Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of fraud accounting and money tracing on the effectiveness of Money Laundering (ML) disclosure in Indonesia, with forensic audit compliance as a moderating variable. The primary background is the phenomenon of investigative inertia, where large volumes of transaction data are not yet optimally converted into financial evidence with evidentiary value. Using a mixed-methods approach dominated by an associative-explanatory quantitative method, this research examines causal relationships among a professional population of investigators, forensic auditors, and prosecutors in Medan City through purposive sampling. Data analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). This study positions the quality of forensic financial evidence as the primary proxy for the effectiveness of ML disclosure. Results are expected to show that the systematic application of fraud accounting and money tracing techniques significantly improves the quality of financial evidence. Furthermore, compliance with forensic audit standards is predicted to strengthen this relationship in supporting legal proof processes. This research provides a theoretical contribution to investigative accounting literature and practical benefits for law enforcement in strengthening the construction of financial crime evidence.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the extent to which training, communication, and career development affect employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). Singkil Branch. In the face of increasingly competitive business competition, companies are required to manage human resources effectively to improve the quality of services and organizational performance. Proper training, effective communication, and a structured career development system are believed to be able to increase job satisfaction which ultimately has an impact on improving employee performance. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of associative research. The research population is all employees totaling 96 people and all of them are sampled through saturated sampling techniques. Data was collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method based on Partial Least Square (PLS) through SmartPLS. The results of the study show that training, communication, and career development have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. In addition, these three variables and job satisfaction also have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction has been shown to have the strongest influence on performance and is able to significantly mediate the relationship between training, communication, and career development on employee performance. These findings confirm that job satisfaction plays a strategic role in improving employee performance. Therefore, companies need to strengthen relevant training programs, improve the effectiveness of internal communication, and provide a fair and transparent career development system to drive employee satisfaction and performance on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of job training and work ethic on teacher performance with work motivation as a mediating variable at State Vocational High School (SMK) 1 Stabat. The background of this study stems from the importance of improving the performance of vocational teachers through strengthening training, work ethic, and work motivation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of 89 civil servants at SMK Negeri 1 Stabat (civil servants and PPPK), all of whom were used as samples (population research). Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) with SmartPLS. The results show that job training has a positive but insignificant effect on teacher performance, but has a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Work ethic has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance and work motivation. Work motivation also has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Indirectly, job training through work motivation does not have a significant effect on teacher performance, while work ethic through work motivation has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. The R² value of 0.811 for work motivation and 0.862 for teacher performance shows that the model is able to explain a high proportion of variance in both dependent variables. These findings confirm that work ethic and work motivation are key factors in improving teacher performance, while job training plays a greater role in encouraging work motivation than in directly influencing performance.

Abstract

This study adopts a normative legal perspective to explore the configuration and extent of civil liability attributed to hospitals in Indonesia, with particular attention to patient losses arising from alleged medical negligence or malpractice. Employing a doctrinal approach grounded in the examination of statutory provisions and legal doctrines, the research identifies a notable evolution in the allocation of responsibility. Legal accountability, which was previously directed toward individual healthcare professionals, has progressively shifted to hospitals as institutional entities. Notably, the Hospital Law, as stipulated in Article 46 of Law Number 44 of 2009, assigns hospitals a central role as the entities responsible for legal consequences arising from healthcare services. This legislative orientation reflects the principle of vicarious liability as articulated in Article 1367 paragraph (3) of the Indonesian Civil Code, under which an institution may be held legally responsible for acts committed by individuals operating within its sphere of authority . Within this legal construct, hospitals are regarded as autonomous legal persons responsible for the conduct of all healthcare personnel operating within their organizational framework, including physicians, and are consequently obliged to provide compensation when patients incur harm. The analysis also highlights the necessity of drawing a clear distinction between acts of professional negligence that give rise to civil liability and medical risks that are inherently associated with clinical interventions and have been duly acknowledged through valid informed consent. Taken as a whole, the findings indicate that Indonesian law has developed a structured and stringent model of hospital accountability, serving not merely as a means of providing remedies to patients, but also operating as a regulatory instrument means to improve healthcare quality and strengthen clinical risk management, thereby ensuring substantive legal protection for patients..

Abstract

the effect of implementing Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based financial technology on increasing financial inclusion in Indonesia during the period 2019–2024. The background of this study is based on the rapid increase in digital transformation in the financial sector triggered by the adoption of fintech, but there is still a gap in financial access, especially among low-income groups and disadvantaged regions. This study uses a quantitative approach with a panel data model, involving independent variables of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), education level, average internet access, fintech loan recipient entities, and the number of mobile banking users on the dependent variable of the Financial Inclusion Index. The data was obtained from official publications of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Indonesia (BI), and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The results of the analysis show that Big Data and AI have a positive and significant contribution to expanding financial inclusion through increased credit distribution efficiency, expanded access to digital services, and personalized financial products. However, their influence is still limited by gaps in digital literacy, infrastructure, and trust in data security. The findings of this study are expected to provide strategic input for regulators, fintech industry players, and academics in formulating technology-based inclusive policies to achieve sustainable national financial inclusion targets.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of transformational leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), with organizational commitment serving as a mediating variable. The study was conducted among employees at PKS Tanjung Seumantoh. The research utilized a quantitative explanatory approach, involving a population of 137 employees selected through a total sampling technique. Primary data were gathered via Likert-scale questionnaires and subsequently analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) facilitated by AMOS 23 software. The empirical findings demonstrate that transformational leadership exerts a positive and significant direct effect on OCB, evidenced by a regression coefficient of 0.930 (p < 0.001). Furthermore, transformational leadership significantly influences organizational commitment with a coefficient of 0.852 (p < 0.001). The mediation analysis confirms that organizational commitment functions as a significant intervening variable in the relationship between transformational leadership and OCB. These results suggest that the effective implementation of transformational leadership styles fosters higher organizational commitment, which in turn enhances employees' tendencies to engage in extra-role behaviors. This study provides practical implications for management in optimizing organizational performance through leadership development and employee engagement strategies.

Abstract

Cultural heritage is a national heritage that must be protected and preserved sustainably, including historic school buildings that have a dual function as objects of preservation and character education. This study aims to analyze the legal protection for historic school buildings according to the Indonesian legal system and the forms of civil liability in disputes over the destruction of cultural heritage, using the case of SMAN 17 Yogyakarta as a case study. The method used is normative legal research with a statutory approach and a case approach. The results show that UUCB Number 11 of 2010 has provided a protection framework based on three pillars: protection, development, and utilization, but its effectiveness is still hampered by weak supervision and regulatory disharmony with the Job Creation Law. In addition, the case of the destruction of SMAN 17 Yogyakarta fulfills all elements of an unlawful act based on Article 1365 of the Civil Code with multiple responsibilities, but the absence of a civil lawsuit reveals a normative vacuum in the UUCB that needs to be addressed immediately through comprehensive implementing regulations.
