Abstract

This community service activity was carried out based on the results of a needs analysis of the incidence of psychological problems at SMK 4 Pancasila Ambulu, Jember Regency. Guidance and Counseling (BK) revealed a total of 84 cases found during the first trimester in 2023, including conflicts with families, bullying among teenagers, academic stress, and interpersonal conflicts that led to psychological problems in students. This is faced with limited resources so that the range of handling of students' psychological problems is ineffective. Therefore, this community service aims to form agents of change who care about mental health to help deal with adolescent psychological problems through increasing the capacity of PMR cadres as peer counselors. The activities were carried out in several forms, including Instagram Live for a total of 2 (two) sessions with the topics of Variety of Adolescent Mental Disorders and Detection of Adolescent Mental Disorders, peer counselor training, as well as discussion forums and peer counselor role-play to equip cadres with the knowledge and skills to carry out their role as counselors. The results showed that the capacity of the cadres had significantly increased in knowledge and skills as peer counselors (ES = 1.54). Along with increased capacity as peer counselors, cadres are able to effectively carry out their role as agents of peer mental health care. The cadres have handled the psychological problems of students at SMK 4 Pancasila Ambulu under the supervision of a psychologist. The empowerment of PMR cadres as peer mental health agents also received support and commitment from the school by formally establishing peer mental health care agents. The activities carried out by peer mental health care agents are expected to continue consistently so as to fully support student well-being.

Abstract

In limited face-to-face learning, teachers and students must implement health protocols to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. However, implementing health protocols in schools as a new habit in the midst of a pandemic is certainly not easy. There are many reports related to the number of violations of health protocols in schools during face-to-face learning. Therefore, by innovating and utilizing existing technology in the 4.0 era can help us to detect social boundaries. The purpose of this service activity is so that teachers and students can learn YOLO-based computer vision technology at SMKN 4 Malang as a means of preventing the spread of Covid-19. In addition, teachers and students can also learn to make simple applications based on YOLO. This activity begins with the socialization of YOLO-based computer vision technology as a crowd detection tool to the school. Then the design and manufacture of crowd detection tools by the service team, training in making crowd detection applications, and ending with a discussion between the trainees and the service team. The results of the service show that this activity has succeeded in developing a crowd detection tool that can help calculate the number and distance of people who do not apply health protocols at SMKN 4 Malang. This tool makes it easier for schools to monitor the activities of school residents in implementing health protocols. This service activity is very useful and in demand by teachers and students. This is evidenced by the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the training of YOLO-based crowd detection tools.

Abstract

Kalikesek Hamlet is a highland, surrounded by the Ungaran mountain valley which has clear and abundant springs. Kalikesek Hamlet is located under a pine forest where there are quite a lot of sugar palm trees around the village. Due to the large number of palm trees, Kalikesek hamlet is known as Arenan Kalikesek. With so many sugar palm trees, Kalikesek hamlet is a center for producing lots of palm fruit. The abundance of palm fruit has actually become a problem for the local community. The processing of frond frond is still very simple, namely just boiling and soaking, so this fruit frond cannot last long. Most of the soaked palm fruit are only given as feed to livestock. The aim of this service is to assist SMEs in Kalikesek Hamlet, Limbangan District, Kendal Regency in processing fruit and fronds to increase selling value. This service method is carried out in 3 stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results of this activity resulted in that palm fruit which previously could only last 3-7 days when processed into packaged drinks could last 3-8 months. Palm fruit which is only used as food for livestock is now processed into products that can have high selling power. With the NHEZ branding, the appearance of kolang kaling drinks is easy for consumers and the market to remember, not just empty packaging without pictures and letters.

Abstract

Discourse on the utilization of medicinal plants, which have the potential to be made into liquid soap and balsam, is very much needed for SMA and SMK students as knowledge in doing entrepreneurship in developing pharmaceutical products. Therefore, community service activities (PKM) are needed to provide knowledge and skills regarding the manufacture of liquid soap from basil and balsam extracts from Eucalyptus oil. The purpose of this PKM activity is to provide knowledge, understanding, and skills regarding the procedures for making liquid soap from extracts of basil and balsam leaves from Eucalyptus oil. This PKM activity includes the planning stages, such as making socialization flyers, materials, and videos on making soap and balm from natural ingredients. The implementation stage of providing materials and simulations for SMA/K children in Bekasi City at the STIKes Mitra Keluarga Pharmaceuticals Laboratory, Bekasi. The Evaluation Stage is in the form of taking a response score on the use of liquid soap and balsam by the PKM participants. The results of this PKM showed that there were 26 SMA/SMK students in attendance in Bekasi City, with 84.61% of SMK students dominating the participants. The preferred product was Balsam Eucalyptus oil, especially in terms of aroma, texture, and warmth. This PKM concludes that participants have a new understanding of the use of basil leaves and Eucalyptus oil for making liquid soap and balsam. The product that the participants liked was balsam Eucalyptus oil compared to basil leaf extract liquid soap.

