Abstract

This study uses a case study method with a qualitative approach. The objectives are to (1) describe the forms and meanings of hate speech by netizens in the comment sections of Kaesang Pangarep and Erina Gudono’s Instagram accounts in 2024, and (2) analyze the language units of hate speech in relation to legal provisions based on the Criminal Code (KUHP) and the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (UU ITE). The data sources are comments on the Instagram accounts of Kaesang and Erina that contain hate speech, as well as books, journals, and relevant studies to support the analysis. Data collection instruments include documentation through screen capture, literature review, reading, and note-taking. To ensure data validity, triangulation was used. This study examines linguistic features of hate speech in the Instagram comment sections of Kaesang Pangarep and Erina Gudono during August to October 2024 using a forensic linguistic approach. The analysis focuses on morphophonemic elements, syntactic units, lexical and grammatical meanings, and the context of utterances, offering a comprehensive linguistic perspective. The findings show that the forms of hate speech include insults, defamation, incitement, and the spread of false information. In terms of linguistic structure, the grammatical units found consist of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences. These elements reflect how hate speech is constructed and delivered in digital discourse. The results also demonstrate the relevance of forensic linguistic analysis in identifying potential legal violations related to language use in social media platforms.

Abstract

This study examines the difficulties elementary students encounter in comprehending traffic signs, a crucial component of road safety education. While essential, 70% of fourth graders face challenges in interpreting these signs, and traditional teaching methods prove ineffective in capturing their interest. The research investigates the efficacy of Educandy, an interactive game-based learning tool, in improving students' understanding of traffic regulations. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) framework with the ADDIE model, the study engaged 24 fourth-grade students from SDN Karet 01 Jakarta Selatan. Learning outcomes were measured using a pretest-posttest design, alongside student surveys to evaluate engagement and feedback. Results indicated significant progress, with average scores increasing from 74.79 (pretest) to 90.83 (posttest), and an N-Gain score of 63.74%, reflecting moderate effectiveness. Statistical analysis (paired t-test, p < 0.001) validated Educandy's positive influence. The findings suggest that interactive platforms like Educandy can enhance both learning performance and student motivation, though combining them with other instructional strategies is advisable for deeper understanding. This research underscores the value of digital solutions in advancing traffic sign education and promoting road safety awareness among young learners.

Abstract

Learning difficulties refer to an individual's inability or disturbances in the learning process or acquiring knowledge. Students experiencing learning difficulties certainly have underlying factors or reasons why they find it challenging to learn. This study aims to analyze and explain the factors contributing to students' learning difficulties in the IPAS subject for third-grade students at SD Negeri Cipinang Cempedak 07. The causes of learning difficulties among third-grade students at SD Negeri Cipinang Cempedak 07 include Social, Intellectual, and Educational Factors. The subjects of this research are third-grade students at SD Negeri Cipinang Cempedak 07. The method used is qualitative research. The results and discussion of this study indicate that the dominant factor influencing difficulties in IPAS learning in third grade at SD Negeri Cipinang Cempedak 07 is the social factor, where the learning environment at school and parental support at home significantly affect students' learning processes and outcomes. Approximately 41% of students lack focus and do not pay attention to the teacher when teaching because of an unconducive classroom atmosphere, which leads to difficulties in learning and understanding the material. Additionally, intellectual factors such as difficulty recalling previous lessons and educational factors like inadequate school facilities also need to be considered by the school, teachers, and parents as support for students in the IPAS learning process in elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to address issues related to the teaching of Indonesian language, specifically in the subject of “Writing Narrative Essays” for fourth-grade students. The problem arises due to several factors, including the teacher relying solely on LKS (student worksheets) and textbooks as the only learning tools. This has led to a lack of student interest and boredom during Indonesian language lessons. Assessment results show that 49% of students did not reach the minimum mastery criteria (KKTP). Therefore, students need appropriate learning media. This research employs a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. There are two variables in this study: variable "X" (Animated Film Media) and variable "Y" (Narrative Essay Writing Skills). The study began with an instrument validation process, in which 10 questions were initially prepared and 5 were selected for trial testing. The trial results indicated that all five questions were valid, highly reliable, and considered.

