Abstract

This community service program aims to support the preservation of traditional cultural arts by digitalizing the Panji Asmorobangun masks at Padepokan Asmorobangun in Malang Regency. This digitalization effort focuses on enhancing the visibility and appreciation of Malang’s traditional mask art, which faces challenges related to limited public access and engagement. Employing the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate), the program produces a digital catalog and a 3D virtual reality (VR) model of 74 Panji Asmorobangun masks. Each phase of the ADDIE model provides a systematic framework, beginning with a needs analysis of the padepokan's challenges, followed by catalog design and visual recording of the masks using PolyCam. This process yields interactive 3D representations accessible online to the public. The implementation results indicate that digitalization effectively expands the reach of traditional arts on digital platforms. Ongoing evaluations ensure the program’s sustainability. This digitalization initiative is a critical step in preserving the relevance of traditional mask art through modern technology, retaining core cultural values while inspiring sustainable efforts to preserve local cultural heritage.

Abstract

The use of the internet by Indonesian students has become increasingly significant due to the advancement of information and communication technology. Indonesia has approximately 196.7 million active internet users, with 22% of them being 19 years old or younger. To effectively interact with and process digital information from various media, it is crucial for students to possess digital literacy skills. These skills are essential for adolescents' social interactions to mitigate the negative impacts of lacking skills, security protection, and digital ethics, such as fake news and cyberbullying. To address this, the MA Al-Maarif Singosari environment aims to aid and promote a digital literacy culture. This includes socializing the four pillars of digital literacy and reinforcing these skills through creating educational posters, which are grammatically correct, use appropriate vocabulary, and feature attractive and relevant illustrations. Feedback and coaching are also provided to improve the posters. As a result of this service, participants can improve digital literacy culture by making good practices for making cyber bullying prevention posters that can increase participants' awareness to be ethical and cultured while using digital media, so that digitally proficient but still humane humans are formed who can improve the quality of education and eradicate cyber bullying in the school environment.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the competence of nazhir in managing productive social waqf assets in Malang. The target audience includes 36 participants from 12 endowment assets around the campus of Malang State University and Wagir Subdistrict. The implementation methods include endowment asset management training, endowment jurisprudence socialization, and technical assistance using a multi-method approach, including interactive presentations, experiential learning, and on-site mentoring. Key findings indicate a significant improvement in nazhir understanding and skills regarding productive waqf development. However, a KAP (Knowledge, Attitude, Practice) survey revealed knowledge gaps in key aspects of waqf jurisprudence and its practical implementation. While attitudes toward modernizing waqf management are positive, challenges remain in implementing sustainable training and due diligence. Going forward, there is a need for intensive education programs on productive waqf, the development of a nazhir incentive system, and the optimization of performance monitoring. The establishment of a communication forum among nazhirs and multi-stakeholder collaboration in developing a comprehensive training curriculum are recommended to build a professional nazhir ecosystem, thereby optimizing the potential of waqf for the welfare of society.

Abstract

Poetry writers can express ideas and feelings in written form, and present a unity of imaginative language expression with a beautiful rhythm. In the digital era like today, the opportunity to write and publish poetry is wide open. Unfortunately, not all students can take advantage of this opportunity. This also happened to students who are Sanggar Seni Bakat Bumoe (SSBM) members at Bumi Persada University, Lhokseumawe, Indonesia. To solve this problem, this community service team carried out service by training SSBM students to utilize technology to write and publish poetry. Poetry writing training for SSBM students is carried out through three stages: planning, implementation and evaluation. The planning stage includes collecting data on SSBM students' knowledge and enthusiasm in writing and discussing SSBM leadership elements to prepare a training activity plan. The implementation stage includes explaining the nature of quality poetry and the opportunity to be accepted in print and electronic media. The implementation stage also includes mentoring students in writing poetry and checking and providing comments and suggestions on student poetry. After revising the poems according to the comments and suggestions, students were also asked to publish them on Instagram. At the evaluation stage, the service team conducted an evaluation and interviewed SSBM leaders and students regarding the implementation of the training. The results of the interviews showed that this training contributed to increasing the enthusiasm of SSBM students to write as well as increasing their knowledge and skills in writing and publishing poetry.
