Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

Communication skills are an important component in social studies learning in elementary schools. However, the reality shows that students' communication skills are still relatively low. One of the factors suspected to be the cause is the inappropriate selection of learning models to support the improvement of students' communication skills. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the Giving Question and Getting Answer type of cooperative learning model on improving students' communication skills in social studies learning in elementary schools. The study was conducted with a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group type. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely IVC and IVB, in one of the elementary schools in Purwakarta Regency, totaling 25 students in each class. The IVC class acts as an experimental group using the Giving Question and Getting Answer cooperative learning model, while IVB as a control group uses the Jigsaw cooperative model. Data collection techniques are carried out through tests (pre-test and post-test) and non-test techniques (observation). The results of data analysis show a significant influence of the Giving Question and Getting Answer cooperative model on improving elementary school students' communication skills compared to the Jigsaw model. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that this model be used as an alternative in social studies learning to create an interactive, participatory learning atmosphere and support the improvement of students' communication skills.

Indonesia is a country with a high level of natural disaster vulnerability, especially earthquakes. Pangandaran Regency as one of the earthquake prone areas requires effective mitigation education strategies for elementary school students, which are included in vulnerable groups. This study aims to examine the importance of disaster literacy in elementary school students through the integration of educational pocket books and disaster mitigation simulations. Research used a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach supported by field data from 36 students at SDN 2 Karangjaladri, Pangandaran Regency. The results of the study show that disaster literacy is not sufficient to be built through the delivery of theory, but it needs to be supported by communicative learning media and contextual experience. Pocket books provide ease of access to information, facilitate independent learning, and help strengthen the understanding of mitigation concepts in a concise and attractive manner. Meanwhile, mitigation simulation provides direct learning experiences through role-play that are able to instill skills to act quickly and precisely when disasters occur. The combination of the two forms an integrative and effective learning approach, in line with the principle of an independent curriculum that emphasizes active, contextual, and participatory learning. Thus, the integration of pocket books and mitigation simulations can be a significant strategy in increasing disaster literacy of elementary school students, as well as forming a culture of preparedness early on in disaster -prone areas.

Education is an integral process in developing the character, cognitive abilities, and physical aspects of students in harmony with their social and natural environment. As the main pillar in the development of quality and characterful human resources, education requires an effective and quality system. The level of progress of a nation's education is greatly influenced by the quality of educators, especially teachers, who have professional competence. In Indonesia, the low quality of teachers is still a major challenge and raises public doubts about the quality of national education. Therefore, improving the quality of teachers is an important agenda in efforts to reform education. Teachers as professional workers must facilitate themselves with a set of experiences, skills, and knowledge about teaching, in addition to having to master the substance of the science they are studying. However, in reality there are still many teachers who have not carried out their duties according to expectations. This paper aims,to examine the development of teacher competence, the challenges faced in the world of education, and strategies for improving the quality of teachers and education personnel. The discussion is carried out by referring to various related literature and policies, in order to show the relationship between teacher professionalism and improving the quality of education as a whole.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif dongeng bahasa Arab dengan Metode Discovery Learning dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab dengan dongeng bahasa Arab menggunakan Metode Discovery Learning diawali dengan merumuskan tujuan pembelajaran, dan diakhiri dengan pelaksanaan evaluasi pembelajaran. Sedangkan untuk hasil keefektifan pembelajaran dapat dikatakan efektif, terbukti dari uji analisis yang dilakukan peneliti berdasarkan tabel hasil uji-t diperoleh nilai sig sebesar 0,000 yang berarti lebih kecil dari 0,05. Dengan demikian terdapat perbedaan nilai hasil belajar bahasa Arab sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pembelajaran dongeng bahasa Arab menggunakan metode Discovery Learning yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai siswa yang signifikan. Rata-rata nilai pre-test sebesar 50,00 dan rata-rata nilai post-test sebesar 85,00.

Literacy is a very important activity to be implemented at an early age, especially in the scope of education, with literacy at the elementary school level being able to improve reading skills. This study analyzes the low literacy of reading books in grade 3 students which includes a discussion of the causes and factors that influence their literacy development. The ability to read, write and count students is closely related to the world of reading skills. The reading interest of students in grade 3 is still relatively low and can have a negative impact on the world of education. This study was conducted at SDN Mekarjaya 20, Depok City with the type of research used by researchers, namely Qualitative Research using a Descriptive approach, data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the basic literacy problems faced by grade 3 students and identify solutions to improve students' literacy skills. From this study, several facts can be obtained, namely low interest in literacy, limited reading books, and lack of support from families, especially parents, while studying at home. The solution to overcome problems related to low literacy in reading books is to involve the active role and support of families, especially parents, while studying at hom.

