Abstract

Islamic teachings do not distinguish between the rights of women and those of men with regard to family life and social life. The Quran includes many verses on the subject of women's rights. Through textual interpretation, it can be seen that women have rights that are analogous to those of men, despite certain differences in certain areas, which can be attributed to the differing roles and responsibilities typically assumed by men. In Islam, women also possess rights similar to those of men, though certain matters differ. This discrepancy is attributed to the primary functions and responsibilities assumed by men. The following are examples of rights afforded to women in Islamic law: the right to receive an education, the right to receive a dowry and maintenance, the right to initiate divorce in instances where continuation of the marriage would result in harm, the right to inherit and the right to claim material compensation. In civil law, women's rights include: Women are accorded equal status with men with respect to their rights. In principle, women have the same freedom to pursue and obtain their rights as men, with the sole exception of married women and minors.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate and analyze the impact of Islamic education on the social-emotional development of students at ABC MTs. This research employs a qualitative approach utilizing case study methodology to gain insight into the subject matter. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and learners, and document analysis pertaining to curriculum and Islamic educational activities at ABC MTs. The findings of this study indicate that Islamic education at ABC MTs plays a significant role in fostering social and emotional growth in students. The Islamic education programme at ABC MTs instills Islamic moral and ethical values through religious learning and worship practices. These facilitate learners' awareness of social responsibility, concern for others, and the ability to manage and cope with emotions when interacting with others. The comprehensive Islamic education curriculum, integrated with general education, provides a strong foundation for the development of learners' social-emotional skills. Furthermore, ABC MTs also emphasises character education through the provision of examples and guidance by teachers and staff who serve as Islamic role models. In addition to this, the supportive environment of a pesantren, along with the social norms applied, play an important role in the shaping of social-emotional qualities. The outcomes of this study offer insights and a better understanding of the contribution of Islamic education in the social-emotional development of learners at ABC MTs. These findings can be used as a reference point for other Islamic education institutions in strengthening the social-emotional dimensions of learners through an integrated approach between religious education, character, and the educational environment.

Abstract

This February, Indonesia will hold a democratic party to elect members of parliament and the president. Of course, the political and national atmosphere became warm with various political ripples and upheavals occurring, including political campaign activities, both political party campaigns and campaigns for Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates. Various attributes and activities of political campaign speeches are interesting to study from various aspects, including the aspect of language use. This research aims to identify forms of code mixing found in KompasTV YouTube comments. This research method uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data for this research are comments from internet users (netizens) that researchers observed through screenshots from the comments column on the KompasTV YouTube channel. The data comes from the comments column of the KompasTV YouTube channel which contains elements of code mixing. Data collection techniques use listening, note-taking and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed using the Mills and Huberman model through the stages of data identification, data reduction, data analysis, and data presentation. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the code mixing that many netizens do in the comments column occurs at the word level. This is very possible because comments in word form are simpler, more practical and "to the point".

Abstract

This study explores the factors influencing social self-efficacy and alexithymia among adolescents, with a focus on gender, educational level, and sibling composition. A sample of 234 adolescents was analysed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation analyses. The results indicate no significant gender differences in social self-efficacy and alexithymia. However, significant differences were observed across educational levels, with college students exhibiting higher social self-efficacy and lower alexithymia compared to younger students. Additionally, adolescents with siblings demonstrated higher social self-efficacy and lower alexithymia than only children. The study also found significant negative correlations between social self-efficacy and the subscales of alexithymia (Difficulty Identifying Feelings, Difficulty Describing Feelings, and Externally-Oriented Thinking), suggesting that higher social self-efficacy is associated with better emotional awareness and expression. These findings highlight the importance of tailored interventions that address both social and emotional skills, particularly for younger adolescents and only children.

Abstract

The study of Aqidah has been found to be of great importance in the education of students. The scope of Aqidah that allows students to form noble morals will result in them becoming qualified humans in all aspects of life. From the perspective of Aqidah, which plays a role in the formation of human morals, it can be said that humans can avoid despicable morals as a manifestation of the teachings of Islamic Aqidah. The morals derived from the Qur'an and hadith serve as the foundation for the development of spiritual values, which in turn produce quality generations. Aqidah and morals are inextricably linked; noble morals serve as a reflection of a person's personality and can elevate one's status. Moral education can be considered a form of moral education within the context of Islamic education. The objective of this study is to examine the learning of moral creed among students at XYZ School, and to assess the efficacy of this learning in fostering the formation of religious character. The study employs a multi-methodological approach, including observational techniques, in-depth interviews, and the analysis of documentary materials. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of moral creed learning at XYZ School has a significant impact on fostering the realization of student morals. The cultivation of character education is a value that should be embraced as a foundation of nationhood, as it serves as a cornerstone for Indonesian children to cultivate the requisite qualities to thrive as citizens of a nation, in alignment with the character values that are reflective of the nation's cultural heritage.. It is a highly effective approach that enables students to learn how to have morals towards themselves, to parents, to fellow friends, and to the wider community, which can be applied in everyday life.
