Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how flexible work arrangements (FWA) affect employee retention among Indonesian Generation Z workers, using work-life balance (WLB) as a mediating variable. The high turnover rate among Generation Z, who value freedom but are prone to suffering an imbalance between their personal and professional life, serves as the study's backdrop. 140 Generation Z employees of a startup company were given questionnaires to complete as part of this study's associative quantitative method. Using SmartPLS 3.0 software, the Partial Least Square-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) method was used to analyze the data. The findings demonstrated that employee retention was positively and significantly impacted by flexible work options. Additionally, as work-life balance had a positive and large impact on employee retention, FWA also had a favorable and significant impact on work-life balance. The study's primary conclusion is that the association between flexible work schedules and employee retention is partially mediated by work-life balance. The study's conclusions suggest that in order to successfully retain Generation Z talent, organizations must support work-life balance and embrace flexible work practices.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship and impact of compensation, work environment, and task complexity on the level of commitment shown by employees at CV. Lifestone. The type of research conducted by the author in this study is descriptive quantitative research, which collects data from 90 respondents. The research location chosen by the author to test the hypothesis is at the CV. Lifestone office located at Permata Gedangan Warehouse Complex, Block AF No. 1, Bohar, Gedangan District. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS 5.0 software, including Outer Model Test Analysis, Validity Test, Reliability Test, Average Variance Extracted (AVE) Test, R-square Test, and Hypothesis Test. The results show that compensation positively affects employee work commitment (T=6.831, p=0.000), work environment positively affects employee work commitment (T=4.849, p=0.000), and task complexity also positively affects employee work commitment (T=5.662, p=0.000). This study found that the three independent variables (compensation, work environment, and task complexity) simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on work commitment, indicating that fair compensation, a supportive work environment (especially job security), and a challenging and coordinated level of task complexity effectively increase employee dedication and responsibility towards the company.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between career adaptability and work family conflict on the job performance of employees at the Semarang Religious High Court. The study employs a quantitative approach using a census method involving 160 employees, consisting of High Court Judges and Civil Servants, with 122 valid questionnaires included in the analysis. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression and Sobel mediation tests with the assistance of SPSS. The results indicate that career adaptability does not have a significant effect on job performance, while work family conflict has a negative and significant effect on job performance. Furthermore, career adaptability has a positive and significant effect on work engagement, whereas work family conflict does not have a significant effect on work engagement. Work engagement is found to have a positive and significant effect on job performance. Mediation analysis reveals that work engagement mediates the effect of career adaptability on job performance. In addition, work engagement is also shown to mediate the effect of work family conflict on job performance. These findings highlight the importance of work engagement as a psychological mechanism in enhancing employee performance in the public sector.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the response of poverty and income to rural credit bank distributors based on Indonesian demographics. The data used is panel data, a combination of time series and cross-section data. The time series data used is data from 2014-2024 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The regions analyzed in this study are Indonesia, which covers 34 provinces. The total sample in this study is 374 samples. The analytical method in this study uses the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model and uses time series data. However, this study uses the ARDL model in the form of panel data. The use of the ARDL model is to see the role of time, theoretical justification and the relationship between one variable and another. The results of the study indicate that poverty and income have a long-term effect on consumer credit distribution. This is evidenced by the probability value of (0.000). Meanwhile, in the short term, only the income variable influences credit distribution. This can be seen based on the 10 percent probability value level, which is 0.08.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze whether global commodity prices, namely palm oil, gold, and crude oil, affect the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period, focusing on short-term and long-term impacts through the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). Based on the analysis, it is concluded that the three commodities have different influence patterns. Palm oil prices have a significant negative impact on the JCI in both the short and long term. Gold prices have a significant positive impact in both time frames. Meanwhile, crude oil prices only show a significant positive impact in the short term, and an insignificant impact in the long term. VECM estimation supports the understanding of transmission mechanisms in an open economy. Global commodity price shocks do not directly affect the domestic stock market permanently, but rather through different adjustment processes between commodities. The variation between short-term and long-term impacts confirms that each commodity has a unique role, level of influence, and duration of impact on the JCI movement.

