Abstract

Community service activities with the title "Batik Training with Jagad Pacitan Motifs as an Effort to Develop Creative Economy in Ngetep Hamlet, Ngromo Village, Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency" this activity focuses on improving the skills of the Ngetep Hamlet community through training in the field of fine arts. The program was carried out in order to develop the creative economy in Ngetep Hamlet. This activity is also an effort to present artistic activities which can build the brand image of Ngetep Hamlet. Besides being an effort to improve skills, batik training also aims to grow the love of the community, especially the younger generation, for one of Indonesia's cultural heritages, namely batik. With this training, it is expected that the emergence of artistic activities carried out by the community and can develop into a source of community income in the field of fine arts. The method used in this batik training activity is the lecturing plus method, demonstration, practice, and also combines with the art creation method where participants are invited to be creative in the motifs to be made into batik. This training was carried out with 5 stages of work, namely the introduction of tools and materials, presentation of material about batik, demonstration of the batik making process, practice of motif design creation, and practice of making batik

Abstract

The Sumedang style Wayang dance is a monumental work created by Raden Ono Lesmana Kartadikusumah in the 1930s. After surviving for around 90 years, there is one dance that has been recognized as part of Indonesia's Intangible Cultural Heritage (WBTB) in 2022, namely the Jayengrana Dance. Apart from dancing, Sumedang has a natural wealth of bamboo which has the potential to be developed towards a creative economy. Based on these two factors, motivated to do Community Service (PKM) in Rancakalong. The choice of place was considered on the basis of the availability of potential human resources and natural resources and as a continuation of the ISBI Bandung student street vendors.The method that will be applied in this PKM, uses the Participation Action Research (PAR) method. This method has continuity because it contains cycles of participation, research, and action. Participation is a form of caring attitude to spread the Jayengrana Dance again and build a community of bamboo musical instrument craftsmen. This form of concern is motivated by previous research. Then action is a form of activity in conducting PKM in the form of revitalization.This PKM focused on two forms of activity, namely the Jayengrana Dance training and the Workshop on Making Bamboo Musical Instruments which textually and contextually became an important part of the Sumedang community, especially the course participants who were members of the Arimbi Studio and the same time empowered the Sumedang Rancakalong Geotheater. The results of this training were then evaluated internally in the form of tides and flashmobs.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to preserve one of the intangible heritage assets, namely Gending BopongGaya Kayumas Denpasar. Gending Bopong is one of the Petangkilan Gendings in the Balinese Wayang (shadowpuppet) show scene. Recently, there has been a phenomenon that Gending Bopong is rarely presented anymorebecause this game has a long structure, making it difficult to master it. This is why it is feared that this gending willbecome extinct, so coaching is needed regarding mastering drumming skills and practical mastery of the Boponggending material. The methods used are lecture, demonstration, and imitation. This coaching process goes throughseveral stages, namely: (1) socialization, (2) implementation stage, (3) stabilization phase, (4) evaluation stage,and (5) presentation of coaching results. As a result of this service activity, training participants at the SanggarTabuh Kembang Waru were able to enrich their knowledge and skills in drumming Gender Wayang and foster prideand love in the effort to maintain and develop the traditional artistic heritage.

Abstract

In particular, the quality of learning is determined by a teacher’s abilities. Professional teachers undoubtedly canprovide learning creatively. They must be able to see the situation within the limitations of teaching media needs byutilizing existing resources. Training teachers is essential to improve teachers’ abilities in providing creativelessons to students, especially in creativity-based learning. The Community Empowerment aims to train high schoolteachers in mix-and-match exploration of stamped and tie-dyed batik in arts and culture subjects. The entire seriesof P2M activities are carried out using a Learning-by-doing approach, a demonstration method, and video tutorials.The training takes place in the Betawi pavilion of SMAN 109 South Jakarta. The training results showed thatparticipants were able to complete the entire training series well, even though there were several obstacles. Fromthe results of the work analysis, on average, the participants produced work of excellent quality, so teachers areexpected to be able to teach batik skills to students in their respective schools in arts and culture subjects.

