Abstract

This study investigates the potential of ChatGPT, an Artificial Intelligence (AI), to transform teacher competence and lesson design in a junior high school setting in Lhokseumawe, Indonesia. A quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design was employed with 25 junior high school teachers from Ihyaaussunnah, Lhokseumawe, Aceh. These teachers were asked to utilize ChatGPT for various pedagogical tasks, including lesson planning, assessment design, and content creation. Pre- and post-test questionnaires assessed changes in teacher competence, while a rubric was used to evaluate the quality of lesson modules designed with ChatGPT. Results revealed significant improvements in all measured aspects of teacher competence, including pedagogical knowledge, technological proficiency, and confidence in using ChatGPT for instructional purposes. Lesson modules created with ChatGPT were rated highly across all evaluation criteria, indicating their effectiveness and alignment with modern pedagogical approaches. Qualitative feedback from teachers highlighted the time-saving benefits of ChatGPT, its ability to enhance creativity and personalize learning experiences, and its potential to spark new pedagogical approaches. However, some teachers reported initial challenges in formulating effective prompts and emphasized the need for ongoing support and training. This study provides valuable insights into the potential of ChatGPT to empower teachers and improve instructional design. However, the small sample size and context-specific nature of the findings limit generalizability. Further research is needed to explore the long-term impact of ChatGPT on teacher competence and student learning outcomes in diverse educational settings.

Abstract

Writing news text is a part of language skills that are considered difficult, influenced by internal and external factors. Therefore, a creative and innovative learning model is needed that can motivate and encourage children to write, think critically, and investigate issues when creating news articles. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) and Think Talk Write (TTW) methods in developing news text writing skills in grade VII students. An experiment is the technique employed through a nonequivalent control group design, involving two groups: experimental and control. Information was gathered from news text writing tests in the form of descriptive questions (pre-test and post-test) then analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that in the control class (TTW), the mean score of students reached 75.33 with a standard deviation of 7.89; as many as 83.33% of students achieved the passing grade. In the experimental class (CIRC), the average score reached 79.00 with a standard deviation of 6.49, and 96.64% of students achieved the passing grade. Thus, the TTW and CIRC models are equally effective in improving news text writing skills, but CIRC is more optimal. Further it is advised to do research to increase the sample size and explore the effect of duration and frequency of application of this model on other language skills or different levels of education.

Abstract

This research is entitled “The Relevance of Ibn Khaldun's Thought in History Learning” as for the background of taking the title is Ibn Khaldun is a great scientist figure from Islamic civilization who has great thoughts, especially in history. The purpose of this study is to find out what is the relevance of Ibn Khaldun's thinking in learning history. The research method used by the author is library research (liberary reaseach) by reviewing written sources in the form of journals, books, articles and others related to Ibn Khaldun's thoughts in education using a qualitative approach. This research was conducted on scientific articles in 2014-2023 data obtained from Google Schoolar, Elsiver, and Science Direct articles relevant to the research question. After going through a screening process based on criteria and quality, 15 articles were obtained that qualified to answer the research questions. bstract english version, written using Time New Roman 11pt, italic. Abstract

This best practice aims to describe the use of Si Mama as an interactive learning media for Communication Social Mobility Orientation (OMSK) which has an impact on increasing the independence of students with special needs. Si Mama is an acronym for Siap Mandiri Bersama. Si Mama is a medium created by the author himself to help blind students increase their independence. Si Mama is implemented in the OMSK class IX at SLB Negeri 1 Bantul. The method for writing best practices uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The stages in this best practice activity consist of the preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. The author gave a questionnaire to students regarding the evaluation of the use of Si Mama which was then analyzed and used as a basis for determining conclusions. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it is known that there is an increase in the independence of blind students in learning OMSK using the interactive learning media Si Mama. Previous students had less independence and less interactive learning. The needs and abilities for independence in one class. Students who had independence before using Si Mama media were only 48 to 75, using five indicators for very poor, less, sufficient, good and very good (independent). Based on these indicators, it is known that students independence using Si Mama can increase. Thus, it can be concluded that Si Mama is an interactive learning media that can increase the independence of students with special needs.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship plays a dominant role in driving the wheels of the economy both on a local, regional and global scale. The aim of this research is to reveal people's economic education in instilling entrepreneurial values ​​through economic education in society. This research uses the literature study method. The research results show that entrepreneurs who are dynamic and committed to success are proven to influence economic growth and prosperity. This businessman who is full of leadership and entrepreneurial spirit will take on the task of leading an economic revolution to improve a more decent standard of living. In society, entrepreneurial values, such as creativity, innovation, careful risk management, perseverance, responsibility and optimism, must always be instilled in the younger generation. Especially through Economic Education. So that the soul and spirit of the younger generation can be more competitive in facing competition in the era of society. The role of Economic Education is very important in shaping the enthusiasm of the younger generation to become active and participatory actors in driving the economic revolution towards positive change.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pendidikan berbasis masyarakat adat dalam kurikulum nasional Indonesia, khususnya Kurikulum Merdeka, dengan fokus pada pemenuhan kebutuhan budaya dan kearifan lokal. Dalam konteks keberagaman etnis Indonesia, pendidikan masyarakat adat menghadapi tantangan signifikan, seperti keterbatasan akses, relevansi kurikulum, dan kurangnya pengakuan terhadap kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode telaah pustaka, yakni literatur ilmiah dan regulasi pemerintah Indonesia terhadap pendidikan bagi masyarakat adat, yang nantinya digunakan untuk mengungkap potensi serta strategi integrasi pendidikan berbasis budaya dalam kurikulum nasional. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat adat membutuhkan pendidikan yang memperhatikan konteks budaya mereka, terutama untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan memahami dunia global tanpa kehilangan identitas budaya. Temuan ini juga menekankan pentingnya ruang kelas sebagai lingkungan interkultural yang inklusif. Selain itu, penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya pengintegrasian konten adat ke dalam Kurikulum Merdeka melalui Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5), yang relevan dengan Tujuan 4 dari Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) tentang pendidikan inklusif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pelibatan komunitas adat dalam perancangan kurikulum, pelatihan guru untuk memahami konteks lokal, dan pengembangan kebijakan yang mendukung pendidikan berbasis budaya. Penelitian masa depan juga perlu mengeksplorasi dampak pendidikan berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap kualitas hidup masyarakat adat, serta melakukan studi komparatif dengan kebijakan serupa di negara lain.

