Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of Guidance and Counseling for inclusive children at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura. Inclusion is a special education service for every child with special needs. Of course, it is one of the responsibilities of a guidance and counseling teacher at a school, especially at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura, which is known that SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura is one of the schools that accepts inclusive students. From the data obtained, SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura has eight inclusive students, namely five students with a companion teacher for each student, and three students without a companion teacher. This study uses a qualitative methodology with a phenomenological approach taken from interviews with related BK teachers. Then the data is analyzed through interactive analysis. The results of this study are that BK teachers have an important role in helping inclusive students, including being the coordinator of each companion teacher, taking an approach to help inclusive students develop their potential, both in academic and social fields. The inhibiting factor for the role of guidance and counseling for inclusive students is the lack of assistance for some students due to parental disagreement. However, this is supported by inclusive students in this junior high school who show good development in socializing. Socialization efforts carried out by teachers regarding students with special needs (ABK) help non-inclusive students to understand and accept inclusive students, creating an inclusive and friendly environment for all students.

Abstract

The commercialization of education in Indonesia has shifted the paradigm of education, moving the focus from moral and religious learning to a material orientation. Pesantren, as religious-based educational institutions that prioritize traditional values, face significant challenges in maintaining their identity amidst this commercialization. This study aims to understand 1) the impact of commercialization on pesantren, 2) the challenges they face in preserving their traditional character, and 3) the adaptive strategies that can be applied. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review. The findings show first, that while commercialization provides opportunities to improve educational quality through the adoption of modern curricula and the use of technology, it also risks shifting pesantren’s focus from education based on spiritual and moral values to a material orientation. Second, commercialization also exacerbates social inequality, reduces access for economically disadvantaged groups, and threatens the sustainability of pesantren’s traditional identity. The main challenges faced by pesantren include financial pressure to compete with more established modern educational institutions, changes in the relationship between kyai and santri that are becoming more formal, and the threat to pesantren’s principles of inclusivity and Islamic values. Third, this study suggests that pesantren should maintain a balance between modernization and the preservation of Islamic values by utilizing technology, developing subsidy programs, and strengthening their role as centers for character development. With these strategies, pesantren can survive amidst the pressures of commercialization without losing their identity and core principles.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in overcoming students' difficulties in learning to read the Al-Qur'an at Nurul Yaqin High School as well as supporting and inhibiting factors that help teachers overcome these challenges. Descriptive qualitative field research was used. Data sources are primary and secondary; data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation; checking the validity of the data is carried out by triangulating sources, methods and time; and data analysis is reduction, presentation, and verification. The results show that PAI teachers try to overcome difficulties in learning to read the Al-Qur'an by providing motivation, studying the Al-Qur'an 30 minutes before class time, studying the Al-Qur'an in groups, and collaborating with other subject teachers. Factors that support teachers in overcoming difficulties in learning to read the Al-Qur'an are: (1) support from the school; (2) available facilities and infrastructure, and (3) religious activities. Meanwhile, the factors that hinder it are: (1) often reading the letters of the Koran incorrectly; (2) how to apply recitation of the Koran; (3) how to say hijaiyah letters; (4) difficult to understand recitation; (5) looking for free time to study the Koran. The results of this research show that PAI teachers have a very important role in overcoming students' difficulties in reading the Koran, therefore PAI teachers must really maximize their role in learning at school.

