Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of psychological distress, fear and anxiety on life satisfaction, with sleep disturbances as a mediating variable. This study is motivated by the increasing prevalence of sleep disturbances due to emotional and psychological distress, which can significantly impact individual well-being. The research uses a quantitative approach with data collection through surveys of research subjects who meet certain criteria. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to test the direct and indirect relationships between variables. The research results indicate that psychological distress, fear and anxiety do not have a positive influence on life satisfaction (with path coefficients of 0.092; p=0.503 and -0.137; p=0.370, respectively). However, sleep disturbances have a significant influence on life satisfaction (path coefficient of 0.942; p=0.000). Additionally, sleep disturbances have been shown to mediate the relationship between psychological stress and life satisfaction (t=-3.715; p=0.000), as well as the relationship between anxiety and life satisfaction (t=-4.299; p=0.000). These findings emphasize the importance of sleep disturbances as a strong mediating factor in linking psychological stress and anxiety with life satisfaction. This research makes a significant contribution to understanding the psychological mechanisms that affect individual well-being and can serve as a basis for more effective mental health interventions.

Abstract

Job stress, as a major well-being issue in the contemporary world of work, is attracting increasing attention from researchers, especially in the context of its effects on women. Women often fulfill dual roles as professional workers and household leaders, presenting unique challenges in managing multiple demands both at work and within the family sphere. This research discusses how the imbalance between work life and personal life, especially work-life conflict, influences work stress levels in career women. This research involved 200 women who had worked for at least 6 months. Using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) data analysis method with the help of the SmartPLS application, this research discusses the influence of Work-Life Conflict (WLC) on women's work stress levels. The findings highlight the importance of conflict management between work and personal life, with implications for organizational policies in supporting such balance. Although Perceived Social Support (PSS) was not proven to be a significant mediator, this research contributes to the understanding of the complexity of the dynamics between these variables, providing a basis for further research and practical implementation. These findings also emphasize the important role of leadership in creating an organizational culture that supports work-life balance.

Abstract

In the era of industrial and digital transformation, organizations are required to remain adaptive and innovative to maintain competitiveness. The banking sector, including regional institutions such as Bank Nagari, faces increasing customer demands and service-related complaints, necessitating stronger employee involvement in continuous improvement efforts. This study examines the influence of job autonomy, person–organization fit, and work engagement on employee voice behavior at the Main Branch Office (KCU) of Bank Nagari, located on Jalan Pemuda No. 21, Padang. The research was conducted in 2025 using a quantitative, cross-sectional design. Data were collected from 108 employees through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that person–organization fit has a significant positive effect on employee voice behavior (Coef = 0.21; p = 0.000), whereas job autonomy (Coef = 0.06; p = 0.455) and work engagement (Coef = –0.007; p = 0.879) show no significant influence. These findings suggest that value alignment between individuals and the organization is more essential in fostering employee voice than structural or motivational aspects. Practically, the study highlights the importance of creating an open organizational climate, strengthening recruitment based on value congruence, internalizing organizational culture, and promoting leadership that encourages employee expression to enhance innovation and organizational development within the banking sector.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of transformational leadership on innovative work behavior in higher education institutions, examining the mediating roles of knowledge sharing and motivation to learn. Data were collected from 150 full-time lecturers in public and private universities in Padang, Indonesia. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed to analyze both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The findings reveal that transformational leadership positively influences innovative work behavior directly and indirectly through knowledge sharing, confirming a partial mediation effect. However, motivation to learn does not significantly mediate this relationship, indicating its intrinsically driven nature. The study confirms the importance of leadership style and collaborative culture in fostering innovation among academic staff. Theoretically, the research enriches the understanding of psychological and social mechanisms linking leadership to innovation, particularly in the unique context of higher education. Practically, it offers insights for university leaders to cultivate a supportive environment that encourages knowledge sharing and intrinsic learning motivation, which are essential for sustaining innovation in academic settings.
