Abstract

Abstract The dialogue model is often used in everyday life. The dialogue model is always related to the surrounding environment. One type of dialogue that is often heard is in the poetry of Astaan. Astaan poetry is a poem or song that has the meaning of praising the creator of the universe and contains a motivational sentence. The aim of this research is to find out the meaning of poetry that is often used by the people of Alassumur and its relationship to the social environment. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique is by taking notes and analyzing it using the theory of the social environmental dialogue model. The results of the research found the meaning of praising the creator of the universe and contained a motivational sentence. Examples of data contained in Astaan poetry are jhue agi jealousy, atenah dirty foreigner, iman lontor, immoral kaberek katemor, prostrate ethinah, nabeng dhuntak busy bhen areh, nyare esesah tabuk, moah colmot tak awuduk, penyaket ateh, nyaleh tetanggeh, moso Bik Tretan, Reng Tau Erosoro, Disobedient Dek Reng Tuah, Atobet Ma Bhekus Kalakuan. Therefore, this Astaan poem can be used as an object for ecolinguistic study.  Keywords: praise; dialogue model; poetry

Abstract

One of the benchmarks for determining whether a teacher is capable of critical thinking is their ability to write scientific articles well. Through scientific writing, teachers are required to think critically, logically, systematically, and analytically to find solutions to the problems they face. Currently, there are still few teachers who can write articles well, especially teachers at UPT SDN 186 Taluma. Therefore, the objective of this training is to enhance teachers' skills and abilities in writing high-quality scientific articles and to understand how to utilize AI technology in their research. The methods used in this training include theoretical sessions, demonstrations of the Scite AI application, and hands-on practice in writing scientific articles with instructor guidance. The results of this training show that participants experienced significant improvements in understanding the structure and key elements of scientific articles, as well as their ability to integrate relevant scientific sources through the Scite AI application. Participants also reported improved effectiveness and ease in composing scientific articles using the Scite AI application. In conclusion, this training was effective in enhancing teachers' scientific writing skills and demonstrated the significant potential of the Scite AI application as a tool for academic writing and research.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to help Omah Jamu Argomulyo MSMEs become proficient in using Microsoft Excel to create financial report formats and prepare useful financial reports. The goal of this service is to help MSME owners and managers become more knowledgeable and proficient in creating financial reports, which includes keeping track of everyday activities and creating balance sheets and profit and loss statements. In addition, the course covered how to use Microsoft Excel to generate useful and effective financial report forms for MSMEs. The techniques used include one-on-one training and mentoring sessions that culminate in an activity evaluation, as well as interviews performed prior to service projects. The activity's outcomes demonstrate a notable improvement in MSME owners' capacity to create clear and accurate financial reports. Omah Jamu Argomulyo UMKM is anticipated to improve the effectiveness of financial management through more structured financial reports. Abstract

The publication of scientific works is a crucial aspect in the development of knowledge and career advancement, especially for teachers. Teachers are not only expected to teach, but also to produce scientific works that contribute to the development of science. Although important, many teachers are reluctant to publish because it requires time, energy, and adjustment to scientific journal standards. However, according to Minister of National Education Regulation No. 35 of 2010, publishing scientific works is a requirement for promotion to a higher rank, such as from Grade IVa to IVb. The challenges teachers face in publishing include a lack of information about relevant journals, difficulties in using submission systems like Open Journal System (OJS), and the limited number of journals managed by teachers themselves. Universities play a crucial role in supporting and assisting teachers by providing information, training, and technical assistance related to scientific publications. This community service program was conducted over three months (July–September 2023) and consisted of the following stages: (1) Establishing communication with the Indonesian Language Teachers' Association (MGMP) of Trenggalek District, (2) Collecting articles (84 articles were submitted via Google Forms), (3) Selecting articles, (4) Reviewing articles, (5) Conducting a scientific article writing training session (on July 25, 2023, attended by 60 participants), and (6) Preparing teachers' scientific articles for publication. This program is not only expected to provide tangible benefits for teachers in developing their publication skills but also to strengthen partnerships between universities and schools in efforts to improve the quality of education and research. Abstract

The scientific writing training for early childhood and kindergarten teachers in Singkarak, Solok Regency, aims to enhance the professionalism and writing skills of the teachers. The training was conducted virtually for one day, involving 25 participants. The methods used included lectures, Q&A sessions, group discussions, and practical exercises. Evaluation showed highly enthusiastic and active participation from the teachers, with significant improvement in their scientific writing skills. Evaluation results through writing assignments, satisfaction surveys, observations, and in-depth interviews indicated that participants were able to understand and apply scientific writing techniques more effectively. Technical challenges and varying levels of participant understanding were successfully addressed through an inclusive approach and adequate technical support. The training had a positive short-term impact by increasing the teachers' technical skills and confidence, and it is expected to have a long-term effect on improving education quality through the application of evidence-based teaching practices. Overall, the training significantly contributed to enhancing the professional competence of early childhood and kindergarten teachers in Singkarak. Recommendations for future training include extending the duration, providing individual mentoring sessions, and using more interactive learning media. Abstract