Abstract

The Qur'an is the word of Allah SWT which was revealed gradually (mutawatir) to the Prophet Muhammad SAW through the angel Gabriel and reading it is worship. In addition, the Qur'an also as "hudan” (guidance) for humans so that humans can be guided in carrying out their duties as caliphs on earth. The Qur'an is not just a religious symbol but contains values that are useful for life, including education that guides humans to become civilized and moral people, whoever follows the guidance of the Qur'an, namely studying, understanding and practicing the values of the Qur'an. -Qur'an then Allah SWT promises safety and happiness in this world and in the afterlife. Among these values are found in the Al-Qur'an Surah Al-‘Ankabut verses 16 to 25. This research is a qualitative type of research library research. Library research is collecting data by studying and understanding data that is closely related to problems from books, theories, notes and documents. The data analysis technique uses the content analysis method, which is a method for drawing conclusions after making systematic and objective efforts to identify message characteristics. The results of this research show that the educational values in the Al-Qur'an Surah Al-‘Ankabut verses 16-25, namely First; the value of faith education, second; the value of religious education, third; the value of moral education, and fourth; the value of historical education.

Abstract

The topic deals with education in Nigeria and Niger, challenges and solutions, and aims to identify the challenges facing education in Africa in general and in Nigeria and Niger in particular, and the difficulties that students and pupils suffer from before, during and after school, and the impact of colonial countries on not developing education and learning, controlling the curricula and leaving an educational system that serves their interests, and the researcher follows the descriptive and analytical method, to reach The desired or expected results at the end of the research, and the expected results at the end of the research are, the presence of officials and experts who are interested in developing education in Nigeria and Niger, and the application of curricula on the ground, which helps the community to obtain a good education, and governments are expected to pay attention to public education and provide supplies for this, there is a lack of competencies of employees and experienced professors in government primary schools. Because education in Nigeria and Niger is similar, the difference in the language of education may be a result of colonization, in Niger it is French, and in Nigeria the official language is English, we take a look at some of the history of education in the two countries, and some challenges and solutions.

Abstract

In this village, there are unique traditions in wedding customs, such as muteske rasan, sedekah ngocek bawang, and various cultural practices in the marriage process, including tepak, pinang dabung, and mokun. The entire series of traditions must be carried out by both families of the bride and groom. A symbol represents something that is used to refer to something else based on societal agreement. The use of symbols contains important values, such as culture, morals, and ethics, which must be passed down to future generations to ensure their preservation as part of local wisdom that should be understood by all layers of society. This study employs a literature review method by collecting various references from books and documentation, as well as conducting interviews to understand the phenomena occurring in the field. The data is analyzed using document studies with a descriptive-analytical approach. In understanding this culture, the research is conducted through the perspectives of philosophy, religion, and culture. The results of the study indicate that the symbols of tepak, pinang dabung, and mokun are part of wedding traditions originating from human ideas and materialized into symbolic objects with philosophical meanings. These symbols reflect the behavioral patterns of the community. From a religious perspective, these symbols are considered acceptable and do not contradict Islamic teachings, as their meanings align with religious values. Thus, culture, which is born from human thought, remains in harmony with religious teachings. Essentially, philosophy, culture, and religion are interconnected and would be incomplete without one another.

