Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest in learning of fifth grade students in the subject of science at SDN 28 Singkawang, so audio visual media is needed to increase interest in learning. The formulation of the problem includes: 1) Does audio visual media affect students’ interest in learning? 2) How big is the influence? 3) How is the interest in learning of students towards audio visual media? The aim is to determine the influence, magnitude of influence, and level of interest in learning of fifth grade students towards the use of audio visual media in science. The study used a posttest only control design with a population of fifth grade students of SDN 28 Singkawang and a saturated sample technique. Data analysis included a descriptive percentage test, a normality test with Excel, and an independent sample t-test at a significance level of 5%. The results of the study showed: 1) Audio visual media has a significant effect on learning interest, as evidenced by the normality test (X2 count: 0.927 control; 0.932 experiment ˃X2 table: 0.920), homogenity test (f count: 4.21), and hypotesis test (t count: -2.494 ˃t table:2.012), so Ha is accepted. 2) The influence is high with an effect size of 0.70. 3) Students’ learning interest increased from the high category (73%) to very high (80%) after using audio visual media. In conclusion, audio visual media has a significant and large effect on the learning interest of fifth grade students in science at SDN 28 Singkawang.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran PBL dapat mengembangkan kemampuan dan keaktifan peserta didik. Model pembelajaran PBL yang telah banyak, tetapi model PBL berbantuan LKPD belum pernah diimplementasikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang Pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuanLembar Kerja Peserta Didik ( LKPD ) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis ditinjau dari kemampuan awal peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 11 Sago. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Kuantitatif dengan desain adalah quasi experimental design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat Pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan LKPD terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis ditinjau dari kemampuan awal rendah peserta didik (0,002) , terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Berbantuan LKPD terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis ditinjau dari kemampuan awal Tinggi . Abstract

Strategic management is an important approach to improving the effectiveness of education governance, especially in resource-constrained schools. This study aims to analyze the implementation of strategic management in UPTD SD Negeri Jilatan Alur in the context of primary schools in remote areas. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study, through interviews, observations and document analysis of the principal, teachers and school committee. The results showed that despite not having a formal strategy document, the school carries out management intuitively through a culture of gotong royong and shared reflection. The conclusion of this study is that schools have great potential to implement education strategies more systematically if supported by training and active involvement of all stakeholders

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of project-based authentic assessment in improving students’ conceptual understanding and skills in the topic of the Solar System. The assessment was conducted on 11 student groups who developed planetary arrangement media as part of science learning. The results indicate that this approach had a positive impact on students' cognitive abilities, particularly in understanding factual concepts and applying them in real-life contexts. The average scores across five assessment aspects were as follows: conceptual understanding (80), group performance (80), product (78), portfolio (80), and presentation skills (76). These scores reflect that the majority of students met the success criteria within the “good” category. The use of authentic assessment allowed students not only to comprehend the material but also to develop critical thinking, collaboration, and self-reflection skills. Observations during the project implementation showed that students were highly enthusiastic, actively engaged in group discussions, and eager to design and build the solar system models. In-depth interviews also revealed that students found it easier to understand the material through project-based methods compared to conventional methods such as lectures or textbook reading. Authentic assessment has proven to effectively integrate cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, offering a meaningful learning experience that is contextualized to real-world situations. Therefore, this approach is suitable for implementation as a science learning strategy in elementary and secondary education.

Abstract

New developments in information technology have paved the way for innovative possibilities in education management, particularly when it comes to overseeing and enhancing education quality at the Elementary School (SD) and Middle School (SMP/SMA) levels. In Indonesia, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has initiated the Education Report Platform, which features detailed data for each educational institution. This article discusses the concepts of education profile, education report, and education report platform, and how all three can be utilized in the planning and decision-making process to improve the quality of education at the elementary and secondary levels.

