Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

Bahasa Indonesia Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan awal literasi matematis siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Percut Sei Tuan pada materi SPLDV. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan instrumen tes berdasarkan indikator merumuskan, menerapkan, dan menafsirkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kemampuan literasi matematis sebesar 60,833% (kategori rendah). Indikator merumuskan berada pada kategori sedang (69%), menerapkan rendah (62,5%), dan menafsirkan sangat rendah (51%). Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual untuk meningkatkan literasi matematis siswa. Kata kunci: analisis, literasi matematis

Produk viral di media sosial semakin memengaruhi perilaku konsumsi generasi Z, termasuk tren blind box yang menawarkan unsur kejutan dan eksklusivitas. Tingginya paparan konten viral membuat generasi Z lebih rentan mengalami fear of missing out (FoMO), yang dapat memicu pembelian impulsif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara fear of missing out (FoMO) dan perilaku pembelian impulsif terhadap produk blind box yang viral di media sosial pada generasi Z. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sebanyak 240 partisipan generasi Z berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOS) dan Impulsive Buying Tendency Scale (IBTS). Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal, sehingga analisis dilanjutkan dengan uji korelasi pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara FoMO dan perilaku pembelian impulsif, yang berarti semakin tinggi tingkat FoMO seseorang, semakin besar kecenderungan mereka untuk melakukan pembelian secara impulsif terhadap produk blind box. Temuan ini menguatkan bahwa FoMO berperan penting dalam memengaruhi perilaku konsumtif generasi Z pada produk viral.

Education plays a crucial role in shaping a quality generation. However, observations conducted by the researcher on July 15, 2024, revealed that students’ learning outcomes in the Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subject were relatively low. The Recapitulation of Grade V IPAS Scores over the Past Three Years indicates that many students have not met the established Learning Achievement Criteria (KKTP) of 70. This condition suggests that students’ understanding of IPAS material remains suboptimal. This study employs the theory of basic education as the primary foundation for efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. The research aims to analyze the effect of Project-Based Learning (PBL) assisted by Canva media and digital literacy on the learning outcomes of Grade V students in the IPAS subject. The study adopts a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population consists of all Grade V students in Cluster II of Lubuk Basung District, with two classes selected purposively as samples. Data collection techniques include achievement tests, digital literacy questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Data were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA test with the aid of SPSS 16.0 software. The results show that the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Canva is more effective in improving IPAS learning outcomes compared to conventional teaching methods. There is a significant influence of PBL assisted by Canva on students’ IPAS learning outcomes, a significant effect of digital literacy on IPAS achievement, and a significant interaction between PBL assisted by Canva and digital literacy in influencing IPAS learning outcomes. This study is limited to examining the effectiveness of PBL assisted by Canva and digital literacy in IPAS learning; however, these two factors may also be applicable to other subjects. Therefore, future research is encouraged to explore the effectiveness of this method across different learning areas.

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly influenced mathematics learning in elementary schools. This study aims to describe the integration of digital media and educational games in teaching whole numbers to fifth-grade students. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research was conducted at SD Negeri Kedungsari in November 2025 with 17 participants. Data were collected through participatory observation, documentation, and teacher reflection notes, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The integration process involved four stages: planning, implementation, collaboration, and evaluation. Digital applications such as Quizizz, Wordwall, and Math Games were combined with contextual educational games, including place-value pocket activities. Findings revealed that 88% of students showed positive responses to digital media, while 82% benefited from educational games. The results of student understanding were very positive, the results of the T test showed that the Sig. value was 0.176 (> 0.05) which means there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest (before and after using digital media and educational games). The results demonstrate that combining digital media and educational games enhances motivation, collaboration, and numeracy skills. This study highlights the importance of innovative, technology-based approaches to strengthen foundational mathematics learning in Indonesian elementary schools.

This study aims to analyze the forms of moderate Islamic education practices and their implications for the formation of students' religious character at SMP PSM Tanen Rejotangan Tulungagung. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results showed that moderate Islamic education practices are implemented through habituation of worship such as congregational Dhuha and Dhuhur prayers, Friday Legi recitation, teacher role models, and life-story-based learning to instill the values of tolerance and non-judgmental attitudes towards differences. Supporting factors for religious character formation include a religious school culture, teacher support, and a conducive social environment, while the main obstacles come from students' low understanding of the concept of moderation and the influence of digital technology. The implications of implementing moderate Islamic education are seen in increased religious discipline, growing attitudes of tolerance, the formation of positive social behavior, and strengthening students' religious identity. Thus, moderate Islamic education has proven to be an effective approach in forming a religious character that is inclusive, balanced, and adaptive to diversity.

