Jurnal Auladuna merupakan jurnal pendidikan guru madrasah ibtidaiyah dikelola oleh Prodi PGMI Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Kegurua Institut Agama Islam Al-Falah As-sunniyyah Kencong. Jurnal Auladuna mencakup tentang pendidikan terutama dalam, kajian, aplikasi teori, hasil penelitian, dan pengajaran dalam bidang keilmuan ranah pendidikan dasar dalam program studi Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (PGMI) dan diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Jurnal ini terbit dua kali dalam setahun dan menjadi sarana bagi peneliti, akademisi, dan praktisi yang tertarik dengan kajian pendidikan dan pembelajaran dasar dan berkeinginan untuk menyalurkan pemikiran dan temuannya, terutama yang berkaitan dengan Kajian dalam bidang keilmuan di madrasah ibtidaiyah / sekolah dasar. Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes contextual teaching and learning (CTL) that is meaningful and applicable, yet its implementation can be hindered without Culturally Responsive Pedagogy (CRP). Textbooks, as primary learning media, play a strategic role in representing ethnic, religious, and gender diversity. Preliminary observation of Indonesian English textbooks indicated unequal representation, leading this study to address three research questions: (1) how ethnicity, religion, and gender are represented in the textbook, (2) to what extent these representations reinforce or challenge existing stereotypes, and (3) what implications they have for shaping students’ perceptions of diversity and equality. This study employed qualitative content analysis with a descriptive approach on My Next Words Grade 6 – Student’s Book for Elementary School (2022), focusing on Unit 8 “I Will Go to Dufan.” Findings reveal a gender imbalance, with male characters more dominant (61%) than female characters (39%), reflecting traditional stereotypes but also showing some inclusive portrayals. Hijab-wearing girls are actively represented, challenging passive stereotypes, while ethnic representation remains minimal, limited to cultural symbols. The study concludes that the textbook retains gender and ethnic bias despite progressive steps in religious and cultural aspects. Recommendations include enhancing female and minority ethnic representation, strengthening teachers’ critical literacy, and enforcing stricter curriculum policies on equity.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role of innovation management in the implementation of deep learning in the primary school curriculum through a literature review. The study examines relevant national and international literature, covering the concepts of deep learning, implementation challenges, and the integration of innovation management within the context of the Kurikulum Merdeka. The findings indicate that the successful implementation of deep learning is strongly influenced by teacher readiness, instructional leadership of school principals, curriculum innovation, professional development of teachers, collaboration among stakeholders, as well as the availability of resources and consistent policy support. Teachers with an open mindset toward innovation, digital literacy, and collaborative skills are able to implement meaningful and reflective learning. Furthermore, the integration of simple technology and the utilization of local resources support adaptive learning practices despite limited facilities. Based on these findings, this article recommends strategies to strengthen innovation management through transformational leadership, the establishment of teacher learning communities, digital technology integration, and cross-stakeholder synergy to enhance deep learning implementation in primary schools. This study contributes by emphasizing innovation management as a key factor in creating a systematic, adaptive, and sustainable learning ecosystem.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter merupakan aspek fundamental dalam membentuk peserta didik yang tidak hanya berprestasi secara akademik, tetapi juga memiliki akhlak mulia, disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan kepedulian sosial. Di sekolah dasar, pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) memiliki peran strategis sebagai wahana internalisasi nilai moral, sosial, budaya, dan kebangsaan. PKn tidak sekadar menyampaikan konsep tentang hak dan kewajiban warga negara, melainkan sarana membiasakan siswa untuk berpikir kritis, logis, serta mengambil keputusan berdasarkan nilai-nilai moral yang luhur. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui pembelajaran PKn dengan metode kajian literatur. Sumber data diperoleh dari delapan artikel, buku, dan penelitian relevan yang dipublikasikan antara tahun 1991 hingga 2025. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan pendidikan karakter dapat dicapai melalui berbagai strategi, di antaranya: (1) penerapan pembelajaran inovatif berbasis proyek, teknologi, dan kearifan lokal; (2) pengembangan budaya sekolah yang konsisten melalui kegiatan religius, literasi, pembiasaan disiplin, dan pemberian penghargaan; (3) integrasi nilai-nilai seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan kepedulian ke dalam kurikulum dan perangkat pembelajaran PKn; serta (4) keterlibatan aktif guru, orang tua, dan lingkungan sekitar sebagai faktor pendukung. Selain itu, penggunaan instrumen penilaian karakter memungkinkan guru untuk memantau perkembangan aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik siswa secara lebih terukur.penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui PKn harus dilakukan secara holistik, melibatkan pembelajaran inovatif, budaya sekolah, integrasi kurikulum, keteladanan guru, serta dukungan keluarga. Dengan demikian, sekolah dasar dapat melahirkan generasi yang cerdas, berkarakter, berempati, serta menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai Pancasila.

