Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using crossword puzzle learning media on students' learning interest and the improvement of students' learning interest in the Social Science subject for Grade V at SDN 53 Sawerigading Palopo. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design through a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects consist of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Data collection techniques were carried out through student learning interest questionnaires. Data analysis used descriptive analysis, normality test, homogeneity test, Independent Sample T-Test, and Paired Sample T-Test with the assistance of IBM SPSS version 25. The research results show that the average learning interest of students in the experimental class increased from 51.42 in the pretest to 57.58 in the posttest, while in the control class it increased from 49.27 to 52.82. The results of the Independent Sample T-Test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 with a calculated t-value of 5.275, indicating a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. In addition, the results of the Paired Sample T-Test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 with a calculated t-value of -7.313, indicating a significant increase in learning interest after using the crossword puzzle media. Thus, the use of crossword puzzle learning media has a significant effect and is able to increase student learning interest in the Grade V IPAS subjects at SDN 53 Sawerigading Palopo.

Abstract

Abstract. SMK graduates face challenges in work culture alignment. 5R implementation at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Jatinom is not yet internalized sustainably. This study aims to develop a religious-based 5R work culture guidebook. The method uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model involving 85 teachers and employees, and validation by ten experts. Results show current 5R conditions are at the habituation stage but depend on external supervision. Strategic religious values like amanah and discipline are integrated into 5R elements. The product was declared feasible in the "Good" category (score 3.60) by experts. Field trials showed the product was practical (3.48), effective (3.48), and well-accepted (3.56) by 90.5% of users. Religious value integration changed 5R perception from administrative burden to worship, increasing intrinsic motivation. It is concluded that the guidebook is feasible for adoption as a permanent institutional guide to build sustainable work culture through balancing technical, pedagogical, and spiritual dimensions. Penerapan 5R di SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Jatinom belum terinternalisasi secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan buku panduan budaya kerja 5R berbasis nilai religius. Metode menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE melibatkan 85 guru dan karyawan, serta validasi sepuluh ahli. Hasil menunjukkan kondisi 5R saat ini berada pada tahap pembiasaan namun bergantung pada pengawasan eksternal. Nilai religius strategis seperti amanah dan disiplin diintegrasikan ke dalam elemen 5R. Produk dinyatakan layak kategori "Baik" (skor 3,60) oleh ahli. Uji lapangan menunjukkan produk praktis (3,48), efektif (3,48), dan diterima baik (3,56) oleh 90,5% pengguna. Integrasi nilai religius mengubah persepsi 5R dari beban administratif menjadi ibadah, meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik. Disimpulkan buku panduan layak diadopsi sebagai panduan institusional permanen untuk membangun budaya kerja berkelanjutan melalui keseimbangan dimensi teknis, pedagogis, dan spiritual. Abstract

