Abstract

Coco fiber is waste that is often produced by society, especially in Langsa area. This is because many Acehnese people use coconut as a cooking ingredient. The aim of this activity is to provide marketing-related training using a digital marketing platform based on Google My Business. The method in this research consists of planning, observation and implementation. The results of the socialization activities have run well and were successful. This activity is proven by the partner's success in creating an account and sending products on that account. To reduce too much coconut fiber waste, it is necessary to have a recycling process for this waste into products with high selling value. Traditionally, coconut fiber is only used to make brooms, doormats, ropes and other household items. The society has utilized coconut fiber waste into an environmentally friendly product that is very beautiful and has high selling value. It has the impact of increasing participants' knowledge and understanding of digital product marketing and increasing their confidence in marketing their products online.

Abstract

Community service activities in the form of training to improve English language skills for students at SDN 58 Ternate City. The aim of this service is to provide knowledge and self-development skills for students in Kastela Village, Ternate Island. This ability is expected to improve the foreign language skills of the younger generation and as a form of implementation of the tridharma of higher education to empower society. The target participants for this PKM activity are 30 grade 5 students at SDN 58 Ternate City. The method used in this service is game-based learning with an outdoor class system. The implementation of this community service activity will apply a translanguaging approach as a form of preserving local wisdom by empowering children's mother tongue, namely Ternate, as one of the learning languages. The results obtained from this service are increasing students' knowledge of English using games and instruments. The obstacle faced in this service activity is the students' limited English language skills so that most of the explanation of the activity steps is carried out in Indonesian.

Abstract

Peraturan desa menjadi suatu hal yang mutlak dalam penyelenggaraan pemerintahan desa. Abstract

Language development is critical in communication amongst groups since humans, as individuals with economic demands rely on one another. Language is also an important tool for character development. Individual qualities can be established through logical reasoning. Reason and language have a very intimate relationship. English is an international language used in practically every corner of the world to communicate between people from different origins. Furthermore, English has a significant association with the tourism industry. Not only must tourism actors or administrators be able to communicate in English, but they will also deal with tourism visitors, particularly foreign tourists, whether they like it or not. There is no doubt that tourism development must coincide with the development of suitable or qualified human resources for tourism management. Effective communication between visitors and tourism actors or managers, including local citizens, is critical to achieving sustainable tourism. As a result, those working in the tourism business must have excellent communication abilities.

Abstract

Many teachers are not ready to fulfill all the demands contained in the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka). In the field, the teachers experience challenges in creating interactive hybrid learning. One of the challenges is the use of the Internet of Things in creating teaching platforms and integrating online educational games into every learning meeting. Therefore, this community service activity aims at providing an assistance on how to create an online teaching platform integrated educational games. The method used in this activity was an adopted combination method including lecturing, discussions, demonstrations, exercises/practice, working instructions, and simulations. This activity was attended by 21 junior high school teachers consisting of various fields of study. This activity succeeded in making every teacher who took part in this activity have a teaching platform on a Padlet account according to their field of study and integrated with Quizizz game. Besides, this training also changed teachers’ perception. They found the integrated platform is easier to create after receiving training. In addition, they were also motivated to apply hybrid learning to support the implementation of the independent curriculum.

Abstract

Early marriage or marriage at a young age contributes greatly to the high death rate when women first give birth. Data on marriages of children under 16 years of age as many as 9.23% still occur in child marriages. It has indeed decreased from 10.28% in 2019 and 10.35% in 2020. The purpose of this community service is to provide socialization and to educate society, particularly teenagers about preventing early marriage in Singkawang City. The method of implementing service is carried out by providing education which is followed by teenagers in Singkawang City. The results obtained in this activity were the knowledge value before and after education with a value of 47.3 and experienced an increase of 97.3. This youth education contains positive values, by postponing marriage until the 'mature' age, is more important. The impact of this community service is expected to reduce the percentage of early marriage and to support them to get a brighter future.

Abstract

Computational thinking is a critical thinking technique that is included in subjects to improve students' thinking skills. Meanwhile, the Kurikulum Merdeka is a policy in the education to make it easier for educational institutions, teachers and even students in the learning process. The presence of Bebras at Sekolah Dasar Negeri 8 Sokong, North Lombok Regency aims to improve teachers' teaching abilities and increase children's creativity to solve problems in subjects. The method used in this program are planning, preparation, socialization and training, and competition and evaluation Stage. The final result obtained was that the teacher was able to apply content to school subjects and sent the students of SDN 8 Sokong to take part in local and national level competitions. The content of Kurikulum Kampus Merdeka can produce competitive output for students are taught by their teachers to think computationally and find quick solutions to the problems given. One form of evaluating Bebras progress towards its students is competitions, both local and national, while the evaluation of the teacher's abilities is seen from the abilities of the students. The collaboration between Bebras Bureau Bumigora University and SDN 8 Sokong enable the students to compete at the national level.

