Abstract

Financial literacy is an important skill for Generation Z, especially SMK students who are preparing to enter the workforce or continue their higher education. At SMK Negeri 2 Penukal, Pali Regency, South Sumatra, class XII students majoring in Software Engineering and Nursing Assistant wanted to improve their knowledge of finance through a community service program. The activity took place in a one-day intensive session, involving 50 students through an interactive approach that included lectures, group discussions, and practical workshops. With pre-test and post-test scores increasing by 38%, the evaluation results showed significant improvement. In addition, 85% of participants demonstrated basic skills in digital money management and a better understanding of investment basics. Despite the limited time, the program successfully provided Generation Z with essential financial decision-making skills, in line with their unique career prospects in technology and healthcare.

Abstract

Sumber Ketempa Village, Kalisat District, has great potential to develop through natural resource management and agriculture. However, limited land is a challenge for some people in utilizing land for agriculture. To answer this challenge, Collaborative Community Service (KKN) students conducted training on Potted Vegetable Plants (TASAPOT) and the manufacture of Natural Pesticides (PESNAB) with a focus on increasing village food security. This program focuses on cultivating mustard greens in pots that are suitable for people with limited land. In addition, the use of natural pesticides from soursop leaves is taught to maintain plant growth naturally and environmentally friendly. The method begins with licensing, distributing invitations to training activities and introducing the background, benefits, and direct practice of planting vegetable seeds, after the seeds are planted, care is carried out until the seeds are ready to be harvested. This training was attended by villagers, especially housewives, who were invited to practice planting vegetables in pots and making natural pesticides. The results of this activity show that the TASAPOT and PESNAB training are effective in increasing awareness and skills of residents in utilizing limited land to support food security. Thus, this initiative is expected to improve welfare and food independence in Sumber Ketempa Village.

Abstract

Digital transformation has changed the marketing landscape, offering new opportunities for rural areas to boost the local economy through marketing digitalization. This program aims to improve the digital literacy and marketing skills of the Ketapanglor Village community, focusing on the use of digital platforms to market local products. The program used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, involving observation, in-depth interviews, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Training and mentoring were provided to participants consisting of PKK mothers, MSME owners, and individuals interested in becoming affiliators. Results showed significant improvements in participants' digital literacy and marketing skills, which contributed to an average 30% increase in sales of local products. Key challenges faced include limited technological infrastructure and participant motivation. Ongoing support and collaboration with local stakeholders were identified as key factors to overcome these barriers. The program successfully improved the economic welfare of the Ketapanglor Village community and contributed to the development of the digital economy at the local level. The implications of the findings emphasize the importance of improving technological infrastructure and continued training to ensure the sustainability of the program. The program can serve as a model for other regions in implementing digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

 The term adolescence comes from the Latin word adolescere which means "to grow" or "to grow into adulthood". Adolescence can be interpreted as a time when someone grows from childhood to maturity. Schools play an important role in the psychological, social and emotional development of a teenager. A positive environment will have an impact on positive mental development and vice versa. At school, children are taught to form positive social interactions, namely creating healthy relationships, mutual respect, appreciation, cooperation and mutual support between students at school. Bullying comes from the word bully which means a bully, a person who disturbs weak people. Smith and Thompson argue that bullying behavior is a set of deliberate actions that cause physical and psychological injury to the victim (Yunistita et al., 2022). Forms of bullying behavior according to Sejiwa (Dewi, 2020) are a). physical bullying, b). verbal bullying and c). mental bullying or also known as social bullying. The impact of bullying on the perpetrator can cause the perpetrator to have a less empathetic attitude and social interaction.

Abstract

Public speaking is an important skill for every person and organization to have. Doing public speaking requires thorough practice to get used to conveying a topic in front of many people. However, in reality, many people and young people have low public speaking skills, which makes it difficult for them to express their opinions in front of many people, so public speaking training was held for this youth group so that participants taking part in the training understand the importance of having public speaking skills and how to improve these skills. Apart from that, public speaking training is needed in youth organizations so that in internal and external communication there is no miscommunication and conveying opinions. The method used in this activity is public speaking training through stand up comedy. Based on the evaluation questionnaire, the Pre-Test and Post Test that were given to 15 training participants showed very good results. Based on the post-test completed by 15 people, there were 10 people who got good results with a score of 76-100, only 2 people got a score of (56-75). This shows a lot of improvement from the previous pre-test results, where only 3 people got good scores.