Abstract

The Swastika Karya Abadi Micro Business Unit (UMK), focusing on basic food trade in West Kalimantan, has been running for 5 years with conventional marketing. However, the product marketing method used by partners is still relatively passive because they only wait for buyers to come to the sales location. This article details community service activities carried out to improve understanding and skills in marketing products through digital media. The service activities carried out target the UMK Swastika's basic understanding of product marketing and introducing promotional strategies through digital media, as well as increasing partners' insight in carrying out graphic designs for products. The training was carried out by providing the team, preparing the place and tools, socializing the material and evaluating using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The material provided in the training is online marketing strategies using Facebook social media and the use of the Adobe Photoshop graphics application. Service activities proceed with successful planning and preparation stages with team members who understand their duties. The training carried out is also effective in increasing partners' understanding of digital marketing strategies. This can be seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test surveys carried out which show that partners are starting to be confident in designing graphic designs for their own products. Apart from that, socialization of online marketing strategies is also going well because partners have also succeeded in using paid advertising on Facebook to market their products. In other words, this service activity succeeded in increasing the understanding and digital marketing skills of UMK Swastika to support their business growth.

Abstract

Industrial development in Indonesia, which increases every year, has a significant impact on MSME players. MSME players must have characteristics that are different from other businesses. The Community Service Team assisted 1 MSME actor who has 2 types of business, namely Risoles & Catering, with the problem of not having a logo and an Instagram social media account to promote their products. The community service team provides assistance to MSME Risoles & Catering players with the aim of ensuring that MSME players can have a permanent logo and have an Instagram account as promotional media which has an impact on optimizing sales. In this service, there are 4 method stages. The stages used are the Observation, Implementation, Supervision and Evaluation stages. At this stage, this method becomes a supporting factor for continuity in the service that will be carried out. The results of this assistance ran smoothly and had a positive impact on the MSME Catering and Risol players. Both types of MSMEs already have a permanent logo which is the characteristic of their products for the continuity of product sales, have official Instagram social media accounts @Cateringmak_ and @Risolmak_. Users of the @Cateringmak_ and @Risolmak_ accounts already have less than 50 followers per account, which can be assessed by the outside public as knowing the products sold by both types of MSMEs. Both MSMEs already have Instagram feed designs as promotional media that have an impact on optimizing sales through social media. The conclusion from community service is that promotion of Instagram social media and logos is one of the keys to optimizing sales of MSME products.

Abstract

Online marketing is a marketing process where transactions are carried out online through electronic media such as cellphones, tablets or laptops. Online marketing can be done with various applications, one of which is the Instagram application which is a social media application included in digital media. Instagram can be used for many things, in addition to posting photos Instagram can also be used as a free promotional media that can brand products to be better known by the public. But even though Instagram can be a promotional media. There are still many people who do not know how to use Instagram optimally, especially home industry owners who are still unfamiliar with online things. Therefore, a mentoring activity is needed to explain and also guide home industry players to be able to use online marketing using Instagram. The purpose of this activity is to help hany collection to rebrand Instagram social media accounts so that products are better known by consumers. By holding this mentoring activity, it is hoped that home industry players can be more effective and also creative in running a business to expand the market and can make good use of existing technology. The results of this activity produce positive values where through the activities carried out participants can use Instagram social media to promote and post products that are sold. And also can make Instagram feeds, product photos and logos more attractive. That way the quality of the home industry in Banjar Panji village can improve better and is expected to have good progress from day to day.

