Abstract

Preliminary study with the Head of the RA Perwanida 15 indicate a highly concerning issue: the absence of healthy food options for the children. In contrast, the village have strong potential as a source of nutritious food for children. The primary issue in the community’s limited knowledge and lack of initiative regarding the provision of healthy meals for children. This community service program implemented as an effective strategy to promote healthy and nutritious food through structured educational activities. The program targeted 37 mothers of students enrolled at school. The implementation team employed surveys, lectures, question-and-answer sessions, training demonstrations, and evaluation methods to deliver the educational content. The program was carried out through several stages, including needs analysis, coordination, educational delivery, and evaluation. The results indicate an improvement in the mothers’ knowledge of healthy and nutritious food after participating in the educational sessions and studying the module prepared by the team.

Abstract

The sugar palm is a commodity of high economic value and plays an important role in farmers’ income as well as land conservation. One of the main threats in sugar palm cultivation is the attack of horned beetle pests, which can damage meristem tissue and cause plant death. A community service activity carried out by the PKM Team from Instiper Yogyakarta in Gondang, Sleman, Yogyakarta, aimed to provide counseling and training on horned beetle population monitoring to members of the Ngudi Lestari Farmers Group. Monitoring was performed using Ferotrap pheromone traps. After ten rounds of monitoring, no horned beetles were found in the cultivation area. These results indicate that the horned beetle population in the area remains safe. The Ferotrap counseling and training effectively enhanced the farmers' knowledge and skills in pest management for sugar palm plants.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas padi sawah melalui penerapan pemupukan presisi dan aplikasi kasgot sebagai upaya mendukung ketahanan pangan di Desa Gununglurah, Kecamatan Cilongok, Kabupaten Banyumas. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah rendahnya kesuburan tanah akibat minimnya penggunaan bahan organik serta ketergantungan terhadap pupuk anorganik dengan dosis yang tidak terukur. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan partisipatif melalui tahapan koordinasi awal, penyuluhan, analisis tanah menggunakan Perangkat Uji Tanah Sawah (PUTS), aplikasi kasgot terformulasi, pembuatan demplot seluas satu hektar, serta pendampingan dan monitoring pertumbuhan tanaman. Hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman petani terhadap pengelolaan kesuburan tanah dan pemupukan presisi. Respons awal tanaman pada fase vegetatif menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang lebih seragam, warna daun lebih hijau, serta kondisi fisik tanah yang lebih gembur dibandingkan kontrol. Selain itu, terjadi perubahan pola pikir petani terhadap pemanfaatan pupuk organik sebagai bagian dari sistem budidaya berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini berpotensi menjadi model penerapan teknologi tepat guna yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain untuk mendukung peningkatan produktivitas padi dan penguatan ketahanan pangan lokal.

Abstract

The community service program was initiated due to the limited educational technology skills and lack of variation in digital learning media used by teachers in the Wiradadaha 1 Teacher Working Group, Tasikmalaya. These conditions hinder the optimal implementation of project-based learning aligned with 21st-century competencies. This program aims to enhance teachers’ abilities in developing digital learning media based on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) through structured training and mentoring. The methods included material presentation, demonstration, guided practice, and technical assistance in designing storyboards and producing digital media. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ competencies in creating creative, interactive, and STEAM-oriented learning media. This program has contributed positively to teachers’ readiness to integrate educational technology and is recommended for continuation through sustained mentoring initiatives.

