Abstract

THE LEGAL STATUS OF USING FACE FILTERS AND VIRTUAL IDENTITIES IN CONTEMPORARY FIQHDigital technology has introduced new forms of social interaction, including the use of face filters and virtual identity representation. Previous studies have mainly focused on the general impact of social media, but have not comprehensively examined the legal and ethical aspects of face filter usage and virtual identities within contemporary Islamic jurisprudence. This study aims to explore the phenomenon of virtual identity, review fiqh perspectives on digitally modified appearances, and analyze ethical concerns related to honesty and identity deception. The research applied a qualitative literature-based method with descriptive analysis. The findings show that the use of face filters is conditionally permissible: it is acceptable as long as it does not lead to deception, moral degradation, or harm; and prohibited when it alters identity to the point of deception, causing social harm or violating Islamic principles of honesty. This study highlights the importance of digital ethics and moral awareness in responsibly utilizing modern technological tools.

Abstract

ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS' ERRORS IN INTERPRETING CONVERSATIONAL IMPLICATIONS IN CONTEMPORARY DIALOGUE TEXTS AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR PRAGMATIC LEARNING Abstract. This study aims to identify and analyze in depth the types of errors made by Indonesian Language Education students in interpreting conversational implicatures in contemporary dialogues. Implicature, as an implied meaning arising from the violation of Grice's Cooperative Principle, is not merely a theoretical concept, but a crucial competency that determines the success of authentic communication and is a primary prerequisite for prospective effective language teachers. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through the Conversational Implicature Interpretation Test (T-IIP) taken by 60 sixth-semester students. This test, consisting of 20 authentic dialogue items from social media, films, and interviews, was designed not only to measure interpretation skills, but also students' ability to identify violated maxims and provide contextual justification for their interpretations. The results showed a significant level of interpretation errors, amounting to 48.75% of the total 1,200 responses. The most dominant type of error occurred in the interpretation of the Maxim of Quality (58.33%), especially in irony and sarcasm, followed by errors in the Maxim of Relevance (55.00%). The root of these errors lies in a lack of contextual awareness (socio-pragmatic awareness) and a shallow understanding of pragmatic inference processes. The implications of these findings serve as a strong call for a reformulation of pragmatics learning, emphasizing the need for a paradigm shift from decontextualized theoretical approaches to authentic case-based analysis that focuses on sociopragmatic contexts, integrating contemporary dialogue and cooperative learning models to enhance students' pragmatic awareness. Abstract

DEVELOPMENT OF PARAGRAPH CARD MEDIA USING CIRC MODEL FOR READING COMPREHENSION SKILLSOF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTSThis study aims to describe the development of paragraph card media based on the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model to enhance fifth-grade students’ reading comprehension at SDN Nyapah 2. The study used a Research and Development (RD) approach with the ADDIE model, including Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through expert validation and reading comprehension tests. The developed media were interactive, visually appealing, and aligned with learning objectives. Results showed high feasibility in content and design, with students achieving an average score of 82.46 and a mastery rate of 93.10%. The media effectively guided students in identifying main ideas, understanding sentence relationships, and structuring paragraphs cooperatively.

Abstract

Public Data Leakage and IT Ethics in Cyber Governance and Resilience BPJS-PDN 2024 Digital transformation in Indonesia’s public service sector faces significant challenges related to data security and IT professional ethics. This study compares cybersecurity governance and cyber resilience in two major public data breach incidents: BPJS Kesehatan (2021) and the National Data Center/PDN (2024), while examining the application of IT professional ethics. Using a qualitative comparative approach through literature review of official reports and scientific publications from the last five years, the findings show shared weaknesses in both incidents, including limited backup systems, weak vendor oversight, and low ethical awareness. BPJS Kesehatan demonstrates stronger governance and better coordination with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), whereas PDN shows weak mitigation efforts and limited public accountability. The study concludes that strengthening IT professional ethics, improving cybersecurity governance, and establishing an independent oversight body to ensure consistent implementation of the Personal Data Protection Law are essential for enhancing national cyber resilience.

Abstract

ANALYSIS OF THE QUALITY OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION THROUGH THE LENS OF THE TRANSCENDENCE THEORY OF VIKTOR FRANKL: SEARCHING FOR THE MEANING OF QUALITY BEYOND ACCREDITATION STANDARDSThe quality of Islamic education has tended to be understood narrowly through administrative indicators and formal accreditation achievements, while the dimensions of meaning, values, and transcendental goals of education have not been a primary concern. The dominance of the managerial-technocratic paradigm has resulted in quality assessments being more oriented towards documents, standards, and academic achievements, resulting in a lack of systematic measurement of meaningful learning experiences and the internalization of students' spiritual values. This study aims to analyze the quality of Islamic education through the perspective of Viktor Frankl's transcendence theory, emphasizing the meaning of life, moral responsibility, and spiritual awareness as the core of educational quality. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method at SMK Darussalam Blokagung. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model. The results indicate a gap between administrative quality and substantive quality of education. Although the school has met formal accreditation standards, learning is still oriented towards academic and administrative targets, with minimal integration of transcendental values into learning practices. This study finds that Viktor Frankl's theory of transcendence has strategic potential for reconstructing a more holistic concept of Islamic education quality, by integrating formal standards and meaningful learning experiences. Thus, the quality of Islamic education is measured not only by compliance with accreditation standards but also by the success of education in shaping spiritually and morally meaningful individuals.

