Abstract

Room air quality that does not meet the requirements is proportional to the number of germs in the room. Community Health Center are not only visited by sick people but also healthy people, so that puskesmas have the potential to become places for disease transmission. Mold is one of the microorganisms that can determine indoor air quality. The aim of this research is to determine air quality through the concentration of air mold, and the factors that influence the concentration of air mold in the waiting rooms of the Treatment and Non-Maintenance Health Centers. Waiting room air samples were taken at the Kassi-Kassi and Tamangapa non-care health centers using passive methods. Air samples were grown on SDA media. The results of this research were that there were 7 types of fungal isolates isolated from the Kassi-Kassi and Non-Care Health Centers in Tamangapa Makassar, namely: Aspergillus niger.,Aspergillus flavus.,Aspergillus nidulans.,Fusarium sp.,Rhizopus sp.,Saccharomyces sp.,and trichophyton rubrum. There was no significant difference in fungal concentrations in the waiting rooms of the Kassi-Kassi and Non-Care Tamangapa Makassar Health Centers. The average value of air mold concentration in the waiting room of the Kassi-Kassi Care Health Center has an average of 6.44 CFU/m3, while the Tamangapa Non-Care Health Center has an average of 6.44 CFU/m3, still below the maximum standard determined by WHO in 2009 regarding Mold and Dampness Indoor Air, namely less than 500 CFU/m3.

Abstract

Literacy in self-breast examination (SADARI) still lacks attention from the community. Urban women in marginal communities even have limited access to health information. As a result, early detection of breast cancer remains a significant challenge for them. This study aims to obtain an overview of SADARI literacy among urban women in marginal communities. The study was conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach with a random sampling technique. The respondents were 79 women from the Az Zahra fisherman community in Ujung Tanah District, Makassar. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire sheet and observations consisting of 20 questions. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics using Excel. The early cancer detection variables used are self-breast examination (SADARI) and clinical breast examination (SADANIS). The results of this study indicate that SADARI literacy among urban women in marginal communities is still low. There are five indicators measured in this study, with the results showing respondents who have a good understanding of the purpose of SADARI (27%), the benefits of SADARI (11%), how to perform SADARI (7%), the appropriate time to perform SADARI (13%), and the signs found and the appropriate time to perform SADANIS (23%). This research can be a reference for the government to promote the socialization of early breast cancer detection that reaches marginal communities.

Abstract

Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory disorder that occurs in the polysebaceous unit and is generally caused by infection with the bacterium Propionibacterium acnes. The role of these bacteria in the pathogenesis of acne is the basis for giving antimicrobials or antibiotics in the management of acne vulgaris therapy, both in topical and oral forms. This study aims to describe the frequency of use of oral antimicrobials in the treatment of acne vulgaris and to determine the accuracy of antibiotic selection based on the severity of acne at Toto Kabila General Hospital, Gorontalo. This type of research is an observational study with a descriptive design and data collection was carried out retrospectively using medical record sheets from patients diagnosed with acne vulgaris. The results showed that of the 6 cases, there were 3 types of oral antibiotics used in the management of acne vulgaris, namely clindamycin, doxycycline and amoxicillin. Oral antibiotic therapy was found to be used alone in 5 cases, consisting of clindamycin 33.3%, doxycycline 33.3%, and amoxicillin 16.7%. While the use of a combination of antibiotics was only found in 1 case, namely a combination of clindamycin and gentamicin cream of 16.7%. Based on these results, it concluded that antibiotic therapy given as monotherapy or a combination of antibiotics in this study is not appropriate because it has the potential for resistance and recommended that all health workers and families pay attention to the use of antibiotics.

Abstract

Nursing is an integral part of health services, so professional services are the final product of nursing care. The application of Evidence Based Practice in nursing care helps answer the needs and challenges of professional nurses in developing their independent care. Nursing professional students are change agents in the world of nursing to be able to change care for the better so that services become more optimal. The basis for implementing EBP is the education they had during academics, so this research aims to see a picture of students' knowledge and readiness in implementing EBPN at the maternity and pediatric stages. This research is quantitative descriptive, with a total sampling of 30 respondents, and has passed an ethical review and uses a knowledge and readiness questionnaire. The data analysis used is Univariate and the results of this research state that students' knowledge is still lacking (70%) and their readiness is still lacking (53.3% ). The Evidence Based Practice in Nursing course at the undergraduate nursing education level is very necessary to increase students' knowledge and readiness to become change agents, so in this course there are more tricks to make it easier for students to learn EBPN more easily and there are internal workshops for institutions to strengthen independent intervention nurses based on EBPN.

Abstract

Anemia is an important health problem throughout the world. Approximately 51% of pregnant women suffer from anemia twice as often as non-pregnant women. Anemia in pregnancy is those who have Hb levels <11 gr% in the first trimester and third trimester and Hb levels <10.50 gr%. Dates are a food that contains high energy with an ideal composition, containing carbohydrates, tryptophan, omega-3, vitamin C, vitamin B6, Ca2+,Zn, and Mg. Research design with Quasi Experimental non-Equivalent control group design. The research sample size was 15 pregnant women. The research results showed that the hemoglobin level before giving dates was the lowest 9 gr/dL and the highest 15 gr/dL. And the average is 10 gr/dL. Hemoglobin level values after giving dates were the lowest, 11.5 gr/dL, the lowest and the highest, 16 gr/dL. And the average is 13 gr/dL. The Shapiro-Wilk value is 0.039 < 0.05, so the data is not normal. Because the data was not normal, the test was continued with the non-parametric Wilcoxon test. Positive ranks 15 means that all 15 samples experienced an increase in HB from the previous value to the next value. Meanwhile, mean rank 8 is the average increase in HB. The positive number is 120,Ties 0 means there is no similarity in HB values before and after. This research concludes that there is an effect of giving dates on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women.

Abstract

One of the pharmacological therapies for anemia is giving Fe supplements every day, and non-pharmacological therapy by consuming foods high in iron and vitamin C such as red guava. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of giving a combination of fe tablets and red guava juice on increasing hemoglobin in pregnant women with mild anemia. This type of research is analytical with a Quasi Experimental Research design. The population in this study were pregnant women totaling 14 pregnant women. The research was conducted on the intervention group by giving Fe tablets and red guava juice, while the control group was only given Fe tablets. Giving 330 ml of red guava juice every day for 14 days with a composition of 100 ml of water, and 250 grams of red guava without sugar and sweetened condensed is given in the afternoon at 4.00 pm. The results of the research were that the average hemoglobin level before giving fe tablets was 10.08 gr/dL and after giving it was 10.55 gr/dL, before giving red guava juice and fe tablets it was 10.30 gr/dL and after giving red guava juice and fe tablets it was 11.18 gr/dL, p value = 0.036 (p < 0.05) with an average difference (Mean Difference) of 0.63 (11.18 – 10.55).There is a significant difference in hemoglobin levels after administering fe tablets accompanied by red guava juice towards increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. It is expected that pregnant women will consume red guava juice and fe tablets regularly so that they can increase Hb levels in pregnant women with anemia.
