Abstract

Students often repeat the same mistakes from year to year, these mistakes can come from various factors, both internal and external. Here we try to look at the external factors, one of which is the question item, whether the question is really too difficult or has low differentiation power, resulting in difficulties for students in answering it. On the other hand, we also want to know what types of errors students often experience so that we can minimize the repetition of these errors in the future. This research was conducted to see from both sides whether there was a match or not. The types of errors that are often made by students in advanced calculus courses are conceptual errors, procedural errors and operational errors. The sampling method was carried out twice, one for the sample of student error types and one for the sample of question item analysis. Here we want to know whether there is a relationship between the characteristics of the questions in the form of level of difficulty and the different strengths of the questions and the types of errors made by students in writing advanced calculus questions. From the results of the analysis of both, the results obtained were in accordance with the results, namely that although the questions tend to be moderate and relatively easy, students have not been able to maximize their learning outcomes in advanced calculus courses due to their lack of understanding at the basic level which can be seen from the types of errors such as errors in multiplication operations, errors in calculating integrals and not writing down formulas or concepts that apply in the questions. It is hoped that teachers can add small notes as a connecting thread that is broken in the concept of student understanding.

Abstract

Modern education makes digital based learning media the primary choice in the learning process. Educators must create media that adjusts to the character of the learners and their ability to innovate in learning media. Website based learning media is one among many digital learning media that can be used. The analysis of the use of this media at the Elementary School level needs to be examined to see its advantages and disadvantages so that it can be applied by every educator in the future. The analysis was conducted using a qualitative approach and data collection through document studies. The results show that the use of web-based learning media at the elementary school level is appropriate due to its attractive visualization and ease of use. The ability of educators to create innovative website based learning media can have a positive impact on the process and outcomes of learning.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of collaborative authentic assessment in enhancing students' critical thinking skills in analyzing persuasive sentence structures in the Syntax course. Using a qualitative design with a descriptive-analytical approach, the study involved 20 third-semester students from the Indonesian Language Study Program at Madura University. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with students and lecturers, and analysis of advertisement text documents. Thematic analysis was applied to the observation and interview data, and content analysis was used for document analysis. The findings show that the implementation of collaborative authentic assessment significantly improves students' critical thinking skills. Students were able to identify and understand syntactic elements, evaluate their influence on readers, and construct logical arguments. This research contributes theoretically by advancing collaborative-based learning models for the 21st century and provides practical insights for lecturers to design more contextual and interactive teaching approaches.

Abstract

Students with dysgraphia symptoms often have difficulty in writing due to their lack of fine motor skills, which affects how they write neatly and coordinate information. This study aims to analyze how teachers can help students with dysgraphia, particularly in developing fine motor skills, as well as finding supporting and inhibiting factors in their learning process. With a qualitative phenomenological approach through interviews, observations, and documentation, the results show that the role of teachers as educators and mentors is optimal. Teachers can identify students' problems and design appropriate learning. In addition, collaboration between teachers, parents and schools is an important factor in providing consistent support. The implications of this study show the importance of teacher training to recognize and treat dysgraphia, the use of technology to assist writing, and close cooperation with parents. Developing individualized learning programs and creating a supportive learning environment can also help students with dysgraphia develop optimal writing and learning skills.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a crucial role in shaping the character of adolescents, especially amidst the moral challenges faced by the younger generation today. This study aims to explore how PAI can shape character based on Islamic values through a holistic approach in various environments, including family, school and community. A descriptive qualitative method was used to analyze the data obtained from the literature study. The results show that PAI include the integration of Islamic values in the curriculum, habituation of worship, as well as exemplary behavior from teachers and parents. This study emphasizes the importance of innovation in learning methods so that PAI remains relevant and effective in shaping adolescent character in the digital era.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are 1) to analyze the influence of differentiated learning approaches based on learning styles on students' critical thinking skills and mathematical problem solving, 2) to analyze significant differences in critical thinking skills between students with different learning styles (e.g. visual, auditory, kinesthetic) after following the differentiated learning approach and 3) to analyze the influence of differentiated learning approaches tailored to students' learning styles on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The form of research used by the researcher is One-group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this study is all students of grades VII-1, VII-2 and VII-3. Based on the results that have been carried out, it is obtained that 1) there is a significant influence between differentiation learning based on learning styles on the critical thinking ability and mathematical problem solving of students, 2) there is a significant difference in critical thinking skills between students with different learning styles after participating in differentiated learning and 3) there is a significant influence between differentiation learning that is adjusted to the learning style of students to the mathematical problem-solving ability of students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical concepts contained in the PENGMATIKA game at SMP Negeri 13 Surabaya as well as students' responses after participating in the game. This research uses a qualitative approach with an ethnographic method, employing data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, documentation, and observations involving teachers and students. The results show that the PENGMATIKA game contains mathematical concepts such as flat shapes including squares, rectangles, rhombuses, as well as circle nets. Students stated that learning through PENGMATIKA made it easier to understand flat shapes, solid shapes, and nets. This study contributes to the development of mathematics learning by demonstrating that traditional games can be used as an engaging and effective educational medium in schools.

Abstract

U-Dictionary is the automatic attempt to translate words, phrases, documents, or speeches from one language to another. Examining students' perceptions of utilizing the U-Dictionary to translate words, phrases, texts, or speeches is the aim of this study. Twelve students participated in this study using the descriptive-qualitative methodology, and this type of U-Dictionary was reported and assessed. Data for the translation quality study were gathered using U-Dictionary procedures and questionnaires distributed to 12 English students in class B. The findings show that in order to obtain a decent translation based on their own understanding, students in the third semester of the English education department at UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu had to double-check and rearrange words, phrases, sentences, and paragraphs. Another choice for understanding the meaning of other languages is U-Dictionary. Student can use U-Dictionary as a dictionary as well. U-Dictionary is immensely helpful and practical; it can give users a general description and provide them with ideas or considerations to help them understand the meaning.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) analys the implementation of PKK learning phase F Accounting expertise at SMKN 1 Karanganyar, (2) analays the application of the PKK project based learning (PjBL) learning model phase F Accounting expertise. This study is a qualitative study with an analytical study approach. The data sources for this study are from interviews and document studies. Data collection was carried out by means of direct interviews with AKL students in grades XI and XII, PKK teachers, heads of AKL expertise programs, and vice principals for curriculum and analyzing student work proposal documents. The validity technique used is content validity, using a supervisor as an expert. The results of this study are as follows. First, the implementation of PKK learning phase F in AKL expertise has met the characteristics of the PjBL model. Second, the PJBL model syntax has been applied but there are still some things that need to be improved. Third, there is no special policy that distinguishes AKL from other expertise. Fourth, there are several achievements of PKK elements that have not been achieved. Fifth, there is still a lack of innovation in the results of student products.
