Abstract

Hand sanitizer is an alcohol-based hand washing product that can be available in liquid or gel form. Hand sanitizer can kill bacteria and germs on the surface of the hands without having to rinse with water. Bay leaf extract (Syzygium polyanthum) has been known to have antibacterial properties, so it is necessary to make hand sanitizer products based on bay leaf extract. The process of presenting PkM material is carried out using the lecture method assisted by infocus equipment. Meanwhile, the process of making liquid hand sanitizer products is carried out through a demonstration method. The results obtained in this PkM activity are a liquid hand sanitizer product that has a pH of 5, a distinctive bay leaf aroma and hand sanitizer products that are yellowish green or which are usually different from the color of hand sanitizer products in general. Hand sanitizer products are safe to use on the surface of the skin because the pH adjusts to the skin's pH of 4.5 - 6.5. The results of this PkM were also measured based on the post-test conducted on the training participants which showed that as many as 95% of the training participants or as many as 19 people out of 20 participants received an average score of 85 which indicated that the training participants had understood and were able to demonstrate this PkM activity with good. Meanwhile, there was 1 participant or 5% of the participants who got a score of 60, which means they did not understand this PkM activity well.

Abstract

Asam urat sebagai hasil metabolisme senyawa purin atau xanthin, peningkatan konsumsi senyawa purin atau xanthin menyebabkan akumulasi kristal dari senyawa asam urat dengan notabene sukar larut dalam air. Asam urat darah dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, misalnya makanan kaya purin dan xanthin, suku, physic activity, supply alkohol, dan usia. Darah hanya mampu menampung sampai tingkat tertentu, kadar melebihi daya larut, di atas 6,8 mg/dl disebut hiperurisemia, Hiperurisemia bisa berlangsung lama dan sebagian bias menjadi artritis gout. Gout dikenal sebagai penyakit yang dapat menyebabkan penderita mengalami nyeri yang hebat pada sendi. Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan dan pemeriksaan kadar asam urat darah peserta. Masyarakat diharapkan dapat menambah pengetahuan tentang kadar asam urat darah sehingga mengurangi resiko Gout. Serta mengetahui kadar asam urat darah peserta pada saat pengecekan.

Abstract

Childbirth is a natural process that every pregnant woman will experience. Labor is defined as the stretching and dilation of the cervix due to contraction of the uterine muscles to promote the expulsion of conception. The labor experienced was a painful, most maternity mothers began to feel the peak of pain in the first stage of the active phase, namely in the maximal dilatation phase and deceleration phase. , and strong so that the sensation of pain felt increased by HIS and the opening of labor affected the pain felt by the mother. The more intense the HIS and the bigger the opening, the stronger the pain, so it requires birthball exercises as a decrease in labor pain scale during pregnancy, Counterpressure is a massage by placing the heel of the hand or the flat part of the hand, massaged 20 minutes every hour during labor will be more free from pain, can manage fear, create a feeling of comfort, relax and respond positively, Birth ball is a physical therapy ball that helps mothers in the first stage of labor to kneel and lean on the birthball can reduce pain so that mothers are more comfortable . When the birthing adjust the position, control anxiety and have a birth attendant who can divert her mind from the perception of pain, the pain will decrease. So the combination of Counterpressure Birth Ball is very important for pregnant women to learn when they want to give birth.

Abstract

GCS adalah metode yang paling populer untuk menilai status neurologis dan derajat keparahan disfungsi otak termasuk cedera ketua Ada tiga komponen yg dievaluasi berdasarkan GCS yaitu respon mata, lisan & motorik. Cidera kepala merupakan gangguan traumatik yang disertai atau tanpa disertai perdarahan interstitinal pada substansi otak tanpa diikuti terputusnya kontinuitas otak. Cedera kepala didominasi pada kecelakaan berkedaraan bermotor (50), ini merupakan salah satu penyebabnya, yaitu sepeda motor, mobil, truk, sepeda, dan pejalan kaki yg tertabrak tunggangan. Usia 65 tahun biasanya mengalami cedera kepala berat 2 kali lipat lebih besar terjadi mortalitas daripada usia di bawah 65 tahun, dan biasanya penyebab utamanya bermacam-macam.

Abstract

Salah satu cara yang efektif untuk menjaga kesehatan tubuh adalah dengan menjaga kebersihan, salah satunya adalah kebersihan tangan. Salah satu bakteri yang paling sering mengkontaminasi kulit tangan adalah Staphylococcus aureus. Penggunaan gel antiseptik (Hand sanitizer) yang mudah dan praktis semakin diminati masyarakat. Kebanyakan produk gel antiseptik tangan menggunakan alkohol sebagai antibakteri. Kemiri adalah salah satu tumbuhan dengan berbagai manfaat pada setiap bagian pohonnya. Kemiri dapat dimanfaatkan baik sebagai obat-obatan tradisional, bahan makanan, bahan pewarna, penerangan dan berbagai kegunaan lain. Namun belum ada studi yang meneliti apakah formulasi sediaan Gel Hand sanitizer minyak kemiri (Aleurites moluccana) efektif sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas antibakteri minyak kemiri terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus setelah diformulasikan dalam sediaan gel Hand sanitizer pada 3 formula dengan konsentrasi F1=5%, F2=10% dan F3=15%. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental. Untuk mengetahui efektivitas anti bakteri minyak kemiri (Aluerites moluccana) terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus. aureus setelah diformulasikan kedalam sediaan gel Hand sanitizer. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada formulasi F3 dengan kosentrasi 15% dapat menghambat aktivitas bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dengan zona hambat sebesar 19 mm dengan hasil sediaan gel yang homogen, pH sebesar 5 mendekati pH kulit, tidak mengiritasi kulit dan daya sebar menunjukkan hasil yang merata ke seluruh permukaan kulit yaitu 5 cm. Terdapat penghambatan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus setelah minyak kemiri (Aleurites moluccana) diformulasikan kedalam sediaan gel Hand sanitizer.

