Abstract

The aim of holding this activity is to provide an enlightened understanding to the public regarding methodical variants in resolving legal disputes. This Community Service Activity is carried out through several stages which are described as follows: (1) Preparation Stage, including: Location survey, Stabilization and determination of location and targets , Preparation of materials/activity materials, (2) Implementation stage, carried out by: (a) Identification of legal problems to be able to find out the legal problems faced by partners, (b) Legal counseling or socialization is carried out in the form of interactive dialogue or question and answer first. preceded by a presentation or delivery of material from the resource person which is intended as an introduction to the discussion. The methods used during the process of community service activities include: (a) the lecture method chosen to provide direct explanations about the extension material, (b) the question and answer method which allows the community to gain as much knowledge as possible about the extension material. The results achieved in community service activities are socialization (legal counseling) regarding forms of dispute resolution in the community, especially using non-litigation methods. The public's interest in the material presented indicates that instruments to strengthen understanding of dispute resolution are really needed in people's daily lives. On the other hand, changes in societal paradigms in terms of dispute resolution will encourage the realization of complete legal order, both formal and material law so that a comprehensive legal development agenda can be realized.

Abstract

Climate change is a factual issue that threatens the sustainability of human life on earth. it requires requires awareness from all levels of society to solve it. Students as intellectuals and agents of change should have full awareness of the urgency of this problem. But in reality, the students of English Literature study program UHO are still ignorant about this issue. Many of them are not familiar with this problem even though the issue of climate change has also been widely discussed in literary works and it has become its own genre, namely the green literature. Therefore, this worksop is intended to bring students closer to the phenomenon of climate change and make them aware that this is crucial to be tackled immediately. The method used is a training method in which students are guided to create climate change campaign videos based on the results of an analysis of the literary works they have done. The video is then disseminated through the YouTube channel and social media so that it can be accessed by the public. Assessment result of students literary analysis, students participation in discussion and campaign video they produced show that there has been an increase in students' understanding of climate change issues and their awareness of the risks of climate change issues. The results of this study are important because the impact of this program not only for the students but also spread out to other people who watch the campaign video.

Abstract

The objectives of the Internal Community Partnership Program (PKMI) are: 1). Increasing the knowledge and technical skills of BUMDes managers in developing superior village potential through planning business types and actively involving the community as beneficiaries; and 2). Increase the knowledge and morality of BUMDes managers, so that in developing the village's superior potential they can utilize budgets that are carried out honestly, openly, fairly, professionally and future-oriented. To achieve this goal, the method used was training with a focus on lecture and FGD methods. The PKMI results show that: 1) Training to increase the capacity of BUMDes managers in developing superior village potential, is a vehicle for administrators and business unit managers to identify and ensure appropriate, effective and innovative superior potential in supporting BUMDes programs to increase village income and community welfare; 2) Capacity building training in developing superior village potential becomes a starting point for administrators, business managers and BUMDes program target groups to identify various challenges and obstacles; as well as solving problems, so that they are able to choose the right type of business by involving the community as beneficiaries.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the community's legal understanding of the procedures for resolving disputes over land ownership both litigation and nonlitigation in Onembute Village, Besulutu District, Konawe Regency so as to provide legal certainty and legal protection of land ownership for the community. The methods used during the process of community service activities include (a) lecture method to provide direct explanation to the community (b) question and answer method to explore community knowledge of the material provided. Legal counseling in the form of lectures is organized to provide an explanation of legal material related to the settlement of land rights ownership disputes. The stages of the activity were carried out as follows: First, the preparation stage, which included location surveys, determination of locations and targets, coordination with the Head of Onembute Village, identification of problems or legal issues of concern to the community, and preparation of materials related to the settlement of land ownership disputes. Second, the Implementation Stage, namely conducting legal counseling by providing material explanations that focus on providing explanations regarding the procedures for resolving disputes over land ownership both litigation and non-litigation as a form of education to the Onembute Village community. The results achieved in this service activity are the community's understanding of the settlement of land ownership disputes before and after the implementation of legal counseling activities shows an increase in community knowledge and understanding of 80%, meaning that the service activities carried out have an impact on increasing the legal knowledge and understanding of the Onembute Village community in resolving land ownership disputes.

Abstract

The number of cases of communicable diseases that occur in the community such as Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) which every year is included in the top 10 diseases that occur in the community of Watunggarandu Village. This infectious disease is mostly caused by the low level of community knowledge and unfavorable environmental health conditions and community behavior. The lack of knowledge of the Mata Wawatu Village community is one of the causes of the occurrence of infectious diseases in the community, as well as the high intensity of exposure to material transport vehicles. Service and empowerment activities in the form of outreach to the community are one of the solutions in reducing cases of infectious diseases. Extension activities are carried out using poster media, so that they can attract and increase the seriousness of the community in conducting counseling. Before and after the activity, pre and post tests were carried out regarding community knowledge about ISPA. After counseling, it was shown that the people in Mata Wawatu village experienced an increase in knowledge from previously they did not know about ISPA. With this increase in knowledge, the Mata Wawatu village community can prevent various things that trigger the cause of ARI.