Abstract

The Bungung Rumbiaya Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) faces the challenge of declining productivity in its egg-laying chicken business due to poor drinking water quality and conventional marketing strategies. This Community Service Program aims to address these dual challenges through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which emphasizes collaboration and empowerment of partners as active subjects. The implementation method consists of three participatory PAR cycles: (1) joint planning to identify problems and solutions, (2) collective action in technology implementation, and (3) reflection for evaluation and further planning. The program's results demonstrated two key achievements. First, the implementation of a water filtration system (1,000-liter tank, water tower, and multi-layer filter) successfully improved water quality, directly impacting egg production by 10-15% and improving chicken health. Second, the development of the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) website (https://bungungrumbiaya.com) successfully laid the foundation for digitalized marketing. More important than these technical outputs, there was a significant increase in partner capacity and independence, with administrators now able to operate and maintain the technology independently. The program concluded that integrating appropriate technology and the PAR approach is an effective strategy for creating sustainable solutions and empowering village institutions. Maintaining sustainability requires a commitment to regular maintenance from partners, as well as continued mentoring from universities and the village government.

Abstract

This community service program focuses on improving clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) among children at the Community Learning Center (CLC) Kampung Melayu Sulaiman, Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia, a migrant community with limited access to health education. The program aims to enhance students’ knowledge and practices related to PHBS through structured and participatory educational activities. A Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach was employed, involving students, teachers, and CLC administrators in the processes of needs identification, planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. Activities were carried out both online and onsite through health education sessions, handwashing and toothbrushing demonstrations, and the distribution of educational materials. The results indicate an improvement in students’ knowledge, basic PHBS skills, and behavioral changes such as washing hands before meals and maintaining personal hygiene. Overall, the program positively contributed to increasing children’s health awareness and strengthening teachers’ capacity to continue PHBS education independently

Abstract

In the digital age, information and communication technology (ICT) has become a major catalyst in the transformation of various industrial sectors, including beekeeping. The application of digital technology in production and marketing processes can open new opportunities for beekeepers to enhance efficiency, product quality, and competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market. With these improvements, beekeepers can compete more effectively in both local and national markets. Therefore, it is important to explore and implement digital technologies that can support beekeepers in increasing their productivity and competitiveness. Overall, the adoption of digital technology in honey production and marketing has made a significant contribution to enhancing the competitiveness of honey products.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut guru memiliki keterampilan literasi digital dan kemampuan mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Namun, banyak guru informatika berlatar belakang non-informatika masih mengalami kesulitan memahami konsep koding. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan digital guru melalui pelatihan koding menggunakan MIT App Inventor sebagai platform visual yang mudah dipahami. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada 4 September 2025 dan diikuti 20 guru MGMP Informatika MTs NU Kabupaten Banyumas. Metode kegiatan mencakup identifikasi masalah, penyusunan modul, pelaksanaan dengan pendekatan hands-on learning, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman signifikan, dengan skor pre-test 55–60 meningkat menjadi 85–90 pada post-test. Sebanyak 95% peserta merasa materi relevan dan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mereka dalam mengajarkan koding. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan modul pelatihan, prototipe aplikasi edukatif sederhana, dan rencana pelatihan lanjutan. Pelatihan membuktikan bahwa MIT App Inventor efektif membantu guru memahami dasar koding dan menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif.

Abstract

Penurunan Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) dan Bayi (AKB) merupakan tanggung jawab pemerintah dan masyarakat serta menjadi indikator keberhasilan kesehatan. Salah satu upaya penting adalah pelayanan kebidanan berkelanjutan atau Continuity of Care (CoC). Studi kasus ini bertujuan memberikan asuhan kebidanan holistik kepada Ny. N, primigravida yang mendapat pelayanan di Puskesmas Gribig. Asuhan komprehensif dilakukan sejak usia kehamilan 35 minggu, meliputi masa hamil, persalinan, nifas, dan bayi baru lahir. Hasil menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan antara teori dan kasus. Bidan memberikan edukasi nutrisi, anjuran penggunaan ASI booster untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI, serta perawatan tali pusat bayi dengan metode terbuka guna mencegah infeksi dan mempercepat pelepasan tali pusat. Disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat kesenjangan antara teori dan praktik, dan bidan harus mampu memberikan asuhan berkelanjutan pada seluruh tahapan kebidanan, termasuk KB.