Abstract

The transformation of the role of Hindu religious education teachers at the elementary school level has become increasingly urgent in the face of 21st-century educational challenges. Teachers are no longer confined to the role of value instructors who merely deliver tattwa (philosophical teachings) and susila (ethics), but are also expected to serve as agents of character formation, internalizing the values of Dharma, Satya, Ksama, Ahimsa, Arjawa, and Daya in students’ daily lives. This study aims to analyze how Hindu religious education teachers in elementary schools are transforming from value transmitters into character agents, and to examine the implications for character education rooted in Hindu local wisdom. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review and curriculum policy document analysis, complemented by contextual inquiry into classroom pedagogical practices. The findings indicate that Hindu religious education teachers in elementary schools, particularly in Palangka Raya, hold a strategic role in shaping the moral foundations of students at the concrete operational stage of development. The transformation of teachers’ roles is characterized by: (1) the application of Tri Kaya Parisudha values as a model of ethical conduct, (2) the integration of Hindu religious teachings with character education in elementary schools, and (3) the strengthening of teachers’ roles as role models capable of addressing the challenges of globalization and digitalization. This study highlights that Hindu religious education teachers at the elementary level are key figures in character education and support national education policies that position character education as a top priority.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability of fifth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah to memorize short surahs of the Qur’an Hadith subject. Memorizing short surahs is a funtamental aspect of islamic education as it is closely related to daily worship and the development of students’ religius character. This reserch amployed a Classroom Action Reserch (CAR) apporach, carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and refklection. The subjesubjects werw 20 students who dad difficulties in memorizing and reciting qur’anic verses. The chain memoeization technique was implemented through repetitive group recitation and individual turns, fostering an interactive and collaborative learning environment. The result indicated a signivicant improvement and students’ memorization skills, with the class average increasing from 62,65 in the pre-cycle (66% mastery) to 75.65 in cycle I (76%) and 81,6 in cycle II (82%). In addition to quantitative gains, students also showed increased self-confidence, cocetration, and participation.The succes of this technique was akso supported by the teacher’s role as a ficilitator and parental involvement at home. Chain memorization proved to be effection and is recommended for regular use in Qur’anic learning at the elementary level.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Smart Box Literacy–based learning media and examine its effectiveness in improving the beginning reading skills of grade II students at SDN Rato, Lambu District. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg and Gall development model, which was modified into five stages: (1) preliminary study, (2) planning, (3) initial product development, (4) limited-scale trials, and (5) product revision. This study involved 18 grade II students as research subjects. The results show that the Smart Box Literacy media is valid and suitable for use in beginning reading instruction, with validation scores of 92% from media experts (very valid category) and 90% from material experts (very valid category). The effectiveness test using paired sample t-test statistical analysis indicated a significant increase in students’ average reading scores after using the media compared to before its use. Furthermore, both teachers and students gave highly positive responses to the media, noting that it was engaging, easy to use, and helpful in improving students’ reading comprehension. Therefore, Smart Box Literacy is declared effective and feasible to be used as an innovative, engaging, and relevant learning medium to enhance beginning reading skills at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The Society 5.0 era drives higher education institutions to transform through the utilization of advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deep learning approaches, in order to produce graduates who are both adaptive and globally competitive. This study aims to design and evaluate the effectiveness of an innovative learning model employing AI-based deep learning to enhance the extending knowledge of undergraduate students in the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) program at Universitas Sulawesi Barat. The primary focus is to examine how AI integration can strengthen students’ critical analysis, creativity, and digital collaboration