Abstract

Evaluasi pembelajaran merupakan komponen fundamental yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari proses pendidikan, termasuk dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD). Dalam konteks implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dan penguatan pendekatan saintifik, evaluasi tidak lagi dipandang semata-mata sebagai instrumen pengukuran hasil belajar akhir, melainkan sebagai bagian integral dari proses pembelajaran yang bersifat komprehensif, berkelanjutan, dan autentik. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam konsep evaluasi pembelajaran IPS di SD yang diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan saintifik, meliputi tujuan, fungsi, prinsip-prinsip dasar, serta bentuk-bentuk penerapannya dalam praktik pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur sistematis terhadap berbagai sumber ilmiah, regulasi pendidikan, dan penelitian empiris yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi dalam pembelajaran IPS dengan pendekatan saintifik menuntut pergeseran paradigma dari penilaian konvensional menuju penilaian autentik yang mampu mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis, keterampilan sosial, dan literasi ilmu pengetahuan sosial peserta didik secara holistik. Implikasi dari kajian ini memberikan arahan bagi guru SD untuk merancang sistem evaluasi yang selaras dengan tahapan saintifik mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, mengasosiasi, dan mengomunikasikan sehingga penilaian benar-benar mencerminkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar yang bermakna. Artikel ini diharapkan berkontribusi dalam memperkuat fondasi teoritis dan praktis bagi pengembangan evaluasi pembelajaran IPS yang lebih inovatif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan pendidikan abad ke-21.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of tutors’ classroom management skills on the learning motivation of Package C learners at PKBM Pelangi, Ambon City. The research employed a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto design. The population and sample consisted of 45 Package C learners selected through total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires with a Likert scale and analyzed using simple linear regression with SPSS 20. The results showed a positive and significant influence of tutors’ classroom management skills on learning motivation, with a t-count of 3.162 and significance value of 0.003 (<0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.798, indicating that 79.8% of the variance in learning motivation can be explained by tutors’ classroom management skills. This study recommends that tutors continuously improve their classroom management competencies to enhance learners’ motivation in non-formal education settings.

