Abstract

This study was conducted to address the low level of students’ conceptual understanding and science literacy in learning the Solar System at SDN 1 Brumbung. The research aimed to examine the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by interactive digital media Educaplay and to analyze its effect on improving students’ conceptual understanding and science literacy. This study employed a mixed-method approach with a sequential explanatory design. The participants were 19 sixth-grade students. Quantitative data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments measuring conceptual understanding and science literacy, while qualitative data were obtained through classroom observations and field notes. Quantitative data were analyzed using regression analysis, and qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that the implementation of Discovery Learning assisted by Educaplay was carried out effectively and significantly improved students’ conceptual understanding and science literacy. In addition, students demonstrated higher engagement and active participation during the learning process. These findings indicate that integrating Discovery Learning with interactive digital media can provide meaningful learning experiences and enhance students’ higher-order thinking skills in elementary science education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan menulis teks puisi siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Lembah Gumanti yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya minat, keterbatasan kosakata, serta penggunaan model pembelajaran yang belum variatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model concept sentence dalam pembelajaran menulis teks puisi, meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian berupa proses pembelajaran yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dengan sumber data guru bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model concept sentence mampu meningkatkan keaktifan dan kreativitas siswa dalam menulis puisi. Pada tahap perencanaan, guru telah menyusun perangkat pembelajaran sesuai dengan sintaks model concept sentence. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, pembelajaran berlangsung secara interaktif melalui kerja kelompok dengan bantuan kata kunci yang memudahkan siswa mengembangkan ide menjadi larik dan bait puisi. Pada tahap penilaian, hasil karya siswa menunjukkan peningkatan pada aspek diksi, citraan, gaya bahasa, dan penggunaan kata konkret. Selain itu, siswa lebih termotivasi dan antusias dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, penerapan model concept sentence terbukti efektif dalam membantu siswa mengatasi kesulitan menulis puisi serta meningkatkan kualitas hasil tulisan mereka. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh sertifikasi halal dan penggunaan digital payment QRIS terhadap kinerja keuangan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kota Cilegon dengan literasi keuangan syariah sebagai variabel moderasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 pelaku UMKM di Kota Cilegon yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data primer diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada responden dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) dengan bantuan SmartPLS 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sertifikasi halal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan UMKM. Penggunaan digital payment QRIS juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan UMKM. Namun, literasi keuangan syariah tidak mampu memoderasi pengaruh sertifikasi halal terhadap kinerja keuangan UMKM. Selain itu, literasi keuangan syariah juga tidak mampu memoderasi pengaruh penggunaan QRIS terhadap kinerja keuangan UMKM. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan daya saing UMKM dapat dilakukan melalui legalitas halal produk dan digitalisasi sistem pembayaran. Namun demikian, peningkatan literasi keuangan syariah masih memerlukan penguatan agar mampu memberikan dampak optimal terhadap peningkatan kinerja UMKM.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze speech acts in the dialogue of the film Komang directed by Naya Anindita using a pragmatic approach, particularly J.L. Austin’s theory. The focus includes three types of speech acts: locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary acts. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation and documentation of the film’s dialogues.The results show that the film contains various speech acts reflecting language use in social interaction. Locutionary acts convey information, illocutionary acts express intentions such as requesting and expressing feelings, and perlocutionary acts produce effects on the hearer. These speech acts contribute to the development of the storyline, characterization, and relationships between characters.Thus, language in the film functions not only as communication but also as social action with meaning and impact.

