Abstract

Kebersihan gigi dan mulut anak perlu diperhatikan sedini mungkin dan anak perlu diajarkan untuk mandiri dengan terlebih dahulu dilkukan pendampingan pada prosesnya. Tujuan kegiatan adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang konsumsi buah dan pengetahuan menjaga kesehatan gigi pada murid SD 68/IV Kota Jambi.Pre test juga dilakukan kepada murid kelas III sampai dengan V yang hadir pada saat kegiatan. Jumlah murid yang hadir sebanyak 113 orang. Pret test diberikan kepada seluruh murid. Hasil pre test dengan kuesioer menunjukan pengetahuan  murid kelas III sampai dengan kelas VI masih belum baik. Kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa bimbingan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang diet sehat dan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi, serta pendampingan praktik menyikat gigi secara personal.Hasil kegiatan diperoleh  terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan guru  dan murid tentang diet sehat dan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi yang signifikan dengan sig. <0,001,

Abstract

Suco Village has great potential in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry. People in Suco village generally raise goats or sheep, and some raise cattle. Livestock in Suco village already uses an integrated livestock concept. Some livestock waste in Suco village is utilized, some is not managed properly. A goat and sheep farm with a capacity of 50 heads will produce around 25 kg of solid manure per day. This will cause environmental and health problems if not managed properly. The training on making organic fertilizer from livestock manure was carried out as part of the 2024 Innovation activities. The training activity aimed to increase knowledge and inspire participants in making organic fertilizer. The activity was attended by all members of the Productive Farm and King Farm livestock groups. During the training, participants increased their knowledge about variations in the composition of organic fertilizers which influence the effectiveness of fertilizers and also how to become a fertilizer entrepreneur, as well as how to market them. The training activities ran smoothly and successfully accompanied by the enthusiasm of the participants. With this activity, it is hoped that it can increase the productivity of organic fertilizer in Suco village, thereby improving its economy.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Bondowoso Regency have an important role in economic growth and regional business development. To empower and improve the quality of UMKM in Bondowoso Regency, an UMKM empowerment program is carried out through E-Content Development and Strategic Marketing Communication skills training which can help Ijen Batik Tamanan UMKM in Bondowoso Regency in overcoming the challenges of digitalization and improving and expanding marketing. Economic digitalization plays an important role in accelerating the growth of Batik UMKM. Through the application of digital technology, UMKM can increase the visibility of their products online, reach a wider market, and strengthen interactions with customers through digital platforms and social media. Digitalization also opens up new opportunities to improve operational efficiency and management of UMKM businesses. UMKM can also understand how to develop effective and targeted marketing strategies to reach a wider range of consumers.

Abstract

Antibiotics are compounds created by microorganisms to live by destroying their competitors. Antibiotics are commonly used without a prescription to treat symptoms caused by non-bacterial infections. Antibiotic resistance is a global problem. Continuous education is needed by agents of change to overcome this problem. Community service collaboration between the Department of Microbiology-Parasitology, FK Unair, and the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, Gadjah Mada University with partnerships for the goals teachers from the Al Khairaat Yogyakarta educational foundation, aim to provide an understanding of the proper use of antibiotics. The initial target of transfer of knowledge was successfully measured by increasing participants' post-test results.

Abstract

Partners in the PPM Partnership program is fish steamer and paste maker in West Lebak Village, Pamekasan Madura. In the process of steaming partner fish, firewood is still used as fuel. This causes air pollution in the surrounding environment; workers complain of heat and sore eyes. With these partner conditions, there is potential to develop an automatic fish steamer. Apart from that, the workers complained that the process of stirring the fish paste took a long time and had to be stirred constantly so that the fish paste didn't burn. The methods used in this program are appropriate technological innovation, training and coaching as well as monitoring and evaluating activities. Technological innovation was carried out through the creation of fish steamers and automatic fish paste makers using LPG gas. Training and guidance are carried out through activities on how to use and maintain fish steamers and automatic fish paste makers, how to prepare documents and register distribution permits. Partners prepare fish ingredients for the smoking process, provide a place for training and prepare training participants and demonstrations that will be carried out by the service team. The technological innovation of the automatic fish steamer produces a temperature of 90o with a time of 30 minutes to cook around 10 kg of fish. Meanwhile, the automatic fish paste maker produces a stable temperature of 70o with a paste cooking process for 3 hours

