Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of online and offline learning through the Klipaa.id application, as an online learning medium for Environmental Education class students at STKIP Kusuma Negara Jakarta in the Artificial Intelligent (AI) era. The method in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach and data collection techniques are carried out through interviews. Data validity using source triangulation. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the use of the Klipaa.id application is very effective in terms of three indicators, namely in terms of the intensity of lecture implementation which can be utilized by students and lecturers, in terms of communication it can be seen from the use of features to receive and send lecture material neatly in the agenda feature, and in terms of fulfillment, it can be seen that students feel their information needs are met during online and offline lectures. Klipaa.id is only one media/application, there are many other media/applications that can optimize learning that takes place online and offline (blended learning).

Abstract

The research aims and focuses on analyzing the effect of reading literacy and Emotional Intelligence toward the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 7 Silih Nara, Aceh Tengah Regency. The research methodology used is quantitative study which conducted in the fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 7 Silih Nara, Aceh Tengah Regency. The research instrument used in this research was test. The data was collected from the test of reading literacy and test of Emotional Intelligence. The data was analyzed by using inferential analysis T-test The inferential analysis utilized multiple regression analysis and hypothesis test with T-test, and F-test (ANNOVA). Data processing was performed by using SPSS Version 23. There were two result findings found based on the result of T-test and F-test (ANNOVA). The first result finding of T-test showed that reading literacy has significant effect toward the students’ learning outcomes that showed by sig value was 0.000 (<0.05), but emotional intelligence does not have the effect toward the students’ learning outcomes (0.163 (>0.05)). The second result finding of F-test (ANNOVA), the reading literacy and emotional intelligence analyzed together has significant effect toward students' learning outcomes. The Sig value obtained was .000b. It means that hypothesis was accepted.

Abstract

his study examines the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) interventions on digital literacy, digital amnesia, and the readiness of Universitas Terbuka (UT) students in the Islamic Education Study Program to face the challenges of the Society 5.0 Era. Using a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory case study design, quantitative data from 100 students were analyzed using simple linear regression, while qualitative data were processed inductively. The findings reveal that AI interventions significantly enhance digital literacy by 81% (high category) and reduce digital amnesia by 65.7% (moderate category). AI interventions also prepare students for the Society 5.0 Era through active participation, the use of AI applications, positive interactions with tutors, technology utilization, and student collaboration. The study recommends strengthening technological infrastructure, providing tutor training, and developing AI-based learning materials to optimize learning at UT, enabling students to better face the challenges of the Society 5.0 Era.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to further examine the strategies used by primary schools in Bengkayang, a border area, in developing the concept of digital economy through the Pelajar Pancasila Profile in the dimension of critical reasoning. This research is an exploratory study with a qualitative approach. The research subjects consist of three primary schools in the border area with different accreditation levels: A, B, and C accreditation. Four teachers were selected from each school, making a total of 12 teacher respondents in this study. The data collection includes interviews, open questionnaires, observations, and literature review. The results of this study show that the concept of digital economy is still unstructured, which can be seen from the fact that the teaching materials used have not been constructed comprehensively. The limitations of understanding related to the concept of the digital economy in elementary schools have not been fully mastered by teachers, so it also has an impact on student understanding. Such conditions encourage the need for training, especially in designing teaching materials and assessments that can accommodate this need. In addition, schools also need to support the improvisation of teaching materials so that they do not depend on the textbooks.

Abstract

Mathematics is vital for technological and knowledge development but is often perceived as difficult and boring, reducing students' interest in learning.  The objectives of this research are 1) Describe the application of jarimatika method in mathematics learning in class V of Binangun State Elementary School; 2) Knowing the average increase in student numeracy test results. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method—data collected using several stages, namely interviews, observations, tests, and documentation. The data analysis used is data reduction, data collection, and conclusion. The results of this study show that the application of the jarimatika method is beneficial for students in doing math problems, especially in multiplication so that students do not need a long time to solve the problems given by the teacher. The jarimatika method also improves the ability to count quickly but it is also seen from the increase in pre-test to post-test scores. The average score of fast counting ability of grade V elementary school students in the pre-test was 30.5% and increased to 49.4% in the post-test. The Jarimatika method is highly recommended to help students count and break the atmosphere when boredom comes into the learning process.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of problem-based learning (PBL) models on students' critical thinking skills, particularly those integrated with multimedia. The research reviews existing literature on the use of multimedia in PBL and evaluates its effects on student learning outcomes. Using a quantitative approach focusing on quasi-experimental designs, the study analyzes findings from multiple studies demonstrating multimedia's positive influence of multimedia, such as videos, animations, and e-books, on critical thinking. The results show that while multimedia significantly enhances student engagement and problem-solving abilities, its effectiveness is also influenced by factors such as student motivation and teacher expertise in integrating technology. However, the adoption of multimedia in PBL remains limited across educational contexts, and long-term impacts remain underexplored. The study highlights the need for further research on the long-term effects of multimedia-supported PBL and emphasizes the importance of teacher training in utilizing multimedia tools effectively. The findings suggest that expanding multimedia use in PBL could improve critical thinking skills and learning outcomes, with potential benefits for educational practices and policy development.

Abstract

This study investigates first-year science pre-service teachers’ abilities and perspectives on PISA questions, addressing Indonesia's low PISA rankings and challenges in teacher preparation. A total of 153 first-year students from four programs at Mulawarman University (mathematics, biology, physics, and computer education) participated. Using a mixed-methods approach, quantitative data were collected through validated PISA test instruments, while qualitative insights were drawn from open-ended responses. The results showed no significant differences in PISA scores by gender or study program, but significant differences emerged when comparing first-year students to third-year students and professional teachers, with first-year students scoring lower. Qualitative findings revealed themes such as the cognitive challenges posed by PISA questions, their ability to foster critical thinking, unfamiliarity with the format, and their real-world relevance. Despite difficulties, many participants found the questions engaging and valuable for developing analytical skills. These findings highlight the need to incorporate PISA-style assessments in teacher education programs to enhance higher-order thinking and better prepare pre-service teachers for international standards in education.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' academic achievement in Catholic Religious Education. The study involved fourth-grade students of SDN Mananga Aba. The study used Classroom Action Research. Multiple-choice test questions were used as data collection instruments. Data analysis included descriptive analysis (i.e., individual completion, class completion), analysis of observation results of teacher and student activities. The results showed an increase from cycle I to II, both in the percentage of class completion (33 to 92) and the average value (63 to 85), as well as the average teacher activity (65 to 97) and students (96 to 96). These achievements indicate that discovery learning improves student learning outcomes. This increase occurred because the researcher made improvements to learning in Cycle II, especially in the teacher's ability to apply discovery learning syntax, and was supported by increased student initiative, motivation, and collaboration during the learning process. The findings of this study have important implications for teachers. They should make greater use of innovative learning models, especially discovery learning, to improve the quality of the learning process and the achievements of elementary school students in Catholic Religious Education.
