Abstract

Bullying is an aggressive act carried out continuously by one individual or group against another person who is physically, emotionally or socially weaker. These actions are often carried out with the aim of annoying, hurting, or dominating the victim. Bullying can occur in a variety of settings, including at school, the workplace, online environments, or in general society. Bullying can take many forms, including physical abuse such as beatings or physical attacks, verbal abuse such as taunts or threats, social abuse such as isolating or ostracizing someone, or online abuse such as sending insulting messages or posting derogatory content on social media. Bullying can also be direct, with the perpetrator taking action directly against the victim, or indirectly through spreading harmful rumors or gossip. The impact of bullying is very detrimental to the victim. They may experience mental health problems, including stress, anxiety, depression, and even thoughts of suicide. Victims of bullying may also experience a decline in academic performance, avoid school or work, and have difficulty building healthy social relationships. Prevention and handling of bullying is very important. Education about bullying awareness, development of social skills, and promotion of inclusive attitudes and respect for diversity can help reduce cases of bullying.

Abstract

The role of mothers in preventing stunting is crucial. Therefore, a mother must have extensive knowledge about the nutritional value of food and the preparation of complementary foods for breastfeeding (MP-ASI). Meanwhile, health cadres play a vital role in self-care management of maternal nutrition during pregnancy as an effort to prevent stunting. One of the stunting prevention efforts is through providing nutritious MP-ASI that meets the age requirements of the child. The problem encountered in the Kandang Mas sub-district is that there are still toddlers with weights below the green line, which is a shared responsibility. The purpose of this community service is to maximize the ability of mothers and families in fulfilling children's nutrition. The nutrition education (cooking class) was conducted in December 2023 and was attended by two groups of mothers with infants and toddlers, as well as five posyandu cadres. The methods used included demonstrations, mentoring, and evaluations. The results of this nutrition education were an increase in mothers' knowledge and skills in preparing complementary foods for breastfeeding, enabling mothers of toddlers to practice it at home and enhancing their knowledge to fulfill their role as community mobilizers in preventing and handling stunting. The outcomes of the activity included improved knowledge and skills of mothers in providing children's nutrition and enhanced knowledge and skills of cadres in providing education and mentoring to expectant mothers and mothers of infants/toddlers in their working area. Mothers are expected to apply the knowledge and skills acquired from this activity and share it with other mothers around them. Cadres are expected to apply the knowledge and skills gained to provide education and mentoring to pregnant mothers in their area.

Abstract

Padang Serai Community Health Center data for 2023 shows that there are 56 residents suffering from diabetes mellitus (DM) and 20 residents classified as prediabetic based on the results of monthly fasting blood sugar checks. Based on these problems, community service (PKM) was carried out in the form of a Healthy Living Assistance Program with the aim of providing motivation to residents to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Program activities are divided into three stages, namely: program socialization including how to fill out a healthy living logbook, education via WhatsApp groups, and evaluation. Before and after participating in the program, residents' health parameters were measured. Residents' implementation of a healthy lifestyle is evaluated based on logbook recording. The program activities, which lasted for 3 weeks, were attended by residents, most of whom were mothers with a body mass index classified as obese. The PKM results showed that after implementing a healthy lifestyle there was an improvement in health parameters, namely a decrease in fasting blood sugar levels, total cholesterol, blood pressure and body weight. It can be concluded that the Healthy Living Assistance Program has succeeded in encouraging residents to live healthily in preventing and controlling DM

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases that most people suffer from. Hypertension is known as the silent killer because this disease can cause death without causing symptoms because sufferers are not aware that they have hypertension. Headaches can result in poor blood circulation to the brain and if left untreated can cause stroke and even death. One effort to manage hypertension non-pharmacologically is acupressure therapy. Stimulation of acupressure points can stimulate the release of histamine as a mediator of blood vessel vasodilation. This process results in lowering blood pressure and headaches by causing vasodilation and decreasing blood vessel resistance. The community service methods used are education, blood pressure checks and providing acupressure therapy which will be carried out in RW 2, Sumber Jaya Village, Kampung Melayu District. After carrying out community service activities targeting people who took part in posbindu activities, the results showed that there was an increase in public knowledge about the management of hypertension and the application of acupressure therapy to reduce blood pressure and reduce coconut pain in hypertension sufferers. It is hoped that the public, especially hypertension sufferers, can apply acupressure therapy to lower blood pressure and reduce coconut pain in hypertension sufferers.

Abstract

Increasing knowledge and providing information to the community in Lempuing Village, Bengkulu City, RT 11 RW 03, about coastal community nutrition. The objectives are to increase knowledge about the importance of nutrition, present material related to coastal community nutrition, play the Tricky Card Game, ensure that the community understands the information provided by the extension team, and reduce the prevalence of malnutrition in coastal communities. The method used was education related to nutrition in coastal communities. Obstacles to this coastal community nutrition education activity were that not many residents were able to participate in this activity because many residents went to work and had other commitments that could not be abandoned. In addition, there were some residents who did not show an increase in knowledge. This may be because each person has a different rate of information absorption and each person has a different level of attention. A strategic step to assess the success of the outreach program is for the team to visit the Lempuing Village community to coordinate further with the community. If the outreach program is successful, the next steps will be discussed.

Abstract

The accuracy of diagnosis coding using the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision (ICD-10) is an essential component of medical record quality, health data validity, and healthcare financing systems. However, in practice, various coding errors are still found due to limited staff competence, incomplete clinical documentation, and the lack of continuous evaluation. This community service activity aimed to improve the accuracy of ICD-10 diagnosis coding through training, mentoring, and medical record quality control in hospitals. The program was implemented in stages, including theoretical training and case-based coding exercises, direct mentoring in the medical record unit, and periodic medical record audits as a form of quality assurance. Evaluation was conducted on 100 medical record files before and after the intervention. The results showed that the accuracy of primary diagnosis coding increased from 68% to 90%, while the accuracy of secondary diagnosis coding increased from 60% to 85%. Errors in the use of the fourth character of ICD-10 decreased from 32% to 10%, and the use of overly general codes declined from 28% to 8%. In addition, the completeness of clinical documentation improved from 70% to 92%. This activity proved effective in enhancing the competence of medical record officers, improving the quality of diagnosis coding, and supporting the improvement of health data quality and hospital services. Therefore, continuous training, regular mentoring, and routine medical record quality audits are recommended as sustainable strategies to maintain the accuracy of ICD-10 coding.