Abstract

The golden age according to the mentossori approach (Jadi, R. 2020) is a period in the development of the child where he has the potential to learn and understand new things easily and quickly. This activity aims to train early childhood concentration skills through motor sensory games using puzzle media at Permata Hati Kindergarten, Limbang Jaya 1. Children's concentration problems, such as being easily distracted or having difficulty completing tasks, are the basis for the implementation of this program. The activity began with observation to understand the basic condition of the child and then gradually applied puzzle media for interactive learning. The methods used include education in the form of games and direct observation. The results of this activity show that puzzle games can improve children's concentration, fine motor coordination, problem-solving ability and emotional control. From this activity, children are more focused, independent, and motivated when completing tasks either individually or in groups.

Abstract

The role of parents in their children's moral and academic education is key in the formation of a generation of character and achievement. Islamic values provide holistic guidance for parents to assist their children in instilling noble morals while achieving academic success. This article aims to describe the implementation of a workshop designed to increase parents' understanding and involvement in educating their children based on Islamic values. The activity involved interactive sessions, group discussions and practical simulations to provide participants with practical insights. The results of the workshop showed an increase in parents' awareness of the importance of their role in supporting their children's education, both morally and academically. In addition, participants were able to identify concrete strategies that can be applied in daily life to strengthen Islamic value-based education. Thus, this activity contributes to the empowerment of parents as the main partners in building a superior and noble generation.

Abstract

The community service activity titled "Human Resource Management Assistance for Optimizing Teacher and Staff Performance" aims to improve the management of human resources (HR) at the Islamic Integrated Elementary School (SDIT) in Kencong District, Jember Regency. This assistance focused on enhancing skills in planning, performance evaluation, and the use of technology for administration. The measurement results obtained through questionnaires, interviews, and observations show significant positive impacts. The questionnaire indicated an increase in scores regarding HR management understanding, the application of performance evaluations, and administrative efficiency, which improved by up to 90%. Interviews with teachers, staff, and the principal highlighted that the activity helped improve coordination and the use of technology in administration. Observations also noted improvements in the organization and efficiency of work planning structures. Overall, this activity successfully enhanced the performance of teachers and staff by introducing more structured and technology-based HR management. These improvements are expected to have long-term impacts, both on the quality of education and HR management at the school. The success of this initiative not only affects the effectiveness of work at the school but also serves as a model that other schools can adopt to improve HR management and overall educational quality.

Abstract

This community service aims to examine community empowerment in understanding and optimizing a healthy environment in Salak Village, Randuagung District, Lumajang Regency, East Java. This study uses a participatory action research method with FGD techniques for collecting data through interviews and observations. The results of the study indicate that the people of Salak Village do not yet have sufficient understanding of the importance of a healthy environment and do not yet have the ability to optimize their surrounding environment. However, with community empowerment through training and mentoring, the community can have sufficient knowledge, skills, and awareness to optimize a healthy environment and improve their quality of life. This study recommends that community empowerment must be carried out sustainably and involve all relevant stakeholders.

Abstract

The Entrepreneur Training for Anugrah Sukses Berkah Internasional (ASBI) Honey aims to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of the community in managing and developing local honey businesses, particularly pure honey and pure honey with herbal additives. This event was held on February 8, 2025, at the ASBI PT. Auditorium, Metro City, Lampung, with 100 participants from various regions in Lampung. The training featured three expert speakers: Zainal Abidin, the owner of PT. ASBI, who presented the company's profile and strategies for developing ASBI honey business; Ari Suponto, a marketing expert, who explained marketing techniques and product development for ASBI honey; and Habib Ismail, an entrepreneurship practitioner, who shared insights on the importance of an entrepreneurial mindset in managing a business. The method used in this community service is an approach that combines training, education, and mentoring, aimed at providing practical understanding to participants on essential aspects of developing a honey business. Through these training sessions, participants were taught the importance of digital marketing, sound financial management, and product development to increase competitiveness in the market. The outcome of this training is expected to empower the community to professionally and sustainably develop the ASBI honey business while expanding the local honey product market network at the national level.