Abstract

Through the School-Based Management (SBM) policy, principals—as policy makers at the school level—can optimize all available resources to create a more effective and efficient educational process, particularly in the aspects of planning, implementation, and evaluation. However, In parctice, many school principals are still unable to fully implement SBM, resulting in minimal changes in school conditions and management. Therefore, this study aims to examine the role of the principal in the implementation of SBM at SD Negeri 12 Talang Ubi. This research adopts a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data analysis was conducted in three stages: (1) data reduction, (2) data display, and (3) conclusion drawing. Based on findings in the field, the principal has carried out his role professionally in implementing SBM. The principal acts as a role model and motivator for both teaching and administrative staff, and has taken the initiative to propose building renovations and procurement of educational facilities and infrastructure. The researcher concludes that the principal has performed well in leadership, motivating teachers, and improving infrastructure during the SBM implementation. It is recommended that the principal continue to enhance his professionalism to strengthen public recognition and trust in the educational institution.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the models, management strategies, and challenges in implementing entrepreneurship education in Islamic boarding schools. Using a qualitative case study approach. The findings reveal that there reveal four main models in entrepreneurship education in Islamic boarding schools, namely an integrated model between the diniyah curriculum and entrepreneurship, an extracurricular model based on business units, an internship or business incubation model, and an independent economic model based on the Islamic boarding school community. The applied management strategies include the stages of vision and curriculum planning, organizing entrepreneurial structures, implementation based on direct practice (learning by doing), and thematic and continuous evaluation. The main obstacles in its implementation include limited professional human resources, minimal facilities and access to technology, weak partnership networks, and the absence of national regulations that support entrepreneurship education in Islamic boarding schools. The study recommends strengthening human resource capacity, designing a hybrid curriculum based on Islamic values ​​and modern entrepreneurial principles, policy support from the government, and expanding partnership networks as strategic steps towards independence and sustainability of entrepreneurship education in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji manajemen mengajar Pendidikan Islam dan upaya pengembangannya untuk mencapai pembelajaran yang efektif dan bermakna dalam konteks pendidikan modern yang dinamis. Pembahasan mendalam mencakup perencanaan pembelajaran yang matang, meliputi penentuan tujuan pembelajaran yang spesifik, terukur, dapat dicapai, relevan, dan berjangka waktu (SMART), pemilihan metode pembelajaran yang inovatif dan sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa, serta penyediaan sumber belajar yang beragam dan terintegrasi. Strategi pengajaran yang efektif juga dibahas, dengan penekanan pada pentingnya pendekatan pembelajaran aktif, partisipatif, dan berpusat pada siswa. Hal ini mencakup penggunaan metode diskusi, penugasan berbasis proyek, dan pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem-based learning) yang mendorong kreativitas dan berpikir kritis. Evaluasi pembelajaran tidak hanya terbatas pada tes tertulis, tetapi juga mencakup penilaian, dan observasi untuk mengukur pemahaman konseptual, keterampilan proses, dan nilai-nilai karakter siswa. Selain itu, artikel ini juga membahas penyesuaian kurikulum dan metode pengajaran agar tetap relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa di era digital, memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) sebagai media pembelajaran yang efektif dan menarik. Berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi, seperti kurangnya pelatihan guru dalam mengaplikasikan metode pembelajaran inovatif, keterbatasan akses terhadap sumber daya pendidikan yang memadai, dan kebutuhan adaptasi kurikulum yang berkelanjutan, diidentifikasi dan dianalisis secara komprehensif. Sebagai solusi, artikel ini menawarkan beberapa strategi pengembangan, termasuk program pelatihan guru yang berkelanjutan dan terintegrasi, peningkatan akses terhadap sumber daya pendidikan digital, dan pengembangan model pembelajaran yang berbasis problem solving dan kolaborasi yang berpusat pada pengembangan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi para pendidik dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Islam dan menjawab tantangan zaman.

Abstract

The moral crisis affecting Indonesia's younger generation has become a serious concern in the field of education. One of the root causes is the weak internalization of spiritual and ethical values within the learning process. Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which should play a strategic role in character building, often remains confined to a purely cognitive approach. This article aims to analyze and integrate Islamic theological values with pedagogical approaches in PAI as an effort to optimize students’ character development. This research employs a qualitative approach through library research. Data were collected from a wide range of relevant literature, including academic books, journal articles, and educational policy documents. The data analysis used a descriptive-analytical method with content analysis to explore the relationship between Islamic theological concepts and pedagogical strategies in character education. The findings reveal that the integration of theological values—such as tawhid, morality, and worship—with pedagogical approaches that are humanistic, constructivist, and contextual significantly enhances the effectiveness of PAI in shaping student character. These values serve as the moral and spiritual foundation that imbues the entire learning process. The implications of this study highlight the urgency of designing a PAI curriculum that is integrative and holistic, along with the need to train teachers in pedagogical strategies aligned with Islamic theological principles. Thus, PAI can function not only as a medium for transmitting religious knowledge but also as a transformative tool for nurturing well-rounded students who are faithful, virtuous, and competitive in the modern era.