The problem faced by high school students nearing graduation, aside from the final exams, is the confusion in choosing a career path after completing high school. This confusion arises due to the lack of information and guidance regarding students' potential, aspirations, and the paths to achieve their goals. One of the options is continuing their studies, and thus, there is a need for information about study programs and universities that align with the students' potential. SMAN 3 Kefamenanu is one of the schools in the city of Kefamenanu that has a strong willingness to boost motivation so that students are enthusiastic about continuing their studies. The Career Guidance and Counseling Program (PKM Career Guidance) aims to provide information, guidance, and be a discussion partner for consulting on how to discover one's potential and make career choices based on interests and abilities. The methods employed include presentations, Q&A sessions, guid`ance, and discussions. The results of the service show that after consulting, 74% of students are interested in continuing their studies, 13% are employed, and 13% entered a Catholic academy. The career guidance socialization activities related to information about study programs, job prospects, and universities have a significant impact on providing information for further studies. It also increases students' interest in continuing their education to pursue their aspirations. This is evidenced by questionnaire results, with the percentage of students having sufficient information about further studies before the socialization being 42% (fair), and after the socialization, it reaches 98% (very good). Similarly, the percentage of students showing interest before the socialization is 46% (fair), and after the socialization, it reaches 95% (very good).

Abstract

Human resources are considered high quality when they have a high level of education. Human resources with a high level of education are expected to be able to respond to the challenges of the times and keep up with global developments in information technology. Higher education is education that is pursued after completing high school. The purpose of the community service activity is to raise awareness of the importance of higher education through socialization and motivation of high school students in East Lombok. The activity method involves three stages: initial observation, implementation of the activity, and evaluation of the activity results. The results indicate that participants felt the socialization and motivation materials presented provided insights into higher education, interactive presentation of materials, and assistance in understanding career choices to determine their major in higher education. In terms of motivation, participants felt more interested in continuing their education to higher education after participating in the socialization and motivation activities. Abstract

Having an understanding of the formulation of vision and mission is an important thing in producing a vision and mission in accordance with student development and 21st century skills needs. Teachers, principals, and school supervisors in Nagan Raya Regency as participants in the activity strive to produce a vision and mission that is in accordance with these needs. Departing from this, a training was held to design a vision and mission with the aim that each educational unit has a vision and mission in accordance with the development of elementary school students and the needs of 21st century skills. This training was attended by 34 participants and its implementation used the Asset Based Community Development method. Based on the results of the data analysis, it shows that this activity has helped and contributed to improving the understanding and ability of participants in compiling a vision and mission in accordance with the development of elementary school students and the needs of 21st century skills.

Abstract

SMPN 10 Malang is a school that implements inclusive learning, so some of its educational-inclusive programs need to be supported and optimized. In collaboration with the Fine Arts Program at Brawijaya University, SMP 10 Malang facilitates students and university students in learning fine arts through the creation of educational thematic murals. The creation of educational thematic murals is important to provide recreational learning that accommodates the educational needs of both regular and special needs students. The process of creating educational thematic murals involves teachers, 7th and 8th-grade students, and Fine Arts students from Brawijaya University, with the theme of sustainable living. The learning process uses adaptive and collaborative methods. The outcome of this activity is the creation of a sustainable lifestyle-themed mural with 9 themes across 19 sections of the school's front wall. This provides contextual, inclusive, and recreational learning activities for the “special” students of SMPN 10. Additionally, the mural serves an artistic purpose for the school environment, and art students gain a contextual learning medium.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of religious literacy as a strategy for mitigating sexual violence at the Darul Faqih Islamic boarding school. Sexual violence is a complex global issue with significant impacts on the physical, mental, and social health of victims. This phenomenon is also a serious concern in Indonesia, particularly in educational settings, including Islamic boarding schools. Involving 278 students from junior high school and senior high school levels, the program was implemented in two main phases: strengthening religious literacy through workshops that provided comprehensive understanding, and intensive mentoring and practical implementation, including counseling, developing policies for addressing sexual violence, and training practical skills for students and pesantren staff. The results of the program indicate that religious literacy integrated with a practical approach is effective in mitigating sexual violence within pesantren environments. This model not only enhances the individual capacities of students and educators but also contributes to institutional cultural change that supports a safe and gender-equitable educational environment. This initiative makes a significant contribution to the development of contextual and sustainable strategies for mitigating sexual violence in other Islamic educational institutions.