Abstract

This community service is based on the prevalence of bullying behaviour among teenagers, especially in the school environment, which can come from peers, seniors and even other parties in the school environment, such as teachers. Lack of understanding regarding what constitutes bullying, lack of understanding regarding the effects and legal consequences of bullying. Relevant parties make policies regarding bullying in the school environment. The aim of this community service activity is to increase understanding of the law through legal counseling regarding bullying as a form of preventive effort against bullying behaviour in teenagers. . This activity was carried out at SMAN 1 Kendari as one of the favorite schools in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Legal counseling is carried out by means of question-and-answer discussions. The results achieved in this community service activity are that participants in community service activities are able to understand and know about what is categorized as bullying behaviour, how to prevent and report this behaviour. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the students or activity participants which is characterized by positive responses and actively asking questions and answers to the presenters regarding bullying and prevention efforts as well as parties who can be involved in the problem solving process.

Abstract

This Community Service Program has been implemented in Kambu Village, Kambu District, Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, with the target audience, especially the Housewife Group. Like other areas near the sea coast, problems with the availability of clean water and pollution of water sources often occur, including those often faced by the community in Kambu Village, Kendari. The solution and target offered was to carry out outreach and technical guidance as well as a demonstration of developing a simple water purification system, using natural coagulants from plants or plant residues and other local resources, which can be easily obtained in our environment, including Moringa oleifera seed powder or banana peels, as an alternative source of organic coagulant for absorption, agglomerates and neutralizes the surface tension of mud particles and heavy metals contained in waste substances. This service activity was carried out through method stages: socialization (technical guidance and discussion), demonstration and application of appropriate technology for water purification based on local resources, as well as mentoring. This service activity was carried out by actively empowering the target group through outreach activities, demonstrations and technical guidance. The results of service activities showed: 1) the importance of establishing work programs and implementing science and technology that were in accordance with the needs and conditions that exist in the target community; 2) the implemented work program received a very good response, response and attention from the community and local government officials; 3) the community was greatly helped and gains additional knowledge and skills by implementing appropriate technological innovations; 4) with this service program the relationship between higher education institutions as a source of knowledge with the community and local government improved

Abstract

Community Service Program with the title: "Socialization and Training on Bamboo Weaving Crafts for the Karang Taruna Group in the Wawoosu Village, Kolono Sub-District, South Konawe Regency" aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the Karang Taruna group in making bamboo crafts as an effort to create new job opportunities, particularly in the utilization of bamboo as an economically valuable craft. To achieve this, the service team conducts both socialization and training activities for the Karang Taruna group by carrying out socialization about bamboo processing as a weaving craft in this era, followed by training activities to enhance their skills. This is done considering the limited knowledge and skills of the younger generation in utilizing natural resources and the lack of innovation in making bamboo weaving crafts at market value. This service activity is carried out directly at the service location, starting from the identification of problems, workshops related to problem findings, socialization, and promotion of the bamboo processing industri, followed by collaborative production of one of the bamboo processing products, namely bamboo curtains. This activity has received a positive response and has been attended by the Karang Taruna group from the beginning to the end of the program. The socialization activities are focused on increasing the knowledge of the Karang Taruna group in determining target markets, promoting products, and innovating unique product creations. To improve the community's skills, the service team provides training in the form of making unique bamboo curtains.

Abstract

Preparedness is a series of activities to anticipate disasters where increasing preparedness is an important activity to reduce disaster risk in various situations. The results of observations that have been made during field observations at SDN 01 Soropia found several problems such as the unpreparedness of schools in dealing with disasters where the lack of availability of school facilities needed in the event of a disaster. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to increase community preparedness and vigilance, especially school-age children and also school teachers of SDN 01 Soropia by providing socialization / education related to earthquake and fire disasters. The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge and preparedness of students and teachers of SDN 01 Soropia regarding earthquake and fire disasters. The method used in the service is the education method in the form of offline. The result of this service is that teachers and students can understand and apply preparedness for earthquake and fire disasters to help prevent and reduce the impact of disasters that can occur.

Abstract

People in Alebo village, Konda subdistrict, South Konawe Regency, are very familiar with cattle farming because almost all of them raise cattle and work as vegetable and secondary crop farmers. The aim of this activity is to teach how to prepare feed formulations and process drum manure into bokashi fertilizer so that the livestock community gets added value in the form of side income. In the process of raising cattle, these breeders do not optimally understand the system of raising cattle properly and correctly, especially the issue of feed formulation and processing manure into organic fertilizer. This is due to the limited knowledge and skills of farmers in managing their cattle farming business, especially providing feed and managing livestock waste. Based on the results of discussions with farmers, the target to be achieved after implementing the village development program is to increase the knowledge and skills of farmers regarding ration formulation techniques as cattle feed that meet quality standards by utilizing local feed raw materials, and processing livestock waste into fertilizer bokashi.