Reading poetry is an activity of reading literary works that requires expressive skills such as intonation, articulation, facial expression, and body movement to convey its meaning accurately. However, elementary school students often read poetry mechanically, which diminishes artistic expression and emotional engagement. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive study design to analyze the expressive reading abilities of third-grade students at Muhammadiyah 4 Batu Elementary School. Interviews, observations, and teacher documentation were used to collect data. The results show that students experienced improvement in expressive poetry reading. Teachers implemented strategies to enhance students’ ability to read poetry effectively, including structured learning activities that supported students in expressing themselves and provided reading models.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of group guidance using literacy card media in increasing students' reading interest at Sanggar Belajar Pandan. Low reading interest poses a serious challenge in Indonesian education, with UNESCO data showing a reading index of only 0.001. This research employed a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design involving 8 fifth-grade students. The research instrument was a validated reading interest questionnaire based on Burs and Lowe indicators in Prasetyono (2008). Data were analyzed using the Paired t-test to examine the mean score differences before and after intervention. Results showed a significant increase in students' reading interest after participating in group guidance with literacy card media. The mean pretest score of 65.2 increased to 78.5 in the posttest (p-value < 0.05). Literacy card media proved effective in creating an enjoyable and interactive learning atmosphere, encouraging students to be more active in literacy activities. This study provides practical contributions to developing literacy learning strategies in non-formal educational institutions.

This research aims to examine the scope and foundation of the source of Islamic educational philosophy by exploring the ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions, as well as practical aspects that include educational goals, the role of educators and students, curriculum, methods, and educational environment. This research shows that Islamic philosophy of education has a strategic role as a conceptual framework that directs educational goals, as well as as a normative guideline that affirms the position of revelation as the center of value orientation. The findings of this study confirm that the Qur'an and Hadith are the primary foundations that provide a normative basis for the entire educational process, while ijma', qiyas, scholarly thought, and human intellect and experience serve as secondary sources that allow Islamic education to develop adaptively following social dynamics. The integration of these two sources makes the philosophy of Islamic education comprehensive, flexible, and relevant in responding to contemporary educational challenges, so a deep understanding of the scope and philosophical foundations of this is necessary to strengthen the direction of development of Islamic education and ensure that educational practices remain in harmony with the fundamental values of Islam. In order to explore this philosophical construction, this study uses a qualitative approach with the literature review method; Data were obtained from relevant primary and secondary literature and analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify core concepts and their relevance to the development of Islamic education.

The early reading skills of second-grade students at SDN Cukanggalih 1, Tangerang Regency, are still relatively low, as indicated by difficulties in recognizing letters, reading simple words, and connecting sounds with written text. This situation demands engaging learning media that are appropriate to the characteristics of elementary school students, one of which is flashcards. This study aims to describe the use of flashcards in early reading instruction at second-grade students at SDN Cukanggalih 1. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach, with the second-grade teacher and one student as subjects. Data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the use of flashcards helped students recognize letters, string together syllables, read simple words, and connect sounds with written text. This media also increased students' motivation, concentration, and memory in reading. Teachers considered flashcards effective because they suited the characteristics of elementary school students who enjoy visuals and games.

The low reading interest and text comprehension skills of students at SDN Karangtengah 1 Ngawi indicate the need for innovation in Indonesian language learning. This condition is caused by the limited variety of learning media used and the lack of consistent literacy practices. This study aims to explain the implementation of interactive media and the One Day One Book (ODOB) program as strategies to improve students’ reading interest and text comprehension. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and field notes. Interactive media were used to create more engaging learning and encourage active student participation, while the ODOB program was implemented as a daily literacy activity to build reading habits. The results show that the use of interactive media and the ODOB program can enhance students’ learning motivation, engagement, reading interest, and text comprehension. These findings indicate that both strategies are effective in fostering a literacy culture at SDN Karangtengah 1 Ngawi.