Abstract

THE ROLE OF TEACHERS IN HANDLING SPEAKING DELAYS IN CHILDREN AGED 5-6 YEARS: A CASE STUDY AT RA BUNDA AZ-ZAHRA This study aims to describe the role of teachers in addressing speech delay among children aged 5–6 years at RA Bunda Az-Zahra using a descriptive qualitative approach. Early childhood is a critical developmental period, particularly in language acquisition, which forms the foundation for communication, social interaction, and cognitive growth. Within this context, teachers play an essential role in providing appropriate stimulation to support language development, especially for children who experience delays in speech. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with two homeroom teachers, and documentation of the progress of HA, the primary subject of this study. The findings reveal that teachers perform five key roles: facilitator, motivator, guide, mediator, and evaluator. Teachers utilize simple classroom media such as pictures, thematic books, songs, and learning tools to stimulate verbal expression. Praise, repeated instructions, and verbal modeling serve as primary strategies in motivating and guiding the child. Teachers also mediate social interactions and conduct observational assessments to monitor language progress. Although the school does not provide specialized facilities or formal intervention programs, the teachers’ adaptive and consistent strategies contribute positively to improving the child's speaking ability. This study highlights the importance of teachers’ involvement in early intervention for children with speech delay through communicative, supportive, and continuous instructional approaches.

Abstract

Application of Collaborative Learning Model in Class XI PPKN Learning at Smk Ma'arif SukaweningThis research aims to investigate the role of the collaborative learning approach in enhancing students’ critical thinking abilities in Civics Education (PPKn) at SMK Ma’arif Sukawening. A quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group design was utilized, measuring students’ critical thinking through pretest and posttest assessments encompassing analysis, evaluation, and drawing conclusions. The application of collaborative learning was monitored through the stages of planning, implementation, and assessment, involving group discussions, Think-Pair-Share techniques, and group inquiry exercises. The results reveal that students in the experimental group showed a more substantial improvement in critical thinking compared to those in the control group, as evidenced by higher N-Gain values and statistically significant differences in posttest scores. Collaborative learning promoted active engagement, the exchange of ideas, and collective problem-solving, allowing students to advance their reasoning skills more systematically. These findings validate the efficacy of collaborative learning in fostering higher-order thinking skills among vocational students in Civics Education.

Abstract

DEPARTMENT OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION MANAGEMENT, GRADUATE PROGRAM, UNIVERSITAS ISLAM NAHDLATUL ULAMA JEPARA, JEPARA, CENTRAL JAVA, INDONESIAThis study aims to analyze the implementation of a Total Quality Management (TQM) based education management system at MTs Miftahul Huda Dongos, Jepara. The institution has made significant efforts to realize its vision of “Developing a Generation that Is Religiously Devout and Competent in Science and Technology.” TQM, as a management philosophy that emphasizes continuous improvement and stakeholder satisfaction, is considered relevant for enhancing the overall quality of madrasah education. Using a case study approach, the findings indicate that TQM is implemented through quality planning aligned with the institutional vision, transformational democratic leadership of the principal, Mr. Arif Nashiruddin, M.Pd., a dual focus on the quality of educational processes (religiosity and science and technology), and continuous improvement mechanisms in teaching and learning activities. The implementation of TQM is further strengthened by a participatory organizational culture and the integration of Islamic values.

Abstract

EDUCATIONAL MARKETING MANAGEMENT IN INCREASING STUDENT INTEREST IN MTs PANGERAN DIPONEGORO The increasingly competitive world of education demands every educational institution to have effective educational marketing management. MTs Pangeran Diponegoro is one of the educational institutions that actively implements marketing management to increase student interest. This study aims to describe educational marketing management and its impact on increasing student interest at MTs Pangeran Diponegoro. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of parties such as the principal of the madrasah, the Deputy Head of Curriculum, the PPDB team, and students. Data analysis is carried out through the data reduction stage to compile relevant information, and emphasizes the core of educational marketing management, presentation of data presented in narrative form, drawing conclusions and verification. Triangulation techniques to ensure the validity of the data. The results of the study show that educational marketing management is carried out through: 1) educational marketing planning is carried out by determining the target market, developing educational marketing strategies to be carried out and designing superior programs from the madrasah; 2) organizing is carried out by forming a promotion team; 3) Promotion is carried out through various media, such as brochures, social media, open house activities, and outreach to elementary schools. 4) Marketing strategy evaluations are conducted periodically to ensure the program's relevance to community needs.

Abstract

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN OVERCOMING THE SHORTAGE OF UMMI METHOD TEACHERS BASED ON MOTHER-TONGUE APPROACH AT MI AL ISHLAH BOBOS CIREBON This study aims to describe the managerial strategies implemented by MI Al-Ishlah Bobos Cirebon, in overcoming the shortage of human resources (HR) of teachers in the implementation of the mother tongue-based Ummi Method at MI Al-Ishlah Bobos Cirebon. The results of our observations and data collection on the implementation of the mother tongue-based Ummi method show various phenomena that occur. Among these phenomena, we take one of the phenomena, namely the limited number of teachers certified by the Ummi Method and the low ability of some teachers in implementing the principles of talaqqi and tartil, resulting in less than optimal learning of the Ummi method at MI Al-Ishlah Bobos Cirebon. The Ummi method was chosen because it emphasizes a mother tongue approach, direct reading, repetition, and affection, which are believed to improve students' reading skills. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the institution implemented several managerial strategies, namely: (1) mentor-based internal training; (2) mentoring by the Ummi Foundation in the Cirebon region; (3) recruitment of local mother tongue teachers; (4) integration of mother tongue in Qur'an learning; and (5) routine coaching. These strategies have proven effective in improving teacher competence and the quality of students' Qur'an recitation. These findings indicate that the use of mother tongue can be a contextual solution in managing Qur'an learning in Islamic madrasas, especially when faced with limited human resources.
