Abstract

Background: Learning is an activity that involves teachers and students in interacting. However, in reality, not a few students are not directly involved in learning, meaning that students play a passive role during the learning process. This can be caused in part by teachers' ignorance in the effectiveness of the use of learning media, so that students' motivation to learn decreases. Purpose: This literature study aims to find out how museums are used as a medium and source of learning, as well as analyze the obstacles and solutions of the factors that hinder their use. Method: The type of research used is a literature review using a descriptive method. Result: The results of the study show that museums can be used as a medium and learning resource because they can help teachers carry out learning outside the classroom, help increase student knowledge and understanding, and increase student motivation and participation during the learning process. As for the obstacles in its use, namely limited time and funds, as well as museum collections that are not relevant to what students are studying, the solution in handling it is to prepare a mature schedule and submit a budget to the school for student personal cost relief, then be able to adjust the museum and more relevant materials.

Abstract

Indonesia is a transcultural country that has been influenced by Western hegemony, which has led to the emergence of liberalism. This means that every person is free to express their innovation and creativity to influence others to follow them. The implementation of character education through Quran memorization is a conducive solution to address the challenges of the 21st century. The TES method (Simple Recitation Evaluation) has the effect of increasing closeness to the Quran, fostering Islamic character, and cultivating inner peace. The purpose of this research is to develop a Sharia-based school management model with four steps. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach, employing data triangulation. Data collection was conducted through surveys using observation, interviews with snowball sampling to obtain in-depth and comprehensive answers, and documentation. The research instruments involved all school stakeholders, both internal and external, with primary and secondary data sources. The results of this study indicate that (1) Sharia-compliant planning, from vision to evaluation and revision, accelerates the smooth implementation of school operations. (2) The implementation of learning using appropriate tahfizh methods, professional teacher mastery in the classroom, and establishing flexible and appropriate partnerships can make students excel and help brain therapists, especially children with special needs, become haafizh Qur'an and have stable psychological conditions. (3) Continuous supervision by the foundation, school principal, and parents makes the school develop quickly and have many students. (4) The development of a Sharia-based school that considers students' psychological well-being and abilities, employee happiness, appropriate teacher placement and classroom layout, excellent service, and sound financial management makes the school outstanding.

Abstract

This study examines how Nurcholish Madjid’s theories on secularization have been reinterpreted and their impact on Indonesia’s current Islamic curriculum. Madjid’s perspective on secularization is not a rejection of religion but rather a process that can strengthen faith and foster a more inclusive educational system. Using a qualitative literature review, the research demonstrates how Madjid’s concepts of separating religious and political authority can serve as a foundation for a curriculum that integrates general knowledge with Islamic values. This approach aims to cultivate students critical thinking and tolerance. The findings highlight the relevance of Madjid’s ideas to contemporary issues in Indonesia, such as globalization and pluralism. The study concludes with recommendations for curriculum development aligned with Madjid's philosophy and advocates for further research into the practical application of his concepts in educational settings. Ultimately, this research contributes to understanding how Islamic education can adapt to a modern, multicultural society while maintaining its spiritual core.

Abstract

Background: The widespread dissemination of radical ideologies through digital media poses a serious threat to the younger generation. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has strategic potential to shape ideological resilience and religious moderation, yet it needs to be actualized in line with the challenges of the digital era; Purpose of the Study: This study aims to analyze the role of PAI in countering radicalism in the digital world and to formulate strategies for strengthening PAI learning based on digital literacy and values of tolerance; Methods: The research employs a qualitative approach using literature study and content analysis of primary sources (PAI curriculum, education policies) and secondary sources (journals, books, and online radicalism cases). Data were analyzed thematically to identify solution patterns; Results: Findings indicate that PAI is effective as an anti-radicalism bulwark when combining three aspects: (1) strengthening inclusive religious understanding, (2) integrating digital literacy into learning materials, and (3) collaboration between teachers, parents, and digital platforms. Examples of good practices include using social media for moderation campaigns and interactive case-based learning; Conclusions: PAI does not only serve as a means of transmitting religious knowledge but also as a deradicalization instrument in the digital era. Curriculum innovation and enhancing PAI teachers' digital literacy capacity are essential to maximizing this role.

Abstract

Background: This study was motivated by the implementation of the Qur'an study program in ma'had which was not optimal, due to limited human resources, budget, and low involvement of mahasantri. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the program and formulate strategies to optimize the al-Qur'an study program in Ma'had. Methods: This research uses a qualitative method of evaluative approach, with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation and data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model. Results: Context evaluation of program implementation is quite in line with the vision, mission, and goals of the ma'had while the program needs analysis component has not been carried out comprehensively. 2. Input evaluation in general, the infrastructure component is quite good, while the curriculum component is not yet standardized, the teaching staff is limited and the budget is not adequate. 3. Process evaluation shows that the implementation of the program generally runs quite well. However, the involvement of mahasantri is very low, the learning method is still monotonous, and there are several obstacles such as limited teaching staff, limited time, and low motivation of mahasantri. 4. Product evaluation shows results that are not yet optimal. The number of mahasantri who passed the BTA certification was still very low. Even so, there is an increase in the ability of mahasantri to read the Qur'an and an increase in academic achievement based on the value of the BTA course. Conclusion: The implementation of the al-Qur'an study program in ma'had still faces various obstacles in the aspects of context, input, process, and product so that the results achieved are not optimal. Therefore, an optimization strategy is needed through strengthening the curriculum, improving the quality and quantity of teaching staff, providing adequate infrastructure, and sufficient budget support so that the program can run more effectively and sustainably. By optimizing this strategy, Ma'had is expected to be able to improve the quality of al-Qur'an study program in Ma'had.

Abstract

Background The ability of mothers to read the Qur’an still encounters various challenges in practice. This study aims to identify the causal factors experienced by mothers in learning Qur’anic recitation. Purpose: The mapping process was carried out through the recognition and categorization of the different forms of obstacles faced by rural mothers in their efforts to learn Qur’anic reading. Method: This research employs a qualitative method, specifically a case study with a grounded research approach. The study began with selecting cases from the population in rural Takengon. Three cases were chosen based on the consideration that this phenomenon reflects the reality currently taking place in the village. These three cases were then carefully observed. Result: The study found that the difficulties and obstacles faced by mothers in reading the Qur’an are caused by various factors involving important elements determining the success of Qur’anic reading. At least five main causes of difficulties and obstacles were identified, first cognitive limitations related to knowledge of Qur’anic sciences, second limited religious knowledge among most mothers, resulting in a weak foundation for correctly understanding Qur’anic recitation, third time constraints due to domestic duties and household responsibilities, which prevent consistent participation in learning, fourth a limited number of Qur’an teachers in the village, causing inadequate guidance for all participants, fifth the village’s difficult geographical conditions worsen accessibility to regular learning activities. Conclusion: Furthermore, the author categorizes the problems in learning Qur’anic reading into three aspects: cognitive and religious barriers, structural and resource barriers, and geographical and accessibility barriers. The findings indicate that these three types of obstacles are closely interrelated and require a holistic and sustainable approach to coaching and development.