Abstract

This study developed instructional materials for observation report texts (LHO) incorporating local wisdom for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Dolok Silau. Using the 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) research and development (R&D) model, this study focused on needs analysis, material design, and product development. The analysis results indicate that students struggle to understand and compose LHO, and existing teaching materials lack contextual relevance and have not integrated local wisdom. Teachers also require teaching materials relevant to students’ lives. The developed product consists of printed teaching materials with content and visuals that integrate local wisdom, such as the marharoan bolon tradition and annual work cycles from North Sumatra. This material was rated “very good” by subject matter experts (95% and 94%) and teachers (90%), indicating its suitability for use in instruction. This development contributes to improving students’ understanding and skills in writing LHO, while fostering character and a love for local culture.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 091281 Batu IV, who have not yet achieved the KKTP (Qualification Level) of 70, due to conventional learning and a lack of innovative media. This study aimed to determine the effect of using Canva on mathematics learning outcomes for fractions in the 2025/2026 academic year. Using a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design, the study sample included all 26 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through multiple-choice tests and analyzed using t-tests and N-Gain. The results showed an increase in the average score from 52 (pretest) to 90.30 (posttest). The N-Gain test of 0.75 indicated a high level of effectiveness. The results of the paired-sample t-test obtained a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after the treatment. It was concluded that the use of Canva significantly improved the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 091281 Batu IV. Abstract

The drill method is a learning approach that emphasizes continuous practice to build habits, improve accuracy, and develop specific skills. Conventional teaching methods often contribute to low student learning outcomes in mathematics, particularly in multiplication topics. Preliminary data from St. Yoseph 3 Catholic Elementary School showed that out of 32 third-grade students, 12 students (37.5%) achieved the minimum mastery criterion (75), while 20 students (62.5%) had not yet achieved it. This study aimed to determine the effect of the drill learning method on the learning outcomes of third-grade students at St. Yoseph 3 Catholic Elementary School. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a pretest-posttest control group design. A saturated sampling technique was applied involving 32 respondents. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using an independent t-test. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental and control classes was 85.31 > 75.00 with a difference of 10.31, while the average pretest score was 50.00 < 50.94. It can be concluded that students taught using the drill method achieved higher learning outcomes compared to those who were not, particularly in multiplication material.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has brought significant changes, but has also given rise to ethical dilemmas for the teaching profession, particularly regarding academic honesty and educator integrity. This study aims to analyze the forms of ethical dilemmas faced by teachers in the digital era, examine the impact of AI use on academic honesty, and identify strategies that can be implemented to maintain professional integrity in an adaptive and responsible manner. The method used is a qualitative approach with a literature study, through an analysis of various scientific journals and relevant sources from the past five years related to educational ethics and the use of AI. The results show that the use of AI has the potential to increase learning efficiency, but also triggers the risk of plagiarism, cognitive dependency, and a decline in students' critical thinking skills. Furthermore, a gap in digital ethics literacy among teachers was found, resulting in weak oversight and enforcement of academic integrity. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen AI ethics literacy, improve teachers' professional competence, and develop adaptive education policies to ensure that technology is used wisely without neglecting the values of academic honesty and responsibility.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation strategy of the Lafdzi method in guiding the memorization of short surahs of Juz 30 for Group B children at RA Nurul Qur’an. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the Lafdzi method, implemented through listening, collective repetition, individual repetition, and daily habituation, accelerates the memorization process. Before the implementation of the method, children required approximately 4–5 days to memorize one short surah. After consistent implementation, the memorization period decreased to 2–3 days per surah. In addition, improvements were observed in pronunciation fluency, reduction of recitation errors, and increased self-confidence during memorization submission. These findings suggest that the Lafdzi method is effective for early childhood Qur’anic memorization learning as it aligns with children’s language and memory development characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the TikTok algorithm in shaping Generation Z’s da’wah preferences through content analysis of the @kadamsidik00 account. The development of algorithm-based social media has transformed information distribution, including Islamic preaching practices in digital spaces. This research employs a qualitative approach using content analysis of 20 selected videos based on the highest engagement levels during January–March 2025. The findings indicate that the TikTok algorithm prioritizes the distribution of content characterized by brevity, visual appeal, and communicative delivery, which aligns with Generation Z’s preferences. Content presented in a casual and relatable manner tends to generate higher engagement, increasing its likelihood of being recommended by the algorithm. These results suggest that the algorithm functions not only as a distribution mechanism but also as a factor shaping audience consumption patterns and da’wah preferences. This study contributes to the development of digital Islamic communication studies by positioning algorithms as key actors in shaping da’wah preferences and providing insights into the implications of social media use in contemporary Islamic preaching.