Abstract

The issue of low literacy skills among early childhood learners remains a critical concern in preschool education, particularly in recognizing letters, reading, and basic writing. Preliminary observations at TK Yunico, Jambi City, revealed that most children in group B1 had not yet achieved the expected literacy development indicators. This study aims to improve early childhood literacy skills through the use of a modified educational snakes and ladders game. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 18 children aged 5–6 years from group B1, selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using observation, interviews, and documentation, with the main instrument being an observation sheet aligned with the literacy indicators in the Indonesian Ministry of Education Regulation No. 137 of 2014. The findings showed a significant improvement from the pre-action stage (30.6%) to the end of Cycle I (67.9%), and further to 86.7% by the end of Cycle II. These results demonstrate that the snakes and ladders game can serve as an enjoyable and effective alternative learning medium to enhance early literacy. The game successfully stimulated children's active participation, motivation, and engagement in foundational literacy activities.

Abstract

Color recognition is a crucial aspect of cognitive development in early childhood, contributing to logical thinking, creativity, and visual classification. However, initial observations at PAUD Permata Bunda Muaro Jambi revealed that children aged 3–4 years demonstrated low color recognition skills, which were suspected to result from monotonous and non-exploratory learning methods. This study aims to examine the effect of using coconut pulp media on improving color recognition skills in early childhood. This research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 13 children aged 3–4 years, selected through total sampling. The research instrument was an observation sheet based on indicators of primary and secondary color recognition. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-test assisted by SPSS software. The results showed an increase in the average score from 16.92 (pretest) to 27.69 (posttest). The t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant effect of using coconut pulp media on children's color recognition skills. This media provided a multisensory, enjoyable, and contextual learning experience aligned with the developmental characteristics of early childhood. This study provides practical contributions for educators in designing learning activities based on natural materials and serves as a foundation for further research on other developmental aspects in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between school organizational climate and teachers’ work motivation at the junior secondary school level. Organizational climate refers to teachers' collective perceptions of the school work environment, while work motivation relates to internal and external factors that influence teachers' enthusiasm and performance in carrying out teaching duties. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a correlational type. Data collection was carried out using a closed-ended questionnaire based on a Likert scale. The sample consisted of 17 teachers from SMP AL-ISHLAH in Tasikmalaya Regency. Data analysis was conducted using the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test and Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results showed a very strong and significant relationship between the school’s organizational climate and teachers’ work motivation. The correlation coefficient obtained was r = 0.944 with a significance value of p = 0.0047. This finding indicates that the more positive the school organizational climate perceived by teachers, the higher their work motivation. This research highlights the importance of creating a supportive and motivating work environment in school management.

Abstract

This study aimed to (1) determine the difference in students’ learning outcomes between those taught using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by digital comic strip media and those taught using conventional methods, (2) assess the improvement in learning outcomes in each class, and (3) evaluate the effectiveness of the PBL model assisted by digital comic strip media in achieving learning mastery in Civic Education. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 36 fourth-grade students from two elementary schools, selected using cluster random sampling. Data were collected using multiple-choice tests (pretest and posttest), observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity), an independent sample t-Test, N-Gain analysis, and a Z-test to measure learning mastery effectiveness. The results showed a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes, with the experimental class achieving higher posttest scores. The N-Gain results indicated a “less effective” improvement in the experimental class and an “ineffective” category in the control class. Furthermore, the proportion of students achieving mastery in the experimental was not statistically significant based on the Z-test. It is concluded that the PBL model assisted by digital comic strip media has a positive impact on improving students’ learning outcomes, although its effectiveness in achieving statistical mastery is not yet optimal.
