Abstract

Financial literacy education should ideally be introduced from an early age during school years. Children need to be guided and accustomed to good financial behaviors. This community service research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of financial literacy education in fostering an early investment foundation among students of SMK Muhammadiyah Pangkalan Balai. The low level of financial literacy among the younger generation, particularly in the context of investment, remains a relevant challenge amidst the dynamics of the digital economy. Employing interactive socialization and counseling methods, this program involved 65 twelfth-grade students. Pre-test and post-test results showed a highly significant increase in knowledge (average gain score of 35.8 points), accompanied by positive changes in students' attitudes and interest in early investment. The program's novelty lies in its emphasis on "financial adaptability" and the integration of entrepreneurial values. It is concluded that financial literacy education with an interactive counseling approach is highly effective in equipping students of SMK Muhammadiyah Pangkalan Balai with practical financial competencies for the future.

Abstract

The degree of severity of COVID-19 patients is influenced by several factors, one of which is comorbidities. The degrees of severity in COVID-19 patients can result in death. In Buleleng Regency, 90% of COVID-19 patient deaths are experienced by patients with co-morbidities. This study aims to determine the relationship between comorbidities and the degree of severity in COVID-19 patients at Buleleng District Hospital. This study uses a type of quantitative analytic cross-sectional study. The sample size was calculated using the two-sided test formula and was selected by simple random sampling. Secondary data was taken from 170 medical records of COVID-19 patients who started treatment in July 2021 and finished receiving treatment in December 2021. The variables studied included individual characteristics, clinical characteristics, and the degree of patient severity. Data were analyzed by logistic regression test. The results showed that the majority (70.5%) of COVID-19 patients experienced moderate severity. Factors related to the severity of COVID-19 patients include age (aOR = 4.8; 95% CI: 1.4-15.6) and history of comorbidities (aOR = 11.4; 95% CI: 4 ,9-26,6). Initial assessment of severity may allow prioritization of treatment and supportive measures in COVID-19 patients. Health promotion is needed for the community to reduce the risk of severity that may occur, especially for people with comorbidities.

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to improve teachers' digital literacy skills through training in making interactive teaching materials using the Flipbuilder application at SDN Dewi Sartika 2, Bogor City. Digital literacy is an important competency for teachers in responding to the development of learning technology, especially in creating teaching media that is attractive and easily accessible to students. The methodology of the activity includes the preparation stage, the implementation of training, mentoring, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments to measure competency improvement. The results of the activity showed that there was a significant increase in teachers' understanding and skills in making digital teaching materials, as shown by the increase in the average score from 62 (pre-test) to 85 (post-test) and the response of teachers was mostly satisfied by 30.5%. In addition, teachers are able to produce interactive e-books based on flipbuilder that are relevant to the learning needs of the classroom. The discussion showed that hands-on approaches and intensive mentoring contribute to increasing digital literacy effectively. So the use of flipbuilders has proven to be a practical and innovative solution in supporting digital transformation in the elementary school environment, while strengthening the role of teachers as adaptive digital learning facilitators.
