Abstract

Data from the International Labour Organization (ILO) reveals that more than 2.3 million deaths due to work-related accidents and diseases occur each year worldwide. Additionally, there are approximately 374 million cases of non-fatal work-related accidents that directly impact labor productivity and company operations. Human error is identified as the dominant cause of workplace accidents in many industries, as reported by the National Occupational Safety and Health Agency of Indonesia (BKKBNI) in 2023, where 60% of accidents were caused by unsafe worker behavior. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach aimed at describing and analyzing the relationship between the level of competence in the implementation of occupational health and safety (K3) and the working conditions of workers at PT Elnusa Tbk. This approach allows the researcher to perform numerical measurements of the variables studied and systematically and objectively interpret the data (Sugiyono, 2021). The research is planned to be conducted over six months, from February to July 2025. The sample size for this study consists of 30 workers. Based on the research results, 24 individuals (80.0%) exhibited non-risky behavior, while 6 individuals (20.0%) displayed risky behavior. Bivariate analysis indicated a statistically significant relationship between knowledge of risks, procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and workers’ risky behavior. The company is advised to continue strengthening its occupational safety education programs on a regular basis. Comprehensive and practical training should be provided, especially to workers with low levels of knowledge. Special thanks to the research location and IKes Payung Negeri for providing the opportunity for the researcher to conduct this study.

Abstract

Early health detection is an important strategy in preventing disease risks in the community. Through routine health checks, disease risk factors can be identified early so that preventive interventions can be carried out appropriately. However, the utilization of early health detection services at the community level, especially in rural areas, is still not optimal. This study aims to describe early health detection as an effort to prevent disease risks in the community of Hamlet 1, Baru Village, Kampar Regency. This study is a descriptive study with a survey approach. The subjects were 312 heads of families domiciled in Hamlet 1, Baru Village, Kampar Regency. Data were collected through family data collection using a health platform that includes routine health check behavior for non-communicable diseases, early detection of cervical cancer, smoking behavior in the home, and infant immunization coverage by age group. Most families have not undergone routine health checks at least every 6 months, specifically abdominal circumference examinations (80.45%), early detection of cervical cancer (92.63%), blood sugar (59.62%), and cholesterol (58.97%). In addition, 43.27% of family members smoke in the home. Infant immunization coverage shows disparities across almost all age groups, particularly for follow-up immunizations such as PCV, Rotavirus, Influenza, MR, JE, Varicella, and Hepatitis A. The persistently low early detection of NCDs and suboptimal infant immunization coverage highlight the need to strengthen health education, increase access to services, and strengthen the role of families and health workers at the community level.

Abstract

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (PHBS) in early childhood need to be habituated through developmentally appropriate learning strategies so they become part of daily school routines. This article aims to describe the effectiveness of introducing PHBS through interactive education to foster a healthy school culture among children at TK AN Namiroh. The program applied a participatory educational approach through interactive counseling, demonstration, and hands-on practice simulations. The participants were 22 children in one class. Implementation consisted of one day of interactive education, followed by one day of classroom habituation led by the homeroom teacher, and a direct evaluation using an observation checklist of PHBS behaviors. The observation results indicated that 20 children reached the “able and understand” category in applying the trained PHBS behaviors, while 2 children were still adjusting and required additional reinforcement for step consistency and independence. These findings suggest that interactive education combined with short-term habituation and performance-based assessment can establish observable PHBS practices in the classroom and provide a practical basis for positioning PHBS as a measurable routine within a healthy school culture.

Abstract

The postpartum period is a crucial phase for mothers to recover after childbirth. One of the common problems is perineal wounds, caused either by episiotomy or spontaneous rupture, which require proper care to prevent infection and accelerate healing. This case study aimed to provide midwifery care for Mrs. M, 28 years old, P3A0H3, with a second-degree perineal wound at PMB Bd. Silvi Ayu, S.Keb. The SOAP approach was applied through assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation over five days (June 12–16, 2025). Interventions included education on perineal hygiene, encouragement of nutritious food intake, light mobilization, and perineal wound care using boiled binahong leaves. The results showed decreased pain, reduced edema, a dry wound, and complete healing on the fifth day, with the REEDA score decreasing from 11 to 0. The discussion emphasized that flavonoids, saponins, and ascorbic acid in binahong leaves contribute to tissue regeneration and faster healing. Limitations of this study included the short monitoring period, limited sample, and reliance on maternal compliance. In conclusion, binahong leaf decoction was found to be effective, practical, and able to enhance maternal independence in wound care. This study is expected to serve as a reference for midwifery practice and as a basis for further research with a wider scope.
