Abstract

This study aims to 1) identify and describe the role of the principal in managing elementary school education. 2) knowing the factors that support and inhibit the improvement of the quality of elementary school education at SD N in Way Lima, Pesawaran Regency. Draft research used is descriptive qualitative. Using sheets interviews with 3 informants, namely the principal, deputy principal and teacher, as well as observation sheets were used to determine school facilities and infrastructure. From the results of the study it can be concluded that in improving the quality of education the principal performs his role as 1) educator. 2) managers. 3) administrators. 4) supervisors. 5) leader. 6) an innovator and 7) a good motivator, the school principal provides sanctions according to existing regulations, and regulates the implementation of an adequate work atmosphere. Based on the results of interviews, observations and documentation obtained, the school principal can be said to have carried out his role properly good.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan sekolah terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi di kelas IVB SDN Pahlawan. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Adapun desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu one group pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVB SDN Pahlawan dengan jumlah 19 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik jenuh, sehingga sampel berjumlah 19 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilakukan dengan taraf signifikansi 5%, didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 yang berarti nilai Sig. (2-tailed) lebih kecil dari alfa (0,05) dan t hitung > dari t tabel yaitu 9,289 > 2,101, maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian dapat dibuktikan bahwa lingkungan sekolah memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi di kelas IVB SDN Pahlawan.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the activity of teacher and students, while also examining enhancements improvements in problem-solving skills and student learning outcomes using a PRIMER learning models and KARBO media. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) and uses qualitative and quantitative methods. The participants in the research were carried out in 5th grade of SDN Belitung Utara 1 with an overall 27 students in the 2023/2024 school year. Data analysis in this research employed qualitative descriptive analysis techniques and cross tabulation, explained with tables, pictures and interpretation with percentages. The outcomes of this research show that the teacher’s activity was rated as 36 based on the criteria “Very Good”, classical student activity reached 93% with the criteria “Very Active”, classical problem-solving skills reached 96% with “Very Skilled” criteria, and student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain clasically reached 96%, clasically the affective domain reached 100%, and clasically the psychomotor domain reached 100%. Based on the findings, it can be inferred that the PRIMER learning model and KARBO media can enhance student activity, problem-solving skills, and student learning achievement.

Abstract

The problems in the research focus on low student understanding, limited learning experience, lack of student cooperation, and lack of interest in learning science content in class IV SDN Belitung Utara 1. These problems are caused by a one-way learning approach, lack of use of models. learning that encourages the development of students' collaboration skills, as well as a lack of variety in the presentation of material which results in less interesting and enjoyable learning. Efforts to solve this problem are conducted utilize Problem Based Learning (PBL), Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK), then Talking Stick models. The aim of this look for is to upgrade student activity, collaboration skills, and their learning outcomes. This research used the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method which was carried out in four meetings. Data was collected through observing activities by teachers and students and student collaboration skills, which were then analyzed using descriptive analysis and cross tabulation techniques to produce tables, figures and interpretations based on percentages.According to the research findings, instructor activity increased from a score of 25 at the first meeting to a score of 35 at the fourth. Student activity also increased significantly from 17% at the initial meeting to 94%, with the criteria being very active. Students' collaboration skills increased from 28% to 100% over four meetings, with very skilled criteria. The criteria for achieving student learning objectives also increased from 22% to 94%. It is possible to draw the conclusion that the application of the model Problem Based Learning (PBL), Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK), then Talking Stick effective in increasing student activity, collaboration skills, and their learning outcomes in science learning in class IV at SDN Belitung Utara 1.

Abstract

Pendekatan pembelajaran yang sering digunakan oleh guru di dalam kelas lebih cenderung menggunakan pembelajaran biasa, sehingga siswa sangat sedikit diberikan kesempatan untuk mengaktualisasikan kemampuan menalar dan mengrepresantasikan masalah dalam soal matematika. Kemampuan penalaran dan representasi merupakan kemampuan yang dibutuhkan siswa dalam belajar matematika, untuk mendapatkan hasil belajar siswa menjadi optimal. Oleh karena itu, guru dapat memilih dan menerapkan suatu pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan penalaran dan kemampuan representasikan siswa. Penelitian ini menerapkan pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan Open-Ended. Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat efektif meningkatkan penalaran dan kemampuan representasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan penalaran dan kemampuan siswa melalui pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan Open-Ended, untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan penalaran dan kemampuan representai siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan Open-Ended dan pembelajaran matematika biasa, dan respon siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan Open-Ended. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMK. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dipilih secara acak dua kelas untuk dijadikan kelas eksprimen dan kontrol. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pretest dan postest sehingga dapat dilihat perbedaan kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan representasi dua kelas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan representasi siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran matematika dengan Open-Ended lebih baik. Dan secara pengolahan data dengan taraf 5% kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan representasi siswa kelas eksperimen, yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Open-Ended lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran biasa, dengan rata-rata kelas eksperimen 33,79 dan kelas kontrol 29,07. Dari hasil angket dapat disimpulkan bahwa respon siswa sangat positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan Open-Ended. Dengan demikian pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan Open-Ended dapat dijadikan suatu alternatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan representasi siswa.