Abstract

Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri 2 Mataram (SLB Negeri 2 Mataram) merupakan sekolah negeri dengan jenjang pendidikan SD, SMP, dan SMA yang seluruh siswanya merupakan penyandang disabilitas. SLBN 2 Mataram memiliki jumlah siswa sebanyak 179 siswa dengan rincian sebagai berikut, yaitu 96 siswa SDLB, 47 siswa SMPLB, dan 36 siswa SMALB. Jumlah siswa penyandang Tuna Grahita sebanyak 80 siswa dengan rincian sebagai berikut yaitu 50 siswa SD, 17 siswa SMP, dan 13 siswa SMA. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh SLB Negeri 2 Mataram adalah kurangnya media pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk penyandang Tuna Grahita. Siswa tunagrahita memiliki kondisi intelektual di bawah rata-rata sehingga mereka akan mengalami kesulitan dalam menerima materi pembelajaran dengan metode dan media yang umum digunakan. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini yaitu dapat meningkatkan daya ingat siswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran bahasa inggris. Metode atau strategi yang dilakukan dalam Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini terdiri dari dua tahap, yaitu tahap pengembangan alat dengan mengacu pada kondisi siswa penyandang disabilitas, dan tahap kedua adalah tahap implementasi penggunaan alat untuk siswa penyandang disabilitas. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah mampu meningkatkan minat belajar bagi siswa penyandang disabilitas dan memudahkan siswa dalam belajar terkait pelafalan bahasa Inggris dengan baik dan benar. Implikasi dari pengabdian ini yaitu dapat memudahkan guru dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran khususnya dalam bahasa inggris, kemudian untuk siswa, dapat meningkatkan daya ingat dan cara pengucapan kata dalam bahasa inggris.

Abstract

The aim of this community service is to increase MSMEs' understanding of Fintech by providing literacy to build the financial resilience of MSMEs so that they do not get caught in Illegal Online Loan fraud. Adaptation to technological developments requires people to be smart about their finances. The partners of this service are the MSMEs of Gergunung Klaten Village, with 41 participants. The main problem faced by MSME partners in Gergunung Klaten Village is the lack of technological and financial knowledge among Gergunung Klaten Village MSMEs and the frequent offers of online loans, even though their knowledge, especially regarding FinTech, is still low, so they have the potential to become victims of illegal loans. This community service is focused on fintech literacy, which plays an important role in efforts to mitigate the risk of Online Loan victims. Through a service approach that involves counseling and providing clear and accurate information, MSME services and development can be empowered to make smarter financial decisions and be aware of the risks and benefits of fintech services, especially in the case of Online Loan. The methods used are counseling, prevention of illegal borrowing, and services, as well as developing the needs of MSMEs by simulating the use of fintech. The results of this service are able to increase fintech literacy and public awareness of the dangers of illegal Online Loan. With a better understanding of fintech and Online Loan, people, especially MSMEs, have the tools to make smarter financial decisions and reduce the risk of fraud. This effort contributes to the formation of a society that is more financially empowered and smarter when making transactions via financial technology platforms.

Abstract

The importance of English as an international language makes the head of SMAIT Tunas Cendekia wants to make this school as a bilingual. To realize this goal, one way is to improve teachers this school to get English language training. This is what makes our team from the UNDIKMA English Language Education Program provides intensive English language training at the school to improve the teachers’ English skill. The method used for this service was sharing, theory and practice. The result from process evaluation: training preparation: 80% well and 20% sufficient, Implementation: 75% good, 25% sufficient, Aspects of Presenter competency: 90% good, 10% sufficient, Training materials; 80% good, 20% sufficient. Evaluation of result: first day, 95% of the material was absorbed well and 85% could be implemented well, second day, 85% of the language instruction material could be memorized well, and 80% could be put into practice, third day of the training material providing instructions in English in class, 90% could be absorbed well, and 85% could be put into practice directly, fourth day of implementation, giving instructions in English in class could be well absorbed 90% and 85% could be put into practice by the teachers.