Abstract

Mosques are one of the important aspects for Muslims to worship God, including in tourist attractions. Worshipfacilities have been proven to have a positive impact on the image and visits of tourist destinations. The availabilityof mosque facilities, the clearly-heard sound of the prayer call, and signs indicating the Qibla direction have beenproven to have a significant influence on tourist visits. These indicators needed improvements there at the DarussalamCengklik Mosque. As a mosque located in the tourist destination area, it should be able to develop and improve toprovide comfort to tourists in doing their religious obligations. The approach taken to provide a solution is aCommunity Development approach through empowering mosque youth so that they can improve the quality ofresources, the management, and be able to utilize social media to provide clear information regarding routineactivities and precise locations of the mosque to tourists.

Abstract

Universitas Kristen Maranatha has managed the Indonesian University thematic community service program (KKN)annually. Thematic KKN at Cipanjalu Village, Bandung Regency, was during the even semester of 2022/2023, withthirteen meetings and ten work programs. The 9th meeting of the thematic KKN featured MSME actors in CipanjaluVillage, with the topic “Tips and Tricks for Making Product Packaging Creatively.” The group consists of teachingstaff and 14 students from different departments of Universitas Kristen Maranatha for the thematic KKN at CipanjaluVillage, Bandung Regency. The seventh work program in this community service focuses on helping to createinventive and ecologically friendly product packaging. A creative, autonomous, and environmentally responsiblecommunity is developing through the work program at thematic KKN in Cipanjalu Village, which is intended toboost the economy and progress MSMEs by implementing efficient technologies.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan di Panti Pelayanan Sosial Anak (PPSA) Taruna Yodha Sukoharjo meneruskan program kegiatan sebelumnya. Program ini bertujuan untuk mendukung keberhasilan  PPSA Taruna Yodha dalam mengembangkan keahlian pembuatan produk lain dengan teknik Happa Zome  dan steam serta sistem pelayanan on-line yang akan dijalankan untuk para siswa. Pengetahuan tentang desain pada produk  sangat  diperlukan guna  meningkatkan  pengetahuan dan sebagai bekal penerapan secara visual, sehingga dapat menghasilkan produk dengan teknik happa zome dan steam yang lebih baik. Sistem pelayanan on-line shop tidak kalah pentingnya dalam pengembangan ini. On-line shop yang mulai dijalankan oleh PPSA Taruna Yodha masih memerlukan sistem yang strategis dalam menawarkan produk yang dihasilkan. Program kegiatan pendampingan yang di berikan selain desain dan Teknik Happa Zome dan steam juga  tentang sistem pelayanan on-line shop yang mencakup pengetahuan produk yang berkualitas, product knowledge/story telling product, sistem kemasan pada produk.            Program kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan  dalam wujud pendampingan dan pelatihan kepada 20 orang penerima manfaat dan pemberian wawasan selama 7 kali pertemuan yakni diawali dengan pemberian wawasan dan praktek tentang desain serta bagaimana mulai membuat sebuah perancangan produk teknik happa zome dan steam secara sederhana, pemberian wawasan material atau bahan, sistem pelayanan secara on-line dengan pemberian wawasan tentang product knowledge, produk yang berkualitas, packaging untuk menyampaikan layanan komunikasi secara tepat.Metode yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah melalui metode pendampingan, pelatihan  tentang pengembangan desain dengan teknik Happa zome dan steam serta system online shop untuk memasarkan produk yang telah dibuat oleh para siswa yang ada di PPSA Taruna Yodha. Hasil yang di capai dalam kegiatan ini adalah para siswa di PPSA Taruna Yodha mendapatkan wawasan dan tambahan keahlian dalam bidang olah tekstil teknik Happa Zome dan steam serta mempu mengenal produk yang baik,  memanange produksinya, serta memanage strategi sistem pelayanan online shop nya secara maksimal dan mandiri.