Abstract

This research focuses on the implementation of tahfidz with the Muri-Q method in Madrasah Qur'aniyah Fastabiqul Khoirot Kendal, which combines rhythm and melody, is considered effective in making the memorization process more interesting and easy to understand. This study aims to find out how this method can improve the ability of students to memorize the Qur'an, as well as to identify the factors that support the successful application of the method. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation to obtain an in-depth picture of the application of the Muri-Q method. Data analysis was carried out to identify the factors that affect the success of this method. The results of the study show that the Muri-Q method has a positive impact on improving the memorization of the Qur'an in students. The use of audio-visual media such as Youtube and speakers is very helpful for students in understanding the tone of reading. There are six supporting factors: such as familiar methods, conducive learning environments, makharijul approach and tajweed law, division by age, superior programs, and the use of audio-visual media also contribute to the success of this method. The Muri-Q method has proven to be effective in improving the ability to memorize the Qur'an. This research suggests the need for further development in teaching methods to overcome existing challenges and improve the effectiveness of the Muri-Q method.

Abstract

The study discusses social media, especially Instagram, which is now used as one of the main sources for finding information. Instagram is currently a platform that must be owned by companies as a branding medium. Branding is a strategy to introduce, build and grow a brand until it is known and gets loyalty from the public. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of social media marketing on brand attitudes, brand awareness and brand image. To determine the effect of brand awareness on brand attitudes and brand image. To determine the effect of brand image on brand attitudes. This type of research is quantitative research with a survey method. The number of samples in this study studied was 100 samples. Purposive sampling method, questionnaire data collection method. Data analysis techniques using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the SmartPLS program. The results of the study showed a positive and significant effect between social media marketing on brand attitudes, brand awareness and brand image. There is a positive and significant effect between brand awareness on brand attitudes and brand image. There is a positive and significant effect between brand image on brand attitudes.

Abstract

Tarombo Suku Batak Toba, sebagai catatan silsilah keluarga, memuat nilai sejarah yang mendalam terkait asal-usul, struktur sosial, dan budaya masyarakat Batak Toba. Meskipun penting, pemanfaatannya dalam pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah-sekolah masih terbatas. Permasalahan pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana tarombo dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar sejarah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi potensi tarombo sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah yang efektif dan relevansinya dalam memperkaya pemahaman sejarah serta meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber tertulis terkait tarombo, budaya Batak Toba, dan teori pembelajaran sejarah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tarombo dapat menjadi sumber belajar yang kaya akan informasi sejarah lokal yang dapat membantu siswa memahami dinamika sosial dan budaya masyarakat Batak Toba. Melalui pembelajaran yang melibatkan tarombo, siswa tidak hanya belajar tentang sejarah keluarga, tetapi juga memperkuat kesadaran sejarah dan identitas budaya mereka. Dengan demikian, tarombo dapat menjadi sarana untuk mengembangkan rasa cinta tanah air dan memperkaya wawasan kebudayaan dalam pendidikan sejarah di sekolah.

Abstract

Salah satu pendekatan kognitif yang dapat digunakan untuk melatih keterampilan pengambilan keputusan karier adalah dengan penerapan siklus CASVE berbasis teori CIP. Cognitive information processing merupakan teori perkembangan karier yang menyatakan dimensi pengolahan pemecahan masalah atau informasi. Permasalahan yang terjadi di lapangan adalah peserta didik kelas XII merasa kesulitan dalam pengambilan keputusan karier, namun pemecahan masalah karier pada dasarnya adalah proses kognitif yang menuntut individu untuk menentukan nasibnya sendiri dalam membuat pilihan karier. Sehingga, tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji lebih dalam mengenai hasil penerapan CASVE berbasis teori CIP khususnya dalam bidang pengambilan keputusan karier siswa agar dapat menjadi layanan alternatif di sekolah. Metode penelitian Systematic Literature Review/SLR diterapkan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil yang didapat berupa 15 artikel didapat pada screening awal, namun hanya 10 artikel yang relevan dengan topik penelitian berdasarkan hasil telaah abstrak dan isi. Hasil kajian literatur dan kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah penggunaan konseling karier model CASVE dengan teori CIP diprediksi mampu untuk membantu dalam pengambilan keputusan karier siswa. Namun, diperlukan penelitian lanjutan untuk dapat mengetahui secara pasti ada atau tidaknya pengaruh konseling karier model CASVE berbasis teori CIP dalam membantu pengambilan keputusan karier peserta didik.
