Abstract

One of the responsibilities of Muslims is to eat halal food. Halal has become a universal signal for ensuring the quality of products and living standards due to obedience and commitment. For Muslims, the availability of halal items is a crucial necessity. As a result, the government is now required to provide halal goods, particularly in nations where the majority population is Muslim. Product awareness affects consumer behavior when selecting items in addition to halal certification. For Muslims, it is essential to have the necessary knowledge while purchasing and consuming halal items. It is crucial since a number of non-Muslim sources in addition to Muslims provide halal-certified goods. The use of pharmaceutical ingredients generated from animals is a significant source of concern for certain customers who have religious or cultural restraints. The use of gene therapy must be adjusted to the type of disease to be treated. Diseases and their genetic relationships must be known first before gene therapy is carried out. If a gene related to a particular disease can be identified, the potential for the disease to be treated will be even greater. Similar with above statement mention that when developing halal pharmaceuticals, it is necessary to investigate alternative materials that meet halal standards while reducing the usage of essential chemicals, as well as several key principles that must be obeyed. As a therapeutic ingredient, everything is regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration regulations. (FDA.gov) The FDA regulates everything regarding cell and gene therapy, starting from safety testing of human cells, the use of animal material for cell and gene therapy purposes, donor eligibility regulations to testing donors of human cells. Regarding whether cell and gene therapy can be categorized as halal or not, it can be seen from whether all the procedures and equipment used have met the requirements in the halal certification process or not.

Abstract

Wasting is still a major nutritional problem in Indonesia with a prevalence of 8.5%, exceeding the WHO threshold of 5%. Household food security plays an important role in preventing wasting, especially in areas with high economic vulnerability such as Cipicung and Sukatani Villages. This study aims to analyze the relationship between household food security and the incidence of wasting in toddlers. This study was an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional design involving 110 toddlers aged 6–59 months. Data were collected through anthropometric measurements and the Food Insecurity Experience Scale (FIES) questionnaire. The results showed that 93.6% of families were in the category of severe food security, and as many as 13.6% of toddlers experienced wasting. Bivariate analysis using gamma correlation test showed a significant relationship between food security and wasting with a value of p = 0.014. Poor food security increases the risk of wasting due to limited access to nutritious food. The conclusion of this study is that household food security has a significant relationship with the incidence of wasting in toddlers, so there is a need for interventions that focus on improving food security at the community level.

Abstract

Sphenoid Wing Meningioma (SWMNG) is a prevalent intracranial tumor with significant implications for obstetric patients, particularly due to heightened risks of cerebral edema and increased intracranial pressure (ICP). This case highlights the anesthetic management of a pregnant patient with SWMNG and symptomatic epilepsy, focusing on the use of rocuronium bromide for rapid sequence intubation (RSI). Rocuronium, a non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocker, offers rapid onset and intermediate duration, making it a preferred choice for high-risk cases. A 34 year old woman at 38 weeks and 5 days of gestation with a confirmed diagnosis of SWMNG and symptomatic epilepsy underwent a cesarean section and surgical sterilization. The patient’s clinical history included frequent transient loss of awareness episodes, exacerbated during pregnancy. Imaging confirmed SWMNG, necessitating general anesthesia (GA) with rocuronium at a dose of 0.8 mg/kg to ensure effective RSI while minimizing risks of prolonged neuromuscular blockade, compromised hemodynamic stability, and increased ICP. The procedure was successfully completed with stable maternal and fetal outcomes. Rocuronium facilitated optimal intubation conditions and muscle relaxation, with minimal placental transfer and preserved uterine contractility. This case underscores the efficacy of precise rocuronium dosing in balancing rapid recovery, safety, and the unique challenges of airway management in obstetric patients with intracranial tumors. Vigilant monitoring and tailored anesthetic strategies are essential to mitigate complications, ensuring favorable outcomes for both mother and fetus.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes in the strategic management of hospitals, especially in efforts to improve the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of health services. This study aims to examine various strategic management innovations implemented by hospitals in Indonesia and globally in the era of health digitalization. This research was conducted using a systematic literature study method of 25 scientific articles published in the period 2022-2025. The results of the review show that the application of technologies such as Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS), digital marketing, telemedicine, and artificial intelligence has had a positive impact on operational effectiveness, data transparency, and patient experience. However, the digital transformation process is also faced with challenges such as limited infrastructure, resistance to change from human resources, and regulations that are not yet fully adaptive. Innovation-based management strategies, cross-sector collaboration, and strengthened governance are the keys to success in facing the dynamics of the digital era. This study recommends the importance of HR capacity building, digital infrastructure investment, and policy updates as strategic steps to support the sustainability of hospital management innovation in the future.
