Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the main obstacles in the Qur’anic memorization (tahfidz) learning process at the elementary school or Islamic elementary school level in Indonesia. The phenomenon explored concerns the gap between memorization targets and the actual effectiveness of tahfidz implementation at the primary education level. A qualitative approach based on library research with a phenomenological design was employed to explore the meanings and contextual challenges reflected in scholarly literature from 2020 to 2025. Data sources consisted of peer-reviewed journal articles, academic proceedings, and official government documents selected purposively. Data analysis followed a thematic method based on the interactive model by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings reveal two interrelated categories of obstacles: (1) internal factors, such as low student motivation, limited ability in recitation due to underdeveloped phonetic and cognitive skills, and weak short-term memory; and (2) external factors, including the lack of interactive digital media, an overloaded academic curriculum, insufficient teacher training, and minimal parental involvement. These findings indicate that the success of tahfidz learning does not solely depend on memorization techniques but requires an integrated support system involving education policies, teacher preparedness, and family engagement. This study contributes theoretically to the development of a tahfidz learning model grounded in psychological needs and educational technology, and offers practical implications for curriculum development, teacher training, and strategies to enhance family involvement. Future research is recommended to empirically explore students’ and teachers’ experiences through field-based qualitative methods.

Abstract

His study aims to develop learning media in the form of interactive number cards based on Android that are specifically designed to improve basic arithmetic skills in slow learner students. Slow learner students require a different learning approach, especially in terms of visualization and interactivity, in order to understand basic mathematical concepts more effectively. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The subjects of the trial consisted of slow learner students at the elementary school level of SDN Bulu 02, grade 3. The results of validation by material experts, media experts, and experts showed that the media developed were feasible and effective for use in learning. In addition, the evaluation results showed an increase in students' basic arithmetic skills after using this interactive media. Thus, this Android-based interactive number card media can be an innovative and enjoyable learning alternative for slow learner students in understanding basic arithmetic concepts.

Abstract

Understanding mathematical concepts is an important skill that students must have in learning mathematics. However, in reality, there are still many elementary school students who have difficulty in understanding mathematical concepts due to inappropriate learning approaches and unattractive media. Therefore, this study aims to determine the influence and improvement of students' understanding of mathematical concepts, one of which is by implementing the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model assisted by video animaker media. The method used in this study is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design and purposive sampling technique. This study compares two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Data collection was carried out through an initial test (pretest) and a final test (posttest), and was supported by observation and documentation. Based on the results of the study, the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model assisted by video animaker media is more effective in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts when compared to conventional learning. The Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model assisted by video animaker media has an influence of 45.5% in influencing the improvement of students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop interactive digital learning media based on the syllabic method to improve beginning reading skills among students with dyslexia. Initial observation at SDN Sogo 01, Balerejo, Madiun, revealed six students experiencing reading difficulties, such as confusing letters and struggling with syllable patterns (KV, KVK, VK, KKVK). Using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), the research produced “BEM (Belajar Membaca/Learn to Read),” an application featuring seven syllable-based learning levels, word-level audio, automatic evaluation, and teacher–parent guidance tools. Validation results indicated that the media was highly valid, with expert scores of 97.89% (media) and 90.83% (content). Teacher assessments rated it highly practical, scoring 92.67%. Student responses reflected ease of navigation, dyslexia-friendly visuals, and enjoyable multisensory syllable-based learning. Effectiveness testing via the Wilcoxon signed-rank test yielded Z = -2.201 and a significance value of 0.028 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant improvement in students’ beginning reading ability after using the media. In conclusion, the developed interactive digital learning media based on the syllabic method is valid, practical, and effective for supporting beginning reading instruction for students with dyslexia in elementary schools.