Abstract

Educators have a very important role in the process of determining the potential development of children with special needs according to the conditions and needs of referrals of children with special needs, extraordinary school teachers (SLB) are professional teachers in the field of knowledge of children with special needs. This is inseparable from the creativity of teachers to always provide an innovation, for example by utilizing a pandan woven pouch as a product with a decoupage technique so that it has a high selling value. The purpose of this activity is to increase creativity in making woven pouch decorations that have a selling value, provide knowledge of making woven pouches with decoupage techniques and instill the entrepreneurial spirit of SLB N 1 Yogyakarta teachers so that they are able to produce products that are in great demand by consumers, provide knowledge about the fashion business including calculation of selling prices, and marketing strategies. This activity is carried out by the method of lectures, demonstrations, training and practice. Based on the results of product manufacturing during practice, participants were very enthusiastic about practicing the material provided. The results of the participants' practice also varied, namely each participant made different motif creations by combining various kinds of tissue decoupage motifs. Participants Increase knowledge of decoupage techniques through a process of creativity and innovation in order to increase income and be able to disseminate to students and students of SLB. Through this training, teachers have the skills to improve the quality of human resources which can be used as a provision for opening a business while creating jobs.

Abstract

Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) SMA yang berada di wilayah 11 Kabupaten Garut, menaungi 20 SMA. Mata pelajaran seni budaya, merupakan mata pelajaran yang masuk ke dalam kurikulum di tingkat SMA. Mata pelajaran ini mengajarkan menggambar, melukis di luar ruangan, hingga mengelola pameran dalam skala lokal. Materi yang belum diberikan adalah pengelolaan material ramah lingkungan sebagai bahan untuk membuat karya seni rupa. Materi tersebut setelah ditelusuri adalah membatik dengan material yang ramah lingkungan. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru seni budaya dalam proses pembelajaran seni rupa di sekolah-sekolah Kabupaten Garut. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra untuk dicarikan solusinya adalah bagaimana cara meningkatkan kompetensi guru seni budaya di daerah Kabupaten Garut dalam proses pembelajaran seni rupa dengan menggunakan material eco green. Metoda yang dipergunakan adalah asset-based community development (ABCD). Peserta pelatihan ini berjumlah 33 orang guru seni budaya. Hasil kegiatan para peserta dapat membuat batik kreatif dengan menggunakan material dari olahan bubuk asam jawa yang dibuat menjadi lilin dingin, sedangkan objek didominasi oleh motif flora fauna, dan warna-warna yang pergunakan adalah warna kontras seperti merah, kuning, hijau, teknik pewarnaannya menggunakan teknik colet.

Abstract

Jerami adalah limbah sisa pemanenan padi yang belum termanfaatkan secara optimal. Volume limbah jerami yang luar biasa dan nilai manfaatnya yang rendah oleh karena itu pemanfaatan limbah jerami penting untuk dilakukan. Pemanfaatan merujuk pada karakteristik jerami atau batang padi, memungkinkan untuk dimanfaatakn dalam bentuk serat.  Tujuan dari penelitain ini adalah untuk mengolah jerami menjadi bahan produk kerajinan dan mebel; desain dan perwujudan produk kerajinan dan mebel berbasis serat jerami; perlindungan inovasi produk dan uji pasar. Proses kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan daan pertimbangan aspek desain dan manufaktur. Sumber data terdiri dari sumber utama, literatur dan informan sedangkan analisis data yakni dengan model analisis interaktif, meliputi reduksi data, data display dan verifikasi data. Luaran atau target penelitian meliputi penemuan hasil hutan non-kayu sebagai bahan produk kerajinan, dan pencatatan kekayaan intelektual. Pemanfaatan jerami sebagai limbah sisa pemanenan menjadi produk jadi maupun produk setengah jadi merupakan upaya untuk memberdayakan petani dan kelompok-kelompok industri kreatif.