Abstract

Broiler chicken meat is a food source of animal origin that is widely consumed in Indonesia. The affordable price makes the demand for broiler chicken meat increasing. Chicken meat is easily contaminated by various microorganisms from the surrounding environment. Several types of microbes that can contaminate meat include E. Coli bacteria, Clostridium botulinum bacteria, Clostridium Perfringens, Salmonella bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus, and Anthrax. Microbial contamination in the form of Salmonella bacteria is generally found in broiler chicken meat. To overcome microbial contamination, the researchers conducted research on the effect of ginger on reducing the number of bacteria in chicken meat. This socialization aims to provide information to the public to be able to use ginger as an inhibitor and reduce the number of pathogenic bacteria and food destroyers in chicken meat. The results of this socialization were obtained from previous research which concluded that a decrease in the number of bacteria was due to the administration of ginger. This is because ginger contains secondary compounds such as phenols, treponoids and benzaldehyde which are bacteriostatic so that they function to inhibit the growth of microorganisms. The results of the socialization carried out in the community around Lubuk Pakam stated that they understood the processing and storage techniques (100%).

Abstract

Several measures to maintain life in cardiac arrest according to the American Heart, namely the application of a chain of survival, namely first aid when cardiac arrest occurs until treatment afterward. The rule of five is a rhythm calculation technique in chest compressions using the numbers 1,2,3,4,5, and 6 which adopts only 2 syllables. The purpose of this community service is to determine the ability of nurses to perform chest compressions based on the rule of five on the depth and frequency of chest compressions at Grandmed Hospital, Lubuk Pakam District, Deli Serdang Regency. The results of community service before being given a workshop show that nurses who perform chest compressions based on the rule of five to patients, namely all respondents have different percentage levels, namely good category as many as 7 people (23.3%), sufficient category as many as 14 people (46.7% ), and the less category as many as 9 people (30%). While the results obtained after being given a workshop show that nurses who perform chest compressions based on the rule of five to patients, namely all respondents have an increase in different percentage levels, namely the good category as many as 17 people (56.7%), the sufficient category as many as 9 people (30%), and the less category as many as 4 people (13,3%). The chest compression calculation system applied is the rhythm calculation system, namely and one, and two, and three, and four. If chest compressions are carried out properly and correctly according to the rules, compression pauses and consistency will create good tissue perfusion.

Abstract

Decreased immune system function can occur when the invasion of foreign substances cannot be balanced by immune cells. So, we need substances or materials that can improve the immune system and increase its regulation. Rimbang fruit (Solanum torvum Swartz) is a native vegetable that has been consumed by local people for a long time. Previous research stated that rimbang fruit is rich in phenolic compounds, namely flavonoid derivatives, namely flavonols (quercetin, kaempferol, and myricetin) and flavones (apigenin and luteolin). These secondary metabolites indicate that rimbang fruit has the potential to regulate the regulation of the immune system supported by its high antioxidant power. The research method used experimental methods, extraction method with 96% ethanol solvent maceration method. Variations in the dose of rimbang fruit extract used were doses of 50%, 100%, 200%, and 400%. The positive control used was Levamisole. The negative control used was CMC-Na 0.5%. The immunomodulator test method uses the antibody titer method using male rats as test animals. Immunogens used sheep red blood cells. Information provided to pharmacy students. From this it was concluded that the rimbang fruit extract had an immunostimulating effect at an optimal dose of 400 mg/kg body weight. These findings are shared with students and the public through Zoom meetings to help them understand the benefits of rimbang as an immunostimulator.

Abstract

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) This is an infectious disease characterized by the growth and multiplication of bacteria in the urinary tract. The most common etiology in more than 80% of uncomplicated UTI cases is Escherichia coli, and less than 50%, Proteus spp, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter spp, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus, and Enterococcus. Candida species are a common cause of urinary tract infection in patients with severe chronic catheterization. The clinical forms of UTI are classified according to age, intensity of inflammatory response, and location of urinary tract infection. Children aged 2 months to 2 years with a UTI require special attention because they are likely to have atypical clinical presentations, invasive urine specimen collection, and kidney injury. This study aims to determine the dosage and composition of the antibiotic ciprofloxacin in patients with urinary tract infections at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital for the period November-December 2021. The method used is a descriptive assessment because it aims to provide an objective picture or description of the situation. Data collection was carried out retrospectively. thing in the growth and development of babies. Education that utilizes natural plants and has benefits for mothers and babies can be given to the community to help practice increasing breast milk through consumption of Moringa leaves. The aim of this education is to help mothers use Moringa oleifera leaves as a natural ingredient to increase breast milk. The target for this service is breastfeeding mothers using Leaflet media, video tutorials and Moringa leaves. The methods used are lecture, discussion, and PLA (Participatory Learning and Action) methods. The desired output is to increase education in breastfeeding by increasing milk production by consuming Moringa leaves by 20%. Implementation of dedication is given by doing a pretest and posttest. The results of the implementation showed that the average pretest score was 56.4, the posttest average score after education was 79, the average increase in score was 22.6. This shows that education can increase the utilization of Moringa leaves to increase breast milk production by 40%.
