ABDIRA (Journal of Community Service): Journal of Community Service contains the results of community service and empowerment activities in the form of application of various fields of science including health, education, engineering, agriculture, agriculture, social humanities, computers, entrepreneurship and economics. This journal is published regularly twice a year in April and October. The purpose of this journal is to disseminate ideas and results of the dedication and research conducted by universities that can be applied in society. Abstract

The problems faced by Wringinrejo Village farmers are the high dependence on chemical fertilizers and the low utilization of household kitchen waste. This exertion was carried out in order to improve the insight and skills of Wringinrejo Village farmers to make liquid organic fertilizer from household kitchen waste in the form of rice washing water as an alternative to chemical fertilizers. In addition, this activity also increases the awareness of participants towards sustainable agriculture. Through a participatory approach, this exertion was carried out in the form of comforting, mentoring, direct practice of making liquid organic fertilizer using simple ingredients including rice washing water, molasses, and EM4 as well as monitoring. The results of the fermentation of liquid organic fertilizer were then tested on durian plants. The results of observations showed that durian plants that were given liquid organic fertilizer grew better, while those that were not given fertilizer grew slowly.

Abstract

To produce high-quality graduates from Vocational High Schools (SMK), Education must develop mastery of hard skills and development of soft skills, including independent learning skills. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the technological literacy of students at SMKN 1 Duduksampeyan, particularly in utilizing Large Language Models (LLM) such as ChatGPT and Gemini.. The methods used in this program include lectures and practice sessions. The lecture sessions are designed to provide an understanding of the basic concepts, history, and applications of LLM in various sectors, particularly accounting. The practice sessions involve hands-on training in using LLM, where students are taught effective prompting techniques to complete school assignments and improve their analytical skills. Based on the pre-test questionnaire results, nearly 20% of students had never used LLM, while 5% considered this technology less beneficial. The main challenges faced were limited internet access and a lack of understanding of how to use the technology. This program is expected to equip students with adaptive skills and support the integration of LLM in vocational education.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide assistance in fish diversification to groups of fisherwomen in Kaduara Barat Village, Pamekasan so that they have knowledge on how to process fish into several frozen food products. Frozen food is a method of processing fish-based ingredients into fast food products preserved using a freezing process with the aim of making them last longer, be durable, and maintain their quality. The stages in this activity include; socialization and counseling, assistance in demonstrating the diversification process and the evaluation stage. The products produced are; nuggets, sausages, meatballs, pempek and shredded meat based on ethnomath with the resulting shape containing mathematical concepts, such as geometric shapes (cubes, blocks, prisms, spheres, cylinders and others. This can be called ethnomath-preneur, how to process the potential of local cultural elements in a particular area which involves mathematical concepts that have an entrepreneurial spirit. The results obtained in this activity are the knowledge and skills of partner groups in processing fish into frozen food with high economic value as an effort to increase family income.

Abstract

The folklore of Jaka Tarub comes from Central Java which tells the story of a village youth named Jaka Tarub, who is known to be brave and an expert hunter who married an angel. This study aims to analyze the moral values contained in the folklore of Jaka Tarub. This story was chosen because it is one of Indonesia's traditional legends that is full of moral messages and local wisdom. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive analysis, with a moral literary study approach. The results of the analysis show that in the story of Jaka Tarub there are several moral values about the importance of honesty, trust, and responsibility for one's own actions. This story also illustrates the consequences of excessive curiosity and lessons to value promises and trust in relationships. This story has various versions and is an important part of Javanese culture that is passed down orally and in writing. These values are conveyed through the characters in the story, the conflicts that occur, and the resolution of the story that contains life lessons. By understanding the moral values in this story, it is hoped that readers can learn lessons and apply them in their daily lives.

Abstract

Becoming a young entrepreneur is also implemented by one of the State Vocational Schools in Petang District, Badung Regency, Bali. State Vocational High School 1 Petang has one major in Agricultural Product Processing, namely producing products that are ready to be sold, such as cakes and various types of drinks. The student's production has been sold only within the school environment. Lack of knowledge of technology, namely marketing products via the internet, is an obstacle. This is caused by a lack of resources who understand the use of technology such as creating designs, packaging products and marketing them. To overcome this problem, design and social media marketing training was carried out to market the product. The method applied in this training is direct mentoring for five days in the classrooms of SMK Negeri 1 Petang. The material provided is making promotional designs and video reels that are uploaded on social media. The results of this training show that the students were very enthusiastic in taking part in the training and succeeded in designing content for promotion purposes on social media.

