaborative games, and commitment mural creation. Observational, interview, and documentation data were analyzed thematically. Results indicated that 90% of children shifted their verbal response from "I cannot" to "I cannot yet," as measured by the frequency of positive affirmation use following the failure simulation, alongside a notable increase in independent task persistence. The mural served as a sustained visual affirmation that supported children's self-regulation. The combination of visual-kinesthetic media, local cultural values, and a social justice orientation proved effective in building children's learning resilience, with direct relevance to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and the 5th Principle of Pancasila.

Abstract

Verbal bullying still frequently occurs in elementary school settings, such as physical taunts or name-calling directed at parents, which students often dismiss as jokes. This behavior can negatively impact children's friendships and their sense of comfort while learning at school. This activity was designed to enhance students' knowledge and attitudes regarding verbal bullying and ways to prevent it. The activity was conducted at Dalung State Elementary School 1, involving 21 students through an educational outreach session. The material covered included the concept, forms, impacts, and prevention of bullying. The material was delivered interactively through brief explanations, discussions, and crossword puzzles. A pre-test was administered one week before the session, with 14 students participating, while 15 students took the post-test on the day of the activity. Data analysis of the 14 students who took both the pre-test and post-test showed improvements across all measured aspects, including understanding of bullying (42.9%), understanding of verbal bullying (42.9%), understanding of bullying prevention methods (42.9%), anti-bullying attitudes (21.4%), and commitment to not engage in bullying (28.6%). These results indicate that interactive socialization is effective in improving elementary school students' understanding of and anti-bullying attitudes toward bullying.

Abstract

Social media is one of the most effective promotional tools today. At SMAN 1 Penebel, student organization members use social media to promote their school, but many still lack the skills to create engaging content. This community service activity aims to improve students’ ability to use social media as a promotional tool. The activity uses a Design Thinking approach with five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. In the empathize stage, interviews were conducted with students and teachers to identify existing issues. In the define stage, a vote was held to select one main problem. During ideation, team members proposed solution ideas. In the prototype stage, a prototype was designed as a basis for implementation, and in the test stage, it was validated. The implementation was carried out through practice-based training, where students were directly taught how to create content. Evaluation results from questionnaires showed that most students responded “fairly understand” and “fully understand” with the highest understanding in video editing applications and scriptwriting. It can be concluded that the majority of OSIS students improved their ability to use social media as a school promotional medium.