Abstract

The background that drives this research is the low student learning outcomes. This is because teachers still use conventional methods such as lectures and in learning rarely use media, this causes students to be less active in participating in learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model Aided by Audio Visual Media and Concrete Objects on Student Learning Outcomes Theme 6 Heat and its Transfer Subtheme 3 Effect of Heat on Life for Grade 5 Students at SDN 6 Bangsri. This type of research is quantitative research in the form of Pre-Experimental Designs with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The samples taken were 28 fifth grade students of SDN 6 Bangsri using the Nonprobability Sampling technique. The data in this study were obtained through tests, observations, interviews and documentation. The results of the study after receiving treatment showed an increase in student learning outcomes which can be seen from the results of the pretest and posttest. The pretest was 57,14286 and the posttest average value was 78,85714. The initial learning mastery was 25% to 91%, so the learning mastery increased. This is evidenced by the obtained tcount of Pretest equal to, tcount = 7.5474 and to find out ttable with a significant t value of 5% obtained ttable of 1.701. So the value of tcount > ttable which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Pentingnya literasi dalam pendidikan menjadi fokus utama yang harus dicapai oleh institusi pendidikan. Literasi mencakup kemampuan membaca, menulis, memahami, menganalisis, dan menggunakan informasi. Namun, tingkat literasi siswa di Indonesia, khususnya di Sekolah Dasar, masih perlu ditingkatkan. Observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa literasi siswa kelas II SD Negeri Pedurungan Lor 02 tergolong rendah, ditunjukkan oleh kemampuan membaca dan pemahaman bacaan yang kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi siswa kelas II SD Negeri Pedurungan Lor 02 melalui implementasi model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media Papan Hobi (PANBI). Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus: perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes literasi, observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam literasi siswa setelah pembelajaran dengan model PBL berbantuan media PANBI. Pada siklus pertama, presentase literasi siswa meningkat dari 20% menjadi 57%, dan pada siklus kedua meningkat lagi menjadi 89%. Siswa juga menunjukkan peningkatan dalam pemahaman bacaan, kemampuan analisis, dan penggunaan informasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan implementasi model PBL berbantuan media PANBI efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi siswa kelas II SD Negeri Pedurungan Lor 02. Untuk penelitian dan pembelajaran selanjutnya, disarankan untuk memperluas penggunaan model PBL ini pada mata pelajaran lain dan jenjang kelas berbeda. Guru juga diharapkan terus mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif untuk mendukung peningkatan literasi siswa secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam upaya peningkatan literasi di tingkat sekolah dasar dan menunjukkan bahwa dengan pendekatan yang tepat, tantangan dalam literasi dapat diatasi.

Abstract

Word wall is one of the learning media in the form of games that are fun and can make students enthusiastic when learning. This research aims to determine the effect of word wall game towards speaking skill at seventh grade of SMPN 10 TEBO. The method used in this research is an experimental method with a quantitative approach, namely using a non-equivalent control group quasi experimental design. Then the researcher measured the abilities of the experimental class and control class to compare the two groups, who received the same material but had different teaching methods. The data collection instruments for speaking ability were in the form of a pretest and post-test. Data collection analysis using the normality test obtained 0,015>0,05, then the N-Gain score obtained in the experimental class was 54%, which means it can be concluded that the influence of the word wall game is quite effective in leaning to speak. Meanwhile, in the control class 33% was obtained, which means that conventional based teaching was less effective, and it can be concluded that there are differences and influences of the word wall game on students’ speaking abilities in the experimental class and the control class at SMPN 10 TEBO. Abstract

This research discusses analysis which aims to determne the use of think pair share strategy to improve students’ speaking skills. The subjects of this research were eight grade students at UPT SMPN 1 Sitiung for the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research was carried out in two classes, the experimental class and control class. The population of this study were eight grade student at UPT SMPN 1 Sitiung and the sample was VIII B consisting of 29 students as the experimental class and class VIII A consisting of 29 students as the control class. The instrument used in this research was a test. this test is given in the from of an initial test and a final test. the result of this research show that there is an influence oh Think-Pair-Share on student’ speaking skill abilities. This is supported by the results of students’ speaking ability scores in the experimental class, namely 77.75, while in the control class it was 66.89, Furrthermore, based on the results of the analysis of data collection using the normality test, a post test experiment value of 0.015 > 0.05 was obtained. Based on these results, it can be conluded that there is an influence of using Think-Pair-Share to teach students’ speaking skills at the junior high level, especially UPT SMPN 1 Sitiung.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of variety in learning media used in the learning process. Therefore, learning media is needed that is tailored to students' preferences. One of them is the development of Powtoon video media in science learning. This research aims to produce learning media in the form of animated videos for science and science learning in Class V Elementary Schools that are valid and practical. This research is Research & Development research, the development model used is the ADDIE model. The ADDIE development model consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. This research was conducted at SDN SDN 02 Campago Guguk Bulek and SDN 17 Manggis Ganting. The designed media is validated by validators using a validation sheet in the form of a questionnaire. This product validation consists of material experts, language experts and media experts. Then it was tested in Class V at SDN 02 Campago Guguk Bulek and SDN 17 Manggis Ganting to find out the practicality of the media being developed. The research results showed that learning media had a media validity level of 82.5%, material validity of 86.25%, and linguistic validity of 91% in the very valid category. The practicality test results of teacher responses received an average score of 92% and the practicality score of students received an average score of 94% in the very practical category. Thus, it can be concluded that the learning media in the form of animated powtoon videos for science and science learning in Class V Elementary School has been declared valid and practical.