skills. A mixed-methods approach with a convergent design was applied, where quantitative data were collected through surveys of more than half of the 2024 cohort (±100 students) and 15 lecturers, while qualitative data were obtained from semi-structured interviews and classroom observations. Survey findings reveal that AI integration in the learning process and the ease of technology access fall into the high category (means of 4.18 and 4.05, respectively), whereas AI support for personalized learning is rated moderate–high (mean 3.92). The implementation of AI significantly improved critical analysis (mean 4.22) and digital collaboration (mean 4.11), although student creativity remained moderate (mean 3.88) due to a tendency to rely on AI systems. Qualitative results corroborate the quantitative data, indicating increased active participation and student confidence, while also highlighting the need for pedagogical strategies to stimulate original ideas. Overall, the study concludes that an innovative learning design grounded in AI-based deep learning effectively broadens extending knowledge and fosters twenty-first-century competencies, offering implications for curriculum development, faculty training, and digital infrastructure. Future research is recommended to integrate project-based or inquiry-driven approaches to further optimize student creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of 21st-century skills (4C: critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration) with Islamic values in learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and library research method, the study reviews relevant national and international literature from 2020-2025 related to 4C development and Islamic education. Data were analyzed through content and thematic analysis to identify key concepts, strategies, and challenges in applying 4C within Islamic schools. The findings reveal that learning models such as STEM, Project-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning, and Quantum Learning effectively foster students’ critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. However, the integration of Islamic values such as amanah (trustworthiness), ta’awun (cooperation), ijtihad (creative effort), and tafakkur (reflection) remains underexplored. This study proposes a new conceptual framework, the 4C-Islamic Integration Model, combining 21st-century competencies with Qur’an-based values to promote holistic and character-based learning. Theoretically, it enriches the discourse of progressive Islamic education, while practically it offers guidance for teachers and policymakers to design creative, collaborative, and value-oriented learning in the digital era.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to analyze the effect of the TKN learning model assisted by digital comics on the understanding of Pancasila values among fourth-grade students at SDN 4 Banyuasri. This study is a quasi-experimental research using a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The independent variable in this study is the TKN learning model assisted by digital comics, while the dependent variable is the students' understanding of Pancasila values. The population, which also serves as the sample in this study, consists of 38 fourth-grade students at SDN 4 Banyuasri. The research consists of three stages: the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the final stage of the research. The data collection method used is the test method. The instrument used is an essay test related to the material on Pancasila values. The data analysis methods employed are quantitative descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using one-way ANOVA. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the TKN learning model assisted by digital comics on the understanding of Pancasila values among fourth-grade students at SDN 4 Banyuasri, with an F-value of 49.684 and a significance level of 0.000.

Abstract

Masalah pendidikan karakter dalam dunia pendidikan menjadi sangat penting bagi dunia pendidikan. Terkait dengan krisisnya karakter siswa, membuat resah para orangtua. Hal tersebut para orangtua ingin anaknya agar memiliki karakter yang kokoh dengan membentuk melalui karakter religius. Adapun fokus penelitian ini yaitu terbentuknya karakter religious siswa melalui kegiatan keagamaan Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian field research (penelitian lapangan). Adapun teknik penelitian yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data meliputi: wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan yaitu konsep pembentukan karakter religius siswa melalui kegiatan keagamaan diterapkan melalui memberikan pendampingan, memberi contoh, arahan, semangat pada anak. Strategi pembentukan karakter religius siswa melalui kegiatan keagamaan terdiri dari pemahaman, pembiasaan, dan keteladanan. Implikasi pembentukan karakter religius siswa melalui kegiatan keagamaan memperkuat keimanan siswa, berubahya karakter siswa ke arah yang baik serta berakhlakul karimah.