Abstract

The problem in this study emerged when the researcher carried out the Independent MBKM FKIP Teaching Program. At that time, the physical education teachers at SMP Negeri 6 Karawang Barat conducted swimming learning activities. After the students completed the learning session, during the evaluation and question-and-answer session, the students still did not understand swimming techniques. Therefore, the researcher chose the title “The Effect of Audiovisual Media on Students’ Knowledge Levels in Swimming Learning at SMPN 6 Karawang Barat.” This study aims to determine the effect of audiovisual media on students’ knowledge levels in swimming learning at SMPN 6 Karawang Barat.This study used an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results of this study showed that there was an effect of using audiovisual media on students’ knowledge levels in swimming learning at SMPN 6 Karawang Barat. These results were indicated by the hypothesis test results with a significance value of 0.000. Since the result of 0.000 is less than 0.005, it can be concluded that the use of audiovisual media has a significant effect on students’ knowledge levels in swimming learning at SMPN 6 Karawang Barat.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning models in the digital era at SDN Pasirjaya Tasikmalaya. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving PAI teachers, students, and the school principal. The findings reveal that PAI learning at SDN Pasirjaya has integrated digital platforms such as Google Classroom, Zoom, and interactive learning applications into instructional practice. Teachers serve not only as content deliverers but also as learning experience designers who craft adaptive, authentic, and meaningful learning encounters. The integration of Aswaja values within digital media usage ensures that learning remains grounded in moderate Islamic tradition. Three key models are identified: collaborative discussion, project-based learning (PjBL), and outcome-based education (OBE). Challenges include limited infrastructure, variable teacher digital competency, and inconsistent student motivation. The study proposes a framework for Islamic digital literacy as a new competency within PAI that encompasses academic, digital, and spiritual dimensions. These findings contribute a novel model for PAI learning in elementary schools in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to describe mentoring strategies in the learning process of students at SD Negeri Morkepek, particularly for those who experience slow learning. The mentoring strategies implemented include providing additional exercises, using learning methods tailored to students’ needs, involving peer support, and providing continuous motivation. The results of the study indicate that these strategies have a positive impact not only on improving academic abilities but also on the emotional and social development of students. The observed impacts include increased self-confidence, improved learning focus, the development of the ability to understand learning materials, increased participation in learning activities, and the maintenance of good social interactions among students. Therefore, appropriate mentoring strategies can help students optimize their potential and create a more comfortable and inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop narrative writing teaching materials based on the Brainwriting model and comic media for fourth grade elementary school students using the Plomp development model. The development process consisted of three stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The preliminary research stage was conducted through needs analysis, curriculum analysis, and student characteristic analysis. The prototyping phase included designing, developing, validating, and revising the teaching materials through formative evaluation. The assessment phase was carried out to determine the practicality and effectiveness of the developed teaching materials. The research subjects consisted of fourth grade elementary school students and teachers in Padang City. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the teaching materials developed were categorized as valid based on expert validation, practical based on teacher and student responses, and effective in improving students’ narrative writing skills. Therefore, the teaching materials based on the Brainwriting model and comic media are suitable for use in learning narrative writing in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using an Augmented Reality-based educational game on the listening skills of third-grade students at SDN 255 Paranglohe, Bulukumba Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method through a One Group Pretest–Posttest design. The subjects were 10 third-grade students. Data collection used a story listening test administered before and after the application of Augmented Reality media in the learning process. The results showed that students' listening skills improved after using the media. The average score for students in the pretest was 55.00, increasing to 84.00 in the posttest. These results indicate that the use of an Augmented Reality-based educational game significantly improved students' listening skills. The use of this technology helps students focus better and visualize the story content more easily through direct interaction with digital objects. Therefore, Augmented Reality-based educational games can be used as an effective alternative learning medium to improve elementary school students' listening skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Wordwall educational game on the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 78 Balang. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method through a One Group Pretest–Posttest design. The subjects of this study were 37 fifth-grade students. The data collection technique used a learning outcome test administered before and after the use of the Wordwall educational game in the learning process. The results showed that student learning outcomes improved after the use of the Wordwall educational game. The use of interactive game-based learning media can increase student motivation, engagement, and understanding of science material. Therefore, the Wordwall educational game media can be used as an effective alternative learning medium to improve elementary school student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The twenty-first-century educational landscape demands holistic competencies, yet the implementation of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) approach in early childhood and primary education in Indonesia remains fragmented, frequently reduced to isolated activities lacking meaningful interdisciplinary integration. This study systematically explores the conceptual foundations, implementation patterns, pedagogical benefits, and systemic challenges of STEAM across both educational levels. Employing a systematic literature review methodology, 42 peer-reviewed articles, conceptual papers, and policy reports published between 2015 and 2025 were analyzed through thematic synthesis and content analysis. Data were retrieved from Scopus, ERIC, Google Scholar, SINTA, and DOAJ using predefined inclusion criteria. Results indicate that STEAM significantly enhances critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and socio-emotional resilience when delivered through play-based, inquiry-driven, and project-oriented learning aligned with developmental stages. However, implementation is hindered by teachers’ limited interdisciplinary pedagogical competence, rigid curricular structures, inadequate learning resources, and product-focused assessment paradigms. Effective integration necessitates sustained teacher professional development, flexible curriculum alignment with Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum, culturally responsive adaptations, and authentic assessment frameworks. These findings provide evidence-based guidelines for educators, school leaders, and policymakers to optimize STEAM implementation and foster sustainable, child-centered educational transformation.

Abstract

The global environmental crisis demonstrates that purely technical and economic approaches have not been sufficient to address increasingly complex ecological damage. Environmental issues are not only related to the exploitation of natural resources but are also influenced by a moral and spiritual crisis in humanity’s perception of nature. This study aims to analyze the concept of rahmatan lil ‘alamin as the foundation of Islamic ecological ethics in addressing the modern environmental crisis. This study employs a qualitative method based on literature review, utilizing a thematic exegesis approach and interpretive analysis of Quranic verses, hadiths, classical and contemporary exegetical works, as well as literature on environmental ethics and sustainability. The results indicate that the concept of rahmatan lil ‘alamin embodies universal values that position humanity as stewards responsible for maintaining ecological balance, rather than as entities free to exploit the environment. The principles of amanah (trust), mizan (balance), tawazun (harmony), along with prohibitions against israf (wastefulness) and fasad (corruption), form the framework of Islamic ecological ethics that aligns with the principles of sustainability and intergenerational justice. This study also found that the modern environmental crisis is a consequence of an anthropocentric paradigm and consumptive behavior that disregards spiritual values and ethical considerations toward nature. Therefore, the revitalization of the concept of “rahmatan lil ‘alamin” is essential as an ecological paradigm that integrates spiritual, moral, social, and environmental dimensions in fostering sustainability awareness.