Abstract

(1)Several factors contribute to students' boredom in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning process in Grade IV at SDN 7 Banawa Selatan, including the lack of variation in teaching methods, the learning process being confined to the classroom, an unchanging learning environment, and prolonged mental tension during lessons. (2) The strategies employed by teachers to overcome student boredom in the PAI learning process in Grade IV at SDN 7 Banawa Selatan include direct instruction strategies, indirect instruction strategies, interactive instruction strategies, and independent learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to identify various inhibiting factors and the steps that have been taken, as well as to analyze the implementation of P5 dimensions of global diversity in developing character education for love of country for grade IV students at SD Negeri Jirapan 3 Sragen. This study was conducted at SD Negeri Jirapan 3 Sragen using a qualitative descriptive approach. The data used consisted of primary and secondary data, obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation conducted by the researcher together with the principal, teachers, and grade IV students. The subjects in this study included the principal, teachers, and grade IV students, with a sample size of three people. Data collection techniques were carried out through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as supporting data. To ensure the validity of the data, the researcher implemented strategies such as increasing perseverance in the research process, triangulation of techniques and data sources, and utilization of reference materials. The data analysis process was carried out through several stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. According to the findings of the analysis that the researcher has conducted, it shows that SD Negeri Jirapan 3 Sragen has implemented P5 dimensions of global diversity in developing character education of love for the homeland of grade IV students well. This is reflected through learning, self-development in students, and habituation activities at school such as religious activities, scouts, extracurricular karawitan, and school activities in commemorating national holidays, as well as projects for making handicrafts and regional specialties that have been running well. The existing inhibiting factors have been successfully overcome through various efforts that have been carried out well.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of strategic management as a key pillar in the transformation process of the education system. Educational transformation requires an approach that is not only structural but also strategic, in order to address contemporary challenges systematically and sustainably. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method using a literature review approach, examining various theories and strategic practices in educational management. Data were obtained from various written sources such as academic books, national journals, policy documents, and relevant previous research. The findings indicate that strategic management plays a vital role in defining the direction and goals of education, enhancing the effectiveness of program implementation, promoting transformational leadership, building a culture of quality, and strengthening the synchronization between policies and their implementation in the field. Well-formulated strategies serve as a bridge between national educational visions and operational practices at the institutional level. Leaders with strategic management capabilities are more adaptive to change and capable of creating collaborative and results-oriented work systems. These findings affirm that strategic management is not merely an administrative planning tool, but also the main framework in shaping the future of education. With the implementation of contextual, data-based, and quality-oriented strategies, educational institutions will be better prepared to face policy changes, student needs, and global demands. Therefore, strengthening strategic capacity at both institutional and individual levels is a crucial step in achieving sustainable education reform.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate various government policies in an effort to improve the quality of teachers and education personnel in Indonesia. Teachers and education personnel are strategic components in the national education system that determine the quality of the learning process in schools. Policies such as teacher certification, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), provision of professional allowances, and recruitment of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) are the main focus of this study. The method used is a literature review by examining books, scientific journal articles, policy documents, and relevant research findings.The results of the review show that although these policies have been conceptually designed to enhance the competence and welfare of educators, their implementation in the field still faces several challenges. These include training programs that are not contextual, disparities in access across regions, and suboptimal administrative systems. In addition, attention to the role of non-teaching education personnel remains limited, even though they play a vital role in supporting educational success. The uneven implementation of policies across regions also exacerbates disparities in education quality, particularly between developed areas and 3T regions (frontier, outermost, and disadvantaged areas). Based on these findings, the study recommends strengthening regional capacity, designing training based on actual needs, and improving coordination between the central and regional governments. A more adaptive and inclusive policy approach is believed to encourage the achievement of strategic goals in enhancing the overall quality of national education.

Abstract

The low science learning outcomes among fifth-grade elementary school students indicate the need for innovation in learning models that can enhance students' understanding and engagement in the learning process. The Index Card Match learning model is one alternative that can be applied to address this problem. This study aims to determine the effect of the Index Card Match learning model on science learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. This study used an experimental method, namely True Experimental Design with a Posttest-Only Control Design. The sample in this study consisted of students from classes V.B and V.D, totaling 61 students, selected using Simple Random Sampling technique. Based on the hypothesis test conducted by the researcher using the Independent Sample T-Test, the calculated t value = 7.217 with a t table value = 1.671 at a significance level of 0.05. Thus, after examining the t-test results, it can be stated that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected because the calculated t value > t table value (7.217 > 1.671). It can be concluded that there is an effect of the Index Card Match learning model on science learning outcomes of fifth-grade Elementary School Students.