Indonesia is a country with a very wide diversity of cultures, religions, ethnicities, and languages. In the midst of this plurality, basic education plays an important role in shaping the character of the younger generation who is tolerant and inclusive. This article aims to explain the role of Elementary School (SD) as a model of cultural institution in building tolerance from an early age. SD is not only a knowledge transmission institution, but also as a socializing agent of cultural values, where students learn to live together in differences. This article reviews the implementation strategy of multicultural education in the elementary school environment through an inclusive curriculum approach, active learning methods, teacher guidance, strengthening school culture, and collaboration with parents and the community. In addition, this article discusses the challenges faced such as limited teacher competence and dominant cultural bias, as well as presenting concrete solutions. The results of the analysis show that SD has great potential to become an effective cultural institution in instilling the values of tolerance, equality, justice, and respect for diversity if supported by a systematic and collaborative strategy.

This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method through questionnaire distribution to analyze the impact of outsourcing practices in Human Resource Management (HRM) on satisfaction and performance. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that outsourcing is a strategy used by companies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and focus on core activities. Effective implementation requires a systematic process, including needs analysis, careful selection of qualified service providers, clear contract negotiation, and continuous monitoring of service execution. Additionally, compliance with labor regulations and the protection of employee rights are essential considerations. When applied properly, HR outsourcing can deliver significant strategic benefits to organizations.

This research explores the effectiveness of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) learning through Islamic Theater as a form of artistic expression within the Islamic Religious Education and Character Building (PAI-BP) subject at SMK Telkom Purwokerto. The background of this study is the need for innovative and relevant learning methods, considering the importance of Islamic values in shaping student character. Islamic Theater offers a multidimensional approach that not only conveys historical information cognitively but also internalizes moral and spiritual values through aesthetic experience. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with PAI-BP teachers and students, and document analysis related to the curriculum and student theater productions. Research subjects included teachers and tenth-grade students at SMK Telkom Purwokerto involved in SKI learning through Islamic Theater. The findings indicate that the use of Islamic Theater in SKI learning successfully enhanced students' understanding of Islamic historical concepts, appreciation of Islamic values, and artistic expression skills. Students demonstrated high enthusiasm, active involvement, and the ability to interpret and reflect on Islamic teachings through the medium of theater. Furthermore, Islamic Theater also proved capable of developing students' collaboration, creativity, and self-confidence. This research recommends Islamic Theater as an effective and innovative learning model for integrating religious education and art, and as a means of strengthening Islamic character in the school environment.

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) in elementary schools and its influence on the development of independence in fifth-grade students. Additionally, this study identifies the supporting and hindering factors of student independence, the role of teachers, the availability of facilities and resources, as well as the influence of family support in the context of the Independent Curriculum implementation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through interviews with principals and fifth-grade teachers from seven elementary schools in the cluster, observations of the learning process, and descriptive analysis of parent questionnaire data. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum is in the early stages of positive development, with the adoption of project-based learning and differentiation. Teachers reported an increase in student independence in learning initiative and responsibility. Supporting factors for independence include school leadership, teacher training, and innovative teaching methods, while hindering factors include time and resource limitations. The role of teachers is transforming into facilitators who encourage independence through various strategies. The availability of adequate facilities and resources, although varying among schools, also plays an important role. Family support is believed to have a significant influence in strengthening student independence at home.

This study aimed to analyze the image of women in sexual violence news through a corpus linguistics approach to detik.com online news in the period 2023–2025. Using AntConc software, an analysis was conducted on the frequency, collocation, and concordance of the word "women" in the context of sexual violence news reporting. The results of the study showed that the word "women" most often appeared together with words such as "violence", "victims", and "sexual", which indicated the dominant narrative of women as vulnerable and in need of protection. Collocations such as violence against women and women's protection reinforce the image of women as objects of victimization. Furthermore, the concordance analysis revealed forms of political, economic, family, media, and legal victimization experienced by women. This study concluded that the media played a role in shaping public perceptions that strengthened patriarchal power relations and extend gender inequality systematically. Therefore, a fairer and victim-oriented reporting approach was needed in order to build social awareness that was gender-just.