Abstract

Objective of this study was to increase students' interest in reading in class IVat SDN 01 Cimahi in Indonesian language subject by utilizing picture story media. The problem that became the focus was the lack of students' interest in reading. which has an impact on the low achievement of less than optimal learning outcomes. The type of method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a combination approach of qualitative and qualitative data. (PTK) with a combination approach of qualitative and quantitative data, which was conducted in two cycle stages in the even semester of the 2024/2025 school year. Subjects The research subjects consisted of 33 fourth grade students at SD Negeri Cimahi. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments used included student activity observation sheets, tests, interviews, and documentation. From the results of the research, there was a noticeable in students' interest in reading. In the pre-cycle, the average interest in reading interest was only 39,39% (less interest category), then increased to reach 54,55% in cycle I (moderate interest), and reached 81,82% in cycle II (interest category). From the research results from the results of this study, it can be concluded that picture stories are effective for foster students' interest in reading.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of digital literacy learning on critical thinking skills in students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Riau University. This research is motivated by the problems that occur in the campus environment, namely the low critical thinking skills of students in responding to digital information, making it difficult to distinguish valid and invalid information which causes students to be affected by hoax information. This research is a quantitative research with survey method. The population in this study consisted of the class of 2021 and the class of 2022, totaling 2,695 people. The sample size in this study was 96 students. The data collection instruments used were questionnaires and documentation. The data processing used IBM SPPS Version 24. This research analysis uses prerequisite tests, namely descriptive analysis, normality test, linearity test, F test, simple linear regression test and determination coefficient test. The results of the F test show that the value of Fhitung ≥ Ftabel or 113.57 ≥ 3.94 with a significant level of 0.00 which means less than 0.05, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that the digital literacy learning variable has a positive effect on the critical thinking ability variable in students. The coefficient of determination is obtained at 57.4 while the remaining 45.3 is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low understanding of science concepts in Indonesia. The aim is to find out the effect of guided inquiry model assisted by PhET Simulation on the understanding of science concepts and the increase in understanding of science concepts of students who get guided inquiry model assisted by PhET Simulation compared to students who get cooperative model learning. The method used is quantitative quasi-experiment type and Nonequivalent Control Group Design, with a sample of IV A and IV C classes totaling 25 students each. Data were collected through test and non-test instruments. Tests in the form of multiple choice questions developed based on indicators of exemplifying, classifying, explaining, concluding. Non-test in the form of documentation, analyzed using descriptive and inferential data analysis. The results of data analysis showed that there was an effect of 48.4% of the guided inquiry model assisted by PhET Simulation on understanding the science concepts of elementary school students. Then there was an increase of 0.67 for the class with guided inquiry model learning assisted by PhET Simulation. While an increase of 0.41 for classes with cooperative learning models. The conclusion is that: 1) Guided Inquiry Model assisted by PhET Simulation in learning science affects the understanding of the concept of elementary school students; 2) The increase in understanding of science concepts of elementary school students who get the guided inquiry model assisted by PhET Simulation is better than students who get a cooperative learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Discovery Learning model assisted by the Genially digital media on elementary school students’ critical thinking skills in Science and Social Science (IPAS) learning. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of 23 fourth-grade students from SDN 1 Tegalmunjul Purwakarta in both the experimental and control classes. The research instrument was a Pretest and Posttest essay designed to assess five critical thinking indicators based on Ennis’ theory. The results showed that students taught using the Discovery Learning model with Genially media showed a significant improvement in critical thinking skills compared to those taught using the Cooperative Learning model. Data analysis using T-Tests and N-Gain scores indicated moderate to high improvement. It is concluded that the Discovery Learning model with Genially media is effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills in IPAS learning.

Abstract

Development of Digital Teaching Materials Assisted by Heyzine flipbook on Exposition Text Material. This type of research is a Research and Development (R&D)development with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation)..This study aims to develop, test the feasibility and test the effectiveness of the product. This research was conducted at SDN Panaragan 1 Bogor City in class V-B with 30 students in the even semester of 2024/2025. This research conducted a needs Analysis by making observation instrument sheets, interviews, questionnaire assessments from material experts, linguists, media experts, teacher response questionnaires and student response questionnaires. The results showed that digital teaching materials assisted by heyzine flipbook based on the average validation assessment of material experts obtained a percentage of 96%, linguists at 98%, media experts at 94% which was included in the ‘very feasible’ category. The results of the student response questionnaire obtained 92% in the “very good” category and the average N-Gain score obtained 0.72 in the moderate category. Based on the above results, it shows that the development of digital teaching materials assisted by heyzine flipbook on exposition text material is declared “very feasible” and “very good” to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Curriculum changes in Indonesia, especially the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, are an innovative step in an effort to improve the quality of 21st century education. One of its implementations is through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) which is designed to shape students' character according to Pancasila values. This study was motivated by the importance of understanding how P5 is implemented at the Elementary School level, especially in grade III which has just implemented the Independent Curriculum in the 2024/2025 academic year at SDN Kebonsari Kulon 1, Probolinggo City. This study aims to examine in depth the implementation process of P5, which includes aspects of preparation, implementation, and assessment. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The main data sources come from grade III teachers and the principal as key informants. The main focus of this study is on P5 activities with the theme "Local Wisdom" and the topic "This is my Batik, Where is your Batik?" which emphasizes the introduction of local mango batik culture to students. The results of the study showed that the preparation process was carried out collaboratively through the preparation of modules, discussions between teachers, and student involvement in designing project activities. The implementation of activities was effective through the stages of introduction, practice, and work presentation, involving resource persons from local craftsmen and active student participation.