Abstract

Coffee production from 2020 to 2022 experienced fluctuations. In 2020, coffee production reached 762.38 thousand tons, increasing to 786.19 thousand tons in 2021, or a 3.12% rise. As coffee production increases, the amount of waste produced also rises. Coffee husks make up 48% of physical composition, consisting of 42% fruit skin and 6% bean skin. The proportion of coffee husk generated during processing is quite significant, ranging from 40-45%. Coffee husks contain 10.4% crude protein and 17.2% crude fiber. Coffee husks also contain phenolic compounds with antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. Coffee husk extract can inhibit hyaluronidase, presenting potential to reduce allergies and inflammation. Given its composition and benefits, our service team has developed a cascara tea product. The active compounds in cascara include 1.8-8.56% tannins, 6.5% pectin, 1.3% caffeine, 2.6% chlorogenic acid, 1.6% caffeic acid, and 43% total anthocyanins. The community service program was conducted from June to November 2024. The target audience for the program was the Teaching Factory for Coffee Product Processing. The results showed that knowledge among technicians and students in the pre-test phase was highest (40%) in recognizing coffee waste, environmental impact, and health benefits of cascara tea, while the lowest (30%) was in cascara tea production. Post-test results showed a 100% improvement in cascara tea production skills. These results indicate that more than 70% of technicians and students understood and were able to produce cascara tea

Abstract

The problem of road infrastructure and plastic waste management faced by Grogol Village does require innovative solutions such as training in the use of plastic waste to make paving blocks. By using plastic waste as a mixture in paving blocks, the village can reduce plastic waste and improve the quality of roads that are the main access for residents and tourists. The steps taken in making paving blocks through the stages of waste processing, preparation of tools and materials, to compressive strength testing after 28 days of treatment. . Test objects by mixing cement, water, sand and plastic shreds. The ratio used for the cement mixture with sand is 1: 2.75, with a paving size of 10x 20 x 6 cm in 1 variation of test objects. The test objects consist of 3 variations, namely normal paving, normal paving added with 0.25% and 0.50% plastic shreds. After the test objects are molded, they are then treated for 28 days to carry out compressive strength testing at the age of 28 days. Thus, this training not only provides environmental benefits through plastic waste management, but also improves the local economy and supports the development of more sustainable village infrastructure

Abstract

Inovasi pemanfaatan limbah cerutu sebagai produk sampingan oleh CV. Dwipa Nusantara bertujuan meningkatkan daya saing industri hasil tembakau di Jember. Program ini melibatkan berbagai metode, seperti pelatihan, studi kasus, riset dan pengembangan, serta pendampingan teknis. Hasilnya, limbah tembakau diolah menjadi produk bernilai tambah seperti rokok sigaret kretek tangan (SKT). Implementasi inovasi ini menciptakan peluang kerja baru, memberdayakan masyarakat lokal, dan mendukung ekonomi sirkular. Metode monitoring dan evaluasi diterapkan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan inovasi ini, dengan fokus pada peningkatan produktivitas dan efisiensi. Dampak program ini terlihat pada peningkatan keterampilan masyarakat, diversifikasi produk, dan pengurangan limbah lingkungan. Dengan pendekatan ini, CV. Dwipa Nusantara diharapkan mampu menjadi pionir dalam industri tembakau yang lebih modern dan berkelanjutan, sekaligus memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap ekonomi daerah Jember.

Abstract

The Sumber Kembang Farmers Group is a coffee producer located in Sukorambi District, Jember. The problems faced by partners are related to business management. The presence of workers at the agreed time is an absolute law for calculating worker honor. However, this is difficult to achieve if it is not supported by a good management information system. Therefore, the solution offered in this activity is the creation and training of a management information system in the form of a worker attendance application and an MS Access-based financial application. Furthermore, managers provide training regarding how to use management information systems and financial applications. The target achieved is to improve the business management of the Sumber Kembang Farmers Group. The output of this service activity is a service journal, online mass media articles, and videos of the service implementation.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini ditujukan kepada mitra usaha PT Tewil Indonesia Sejahtera Indonesia, sebuah PT di level UMKM yang memproduksi olahan berbahan dasar jamur tiram. Salah satu produk yang dikembangkan mitra adalah mie jamur tiram yang dipadukan dengan daun kelor. Mie jamur kelor mempunyai banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan dan juga dapat menjadi alternatif pengganti mie bagi masyarakat berkebutuhan khusus sehingga mempunyai prospek yang sangat baik untuk dikembangkan. Permasalahan mitra adalah dalam memproduksi mie jamur tiram kelor, masih belum menerapkan manajemen kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja dan sanitasi pengolahan produk secara optimal sehingga mitra memerlukan adanya pelatihan K3 dan sanitasi pengolahan produk, agar mie jamur kelor yang diproduksinya memiliki kualitas yang baik dan menyehatkan bagi yang mengkonsumsinya. Metode pelaksanaan dengan memberikan pelatihan K3 pada mitra, menerapkan hasil pelatihan dan melakukan evaluasi kegiatan. Kegiatan pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja karyawan dan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Kata kunci — keselamatan, kesehatan, pelatihan, sanitasi