Abstract

Environmental problems, particularly sanitary pad waste in Indonesia, have driven society to develop sustainable solutions. Menstrual cups are an alternative to sanitary pads that can be used over the long term. However, the level of menstrual cup usage in Indonesia remains relatively low compared to other countries. This study aims to analyze the effect of Negative Electronic Word of Mouth on Purchase Intention through Perceived Risk and Attitude Toward Product as mediating variables. This research employs a quantitative method involving 300 respondents who are women in Indonesia and are aware of menstrual cup products. Data were collected through online questionnaires distributed via Google Forms and analyzed using Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS version 4.0. The results indicate that Negative Electronic Word of Mouth has a negative but insignificant effect on Purchase Intention. On the other hand, Perceived Risk and Attitude Toward Product have a significant effect on Purchase Intention. Furthermore, Perceived Risk and Attitude Toward Product are proven to mediate the relationship between Negative Electronic Word of Mouth and Purchase Intention. These findings emphasize that consumers’ purchase intentions toward a product are not only influenced by information received through social media, but also by consumers’ perceptions and attitudes toward the product.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of location-based voucher promotion strategies on TikTok toward consumer purchase intention, in line with the growing adoption of digital marketing technologies that utilize location-personalized features. The research problem concerns the lack of empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of location-based promotions in influencing purchase intention, since most prior studies focused on general discounts, price promotions, or influencer marketing. A quantitative method was employed by distributing Likert-scale questionnaires to 100 active TikTok users exposed to location-based promotional vouchers. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression to examine the effect of promotional strategy variables on purchase intention. The findings indicate that loca-tion-based promotion strategies have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, as reflected by a regression coefficient of 0,701 and a significance value of 0.000. The R² value of 0.417 shows that 41.7% of the variation in purchase intention is explained by the applied promotional strategy. These results indicate that relevant, contextual, and location-personalized promotions effectively increase consumers’ purchasing tendencies. The study concludes that the use of location-based vouchers on TikTok is an efficient and impactful promotional strategy, providing important implications for busi-nesses in designing more targeted digital marketing activities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of accountability and transparency principles in the management of School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds at MA Bahrul Ulum Muliasari. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed based on the applicable technical guidelines for BOS fund management. The findings indicate that planning and utilization of funds have complied with official regulations and involved the internal school management team, including the principal, treasurer, teachers, and school committee. However, parents and the broader community were not actively involved in the decision-making process. In terms of accountability, fund usage was supported by proper administrative documentation and aligned with the School Activity and Budget Plan (RKAM). Nevertheless, transparency has not been fully optimized, as information regarding fund allocation and realization has not been consistently disseminated through accessible public media. Therefore, while regulatory compliance has been achieved, greater openness in financial information disclosure remains necessary.

Abstract

The development of entrepreneurship teaching materials tailored for non-entrepreneurship study programs is a strategic approach to fostering entrepreneurial mindsets and skills among students from diverse academic disciplines. This study aimed to design and evaluate entrepreneurship teaching materials based on a constructivist approach, integrating the ENTRE model, which combines theoretical and practical components. Employing a mixed-methods Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), the developed module emphasized active learning, problem-solving, and real-world applications, addressing the needs of Community Education students at Universitas Negeri Medan. Validation by experts, practicality assessments by lecturers and students, and effectiveness evaluations through learning outcome tests and interviews demonstrated that the module was valid (average score 4.2), practical (average score 4.0), and effective (test score improvement p < 0.001). Qualitative findings revealed enhanced engagement, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset transformation, overcoming initial challenges such as unfamiliarity with business terminology. This study provides a framework for integrating entrepreneurship education into non-entrepreneurship curricula, promoting intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial competencies relevant to the Indonesian higher education context.