Abstract

Branding plays an important role in increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs, especially in the food industry. However, many MSMEs, including Etawa goat milk businesses, do not yet have a strong visual identity. This service aims to design a logo that matches the characteristics of Etawa goat milk products and evaluate its impact on consumer appeal. Using a mixed-method approach, this Service applies thematic analysis to understand MSME owners' preferences for branding and logo design, as well as quantitative analysis to measure consumer visual perception through a Likert scale (1-5). The results of the Service show that MSME owners have a primary preference for a circular logo that can be easily attached to the packaging bottle. In addition, owners prefer striking colors and adding additional elements such as slogans and telephone numbers. The visual perception test conducted on 40 respondents showed that the visual appeal aspect obtained an average score of 4.3/5, readability 4.3/5, and relevance to the product 4.4/5. The conclusion of this Service confirms that a logo designed in a participatory manner can improve MSME branding more effectively. As a recommendation, MSMEs are advised to not only use logos as visual identities but also integrate them into digital marketing strategies to be more competitive in the market.

Abstract

The Student Creativity Program (PKM) aims to train teachers in writing scientific articles on Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) through intensive training. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a participatory approach, where participants (teachers) are given workshops, mentoring, and direct practice using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, and Turnitin for data analysis, article preparation, and plagiarism checking. The results of the study showed a significant increase in teachers' ability to write CAR articles, with 85% of participants successfully compiling article drafts that met scientific standards, and increasing writing time efficiency by up to 40% thanks to the use of AI. This training not only improves digital teacher literacy but also opens up opportunities for innovation in technology-based educational research.

Abstract

Kalimosodo tourist attraction, located in Tulung District, Klaten Regency, holds great potential as a natural and cultural tourist destination. Unfortunately, this attraction has not been matched by an adequate marketing strategy, especially in the digital context. This has led to low tourist visits and minimal exposure on online platforms. Based on the identification of partner problems, assistance is needed that focuses on strengthening digital marketing skills to improve the promotion of tourist destinations effectively and efficiently. This service activity uses the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach which is oriented towards developing local potential and assets. The implementation method is in the form of socialisation of the importance of digital marketing, as well as workshops on content creation, social media management, and promotion strategies based on local distinctiveness. This activity is carried out in a participatory manner so that partners can understand and practice the material provided directly. This process is also accompanied by evaluation and technical assistance in managing promotions on an ongoing basis. The results of the activity show that partners have increased understanding and skills in using social media as a marketing tool.Tourism promotion accounts were successfully created, and digital content began to be uploaded consistently. The conclusion of this activity is that the application of digital marketing in a structured and community-based manner can increase the existence of local tourism objects. The ABCD approach is a relevant strategy to empower communities to manage tourism promotion independently and sustainably.

Abstract

The training on creating Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions using artificial intelligence (AI) platforms such as Quizizz aims to enhance the skills of prospective educators in designing assessment questions that encourage critical and creative thinking. The urgency of this training is crucial in the context of current digital education, where technology and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) are essential to face the challenges of the 21st century. The benefits of this training include improving participants' abilities to design HOTS questions based on Bloom's taxonomy and utilizing technology to create more interactive and applicable questions. Data analysis was conducted both quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitatively, the analysis was done by comparing pre-test and post-test scores to measure the participants' improvement in understanding HOTS and using Quizizz. Additionally, data from practical observations and evaluation questionnaires were used to assess participants' participation, enthusiasm, and independence in designing questions. The analysis results showed that 80% of participants were able to design HOTS questions at cognitive levels C4 and C5, and 75% of participants successfully utilized Quizizz's features.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the competence of elementary school teachers in developing and utilizing interactive digital media based on students’ social environments in Social Studies (IPS) learning. The training was carried out using a participatory approach, actively involving partner school teachers in the design, simulation, and evaluation of learning media. Students’ social environment served as the primary source of content to ensure the relevance of Social Studies materials to daily life. The results indicate an improvement in teachers’ understanding of educational technology and their ability to create contextual, creative, and engaging media. This training is expected to support a more meaningful and enjoyable Social Studies learning process for elementary students.