The Hulla Poddu ritual is a sacred practice of the people of West Sumba that represents the relationship between humans, nature, and ancestors within the Marapu belief system. This study aims to uncover the semantic structure of icons, indices, and symbols in this ritual through Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic approach. A descriptive qualitative method was applied using triadic analysis. The results of the study indicate that icons are manifested in offerings of agricultural products such as corn, rice, sweet potatoes, betel, and areca nuts, as well as ritual attributes including water, kitchen ash, coconut shells, star-shaped woven coconut leaves, and ritual movements such as pounding rice or swinging a machete. Indexes are identified through the sounds of gongs and drums as the ritual’s opening markers, the blood of sacrificial animals chickens, pigs, buffalo, and horses customary prohibitions, and the smoke from burning offerings, which signify a causal connection with ancestors. Symbols are constructed through the kataga incantations recited by the Rato Marapu, sacrificial animals, traditional black attire, and the Hulla Poddu as the “sacred month,” which establishes a performative collective sacredness. These findings affirm the ritual as a living, contextual cosmological sign system, offering a theoretical contribution to the understanding of the semiotics of agrarian rituals in Eastern Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of the school environment, learning activities, parental attention, and the availability of learning resources in shaping students’ learning motivation through a literature review approach. The study employed a qualitative method using thematic content analysis of academic literature, comprising journal articles and books relevant to the topics of learning motivation and educational psychology, published between 2000 and 2015. The analysis was conducted through the stages of source collection, coding of key concepts, thematic grouping, and drawing conclusions based on the interrelationships between factors. The results of the study indicate that a conducive school environment, both physically and socially, creates a sense of security and encourages student engagement in learning. Meaningful and challenging learning activities contribute to the development of intrinsic motivation through experiences of competence and positive social interaction. This study concludes that students’ motivation to learn does not exist in isolation, but is shaped by the synergy of environmental, pedagogical and family factors, and provides a conceptual basis for the development of more holistic educational practices.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the types of misconceptions experienced by fourth-grade elementary school students regarding quadrilaterals through a literature review approach. This is a qualitative descriptive study using a literature review approach (library research). The data analysis technique employed is the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, which includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data sources consist of articles from national scientific journals obtained through searches of the electronic databases Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and SINTA. The results of the study indicate three main types of misconceptions consistently found among students, namely misconceptions regarding the position of quadrilaterals (classificational misconceptions), misconceptions regarding the terminology of quadrilaterals (theoretical misconceptions), and misconceptions regarding the relationships between quadrilateral shapes (correlational misconceptions). These three types of misconceptions stem from a lack of variety in the presentation of material, learning habits that rely on rote memorization, and students’ weak prior knowledge. Therefore, appropriate and comprehensive intervention is needed through a cognitive conflict approach, the use of diverse learning media, and the use of concept maps to ensure that misconceptions do not become obstacles to the development of students’ mathematical understanding in subsequent educational levels.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of the "Make-a-Match" method on students' interest in mathematics at SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta, while assessing whether its effectiveness differs significantly from conventional teaching approaches. The research employed a quantitative methodology with a quasi-experimental, non-equivalent control group design. Data were gathered through a learning interest questionnaire, which was rigorously validated by subject matter experts and confirmed reliable through analysis using Excel and IBM SPSS 25 for Windows. Statistical analysis was performed using paired and independent sample t-tests at a 5% significance level, ensuring all data met the required assumptions for normality and homogeneity. In instances where these assumptions were not met, Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests were utilized as non-parametric alternatives. The findings reveal that the "Make-a-Match" method has a positive and significant influence on students' interest in learning mathematics at SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. While the comparative analysis did not show a statistically significant difference between the "Make-a-Match" and conventional groups, a critical distinction emerged: the "Make-a-Match" method produced a significant improvement in student interest, whereas the conventional method showed no such effect. This indicates that the "Make-a-Match" approach is a more effective strategy for fostering mathematical interest among students compared to traditional teaching methods.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of LMS SIMAK Darunnajah in Arabic language learning to improve information technology management competencies in the Software Engineering study program at Darunnajah University. This pesantren-based university in South Jakarta faces a unique challenge: maintaining classical Islamic learning traditions particularly Arabic, while actively developing students' digital capabilities. Using a mixed-methods approach involving 50 students and 2 lecturers during the 2025/2026 academic year, results show that LMS SIMAK Darunnajah increased Arabic learning outcomes by an average of 34.2% (from 67.3 to 78.8), with all components showing statistically significant improvement (p<0.01). IT management competency scores reached 78.5% (Good category), significantly higher than the conventional approach at 50.6%. Student satisfaction index reached 82.7%, with the highest scores on flexibility of learning time (88.4) and integration with pesantren values (85.9). The novelty of this research lies in the simultaneous integration of Arabic learning content and IT management competency through an Islamic boarding school-based LMS platform, producing an Integrated Digital Pesantren Model (IDPM) that has not been explored in previous studies

Abstract

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is a strategic approach that emphasises the integration and coordination of cross-functional business activities, ranging from the procurement of raw materials and the production process to the distribution of products to end consumers. This study aims to analyse the role of SCM in enhancing operational efficiency and corporate competitiveness amidst the challenges of globalisation and the accelerating digitalisation of the economy. The research method employed is a literature review using a descriptive-qualitative approach, involving a systematic search and analysis of textbooks, reputable national and international journal articles, and research reports relevant to the topic of SCM. Data were analysed by grouping findings based on aspects of supply chain integration, the utilisation of information technology, and collaboration among business partners. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of an integrated SCM is capable of improving a company’s operational performance through reduced lead times, lower logistics costs, increased flexibility, and improved service quality. Furthermore, the use of information technology and strategic partnerships among supply chain participants has proven to be a key factor in creating sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

Learning German in schools requires materials tailored to students' needs to ensure optimal learning. Therefore, a learning needs analysis is a crucial step in determining appropriate materials, media, and methods. This study aims to examine German language learning needs, focusing on school themes. The method used was a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection through literature reviews from various journals related to German language learning. The results indicate that German language learning needs to emphasize several key aspects: vocabulary mastery (Wortschatz), language structure (Grammatik), and communicative expressions (Redemittel), relevant to students' lives in the school environment. Furthermore, students need engaging, interactive, and easily accessible learning materials and media, such as through digital media or smartphones. Therefore, learning materials that are contextual and relevant to students' daily lives can help improve their understanding and motivation to learn German. This learning needs analysis serves as an important foundation for developing more effective teaching materials and media tailored to student characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of inside-foot passing skills in football among players of Massenrempulu FC in Enrekang Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive method. The study population consisted of 73 players, whilst the sample comprised 30 players. Data collection was carried out through an inside-foot passing skills test and observation sheets. The data obtained were analysed using descriptive statistics with the aid of SPSS version 20.00. The results of the study showed that 22 players (73%) were in the ‘very good’ category, 7 players (23%) in the ‘good’ category, and 1 player (4%) in the ‘average’ category, whilst no players were in the ‘poor’ or ‘very poor’ categories. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the inside-foot passing skills of Massenrempulu FC players from Enrekang Regency are classified as very good with an average score of 9.03, meaning that the players’ basic passing ability meets the expected skill criteria in football.