Abstract

Villages are a part of the Indonesian government that has a strategic role and function to assist the country's development. Despite this, many villages still face many problems related to public services, village financial management, low community participation in development, and a lack of legal understanding of good village management and governance according to applicable regulations, one of which is O'A Mate Village. To enable villages to develop and provide much better services to the community, efforts are needed to improve the capacity of village officials. This capacity building training for village officials was conducted in O'A Mate Village, Northwest Alor Sub-District, Alor Regency, and aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of village officials in the management of village governance and development, especially related to Law No. 6/2014 on Villages and the value of having good behavior. This community service activity was carried out in O'A Mate Village, Northwest Alor District, Alor Regency. The method used in this socialization is by means of face-to-face / lecture, discussion or in-depth dialogue about the material that has been presented with the participants. During the socialization, participants were quite active in asking questions about the material presented by the resource person. This was shown by active discussions and questions and answers between participants and resource persons. According to some participants, this activity showed that they had gained knowledge and understanding of the importance of increasing the capacity of village officials in carrying out their duties and responsibilities as village officials in accordance with Law No. 6/2014 on Villages. The participants acknowledged that the material presented by the service to society team was new and had never been heard or known by the community about the value of BeRAKHLAK in performing services as village officials. Finally, the service to society team can conduct socialization to improve the insights, knowledge and skills of village officials on how to manage village governance and development in a better way.

Abstract

Insufficient knowledge regarding hydration, posture, and ergonomic work practices can potentially lead to dehydration and lower back pain among female farmers in Karanganyar. This community service activity focuses on providing education to address these issues. The program aims to educate female farmers on the importance of adequate hydration, maintaining good posture, and performing stretching exercises to prevent dehydration and lower back pain, ultimately promoting their overall health and well-being. This extension activity aims to enhance female farmers' knowledge and understanding regarding the importance of drinking sufficient water, maintaining good posture, and performing stretching exercises. By improving their knowledge and habits, it is expected that female farmers can prevent dehydration and lower back pain. The extension activity was conducted using a combination of lecture, demonstration, and question-and-answer methods. The materials were developed based on a literature review, consultation with a doctor, and considering the participants' educational level. The evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test. The follow-up activities of this extension include providing information, submitting data to the Puskesmas (Community Health Center), and reactivating the Pos UKK (Health Promotion Post). A Self-Awareness Survey revealed high-risk hazards among female farmers, including exposure to extreme weather (heat) which poses a risk of dehydration, and repetitive work movements that potentially lead to lower back pain. This extension activity aimed to improve participants' understanding of the importance of drinking water, maintaining good posture, and performing stretching exercises. The participants' understanding scores increased from an average of 70.5 to 82.5, and this increase was statistically significant (p < 0.05). As a follow-up, the community service team provided posters on dehydration prevention and congratulated the Putri Mandiri Karanganyar female farmer group on the reactivation of their UKK Pos activities. Extension activity on dehydration and lower back pain among female farmers of the Putri Mandiri Karanganyar group effectively improved their understanding (p < 0.05).

Abstract

Daun sereh (Cymbopogon citratus) mengandung Alkaloid, Flavonoid, dan beberapa monoterpene. Zat-zat ini berfungsi sebagai antimikrobial. Penggunaan hand sanitizer dengan kandungan alkohol ini digunakan secara terus menerus akan mengakibatkan terjadinya iritasi pada kulit dan mendehidrasi kulit. Oleh sebab itu perlu diupayakan untuk mengurangi penggunaan handsanitizer dengan kandungan alkohol ini dengan mengggunakan bahan alam. Senyawa ini dapat di peroleh dari tanaman yang mengandung sifat antiseptic yaitu daun sereh dan kulit jeruk nipis. Kegiatan ini bertujuan menerapkan hasil penelitian dibidang ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi kesehatan terutama dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam pemanfaatan sereh dan jeruk nipis serta mengetahui proses pembuatan hand sanitizer dari sereh dengan campuran jeruk nipis. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). pendekatan yang mengarah pada pemahaman dan internalisasi asset, kekuatan, potensi dan pendayagunaan secara mandiri dan maksimal. Meningkatnya pengetahuan kepada 51 santri mengenai manfaat Hand Sanitizer dari sereh dengan campuran jeruk nipis untuk higiene dan proses pembuatan Hand Sanitizer dari sereh dengan campuran jeruk nipis, menunjukan adanya peningkatan rata-rata nilai pengetahuan post test dengan pre test penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Nilai rata-rata pre test penyuluhan dan pelatihan adalah 53,73, sedangkan post test penyuluhan dan pelatihan adalah 87,25. Serta Terdapat santri yang mengaplikasikan pembuatan Hand Sanitizer dari sereh dengan campuran jeruk nipis untuk usaha dalam meningkatkan perekonomian keluarga. Meningkatnya pengetahuan kepada 51 santri mengenai manfaat Hand Sanitizer dan terdapat santri yang mengaplikasikan pembuatan Hand Sanitizer dari sereh dengan campuran jeruk nipis untuk usaha dalam meningkatkan perekonomian keluarga.
