Lemma : Letters of Mathematics Education (2407-4527) (2460-1047) is a peer-refereed open-access journal which has been established for the dissemination of state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of mathematics education. This journal published twice a year (June and November) by Prodi Pendidikan Matematika STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. All submitted manuscripts will be initially reviewed by editors and are then evaluated by minimum of two Reviewers through the double-blind review process. This is to ensure the quality of the published manuscripts in the journal. Lemma : Letters of Mathematics Education welcomes high-quality manuscripts resulted from a research project in the scope of mathematics education, which includes, but is not limited to the following topics: Realistic Mathematics Education, Design/Development Research in Mathematics Education, PISA Task, Mathematics Ability, ICT in Mathematics Education, Lesson Study for Learning Community, and Ethnomathematics. The manuscript must be original research, written in English or Bahasa Indonesia, and not be simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical reasoning abilities on number pattern material using PMRI. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. This study consisted of three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the data analysis stage. The research subjects were 3 class VIII students at SMP Negeri 9 Palembang. The data collection technique is a written test which consists of 2 description questions and interviews. The results of the written test which amounted to 2 description questions related to the number pattern material were used to see their abilities, while the interviews were used to clarify how the students' strategies were in answering the problems in the test questions. The data analysis technique is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, the indicators of mathematical reasoning ability that appear most often are making conjectures and finding patterns or characteristics of mathematical phenomena to make generalizations, while the indicators that rarely appear are drawing conclusions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the development of geometry learning outcomes for class VIII SMP students through the application of constructivist learning using interactive multimedia. The research method used is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were 32 junior high school students. Data collection tool in the form of learning tests. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive statistical analysis and graphical methods. The implementation of this research consisted of three cycles which identified more than 70 indicators of the success of students' attitudes and learning outcomes of geometry. The results obtained, the application of constructivism through interactive multimedia can improve student learning outcomes. However, this growth is still far from expectations. Only 15.625% of students feel their learning outcomes have increased and the rest are constant or variable. In the final test of this study, only 72.875% of students reached the set criteria.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and produce a quality Interactive Digital Book in terms of validity, practicality and effectiveness in calculus courses. The research was carried out by the Informatics Engineering study program at PGRI Madiun University. The research steps are guided by the Borg and Gall model. The results of the research are 1) the Interactive Digital Book is declared very valid with an average assessment result by media validators of 85.33%, 2) the Interactive Digital Book is declared very practical as obtained from student response questionnaires with an average value of 80.00%, 3) The Interactive Digital Book was declared effective, with an average score of 92.08, while the percentage of student learning completion results was 92.85%, thus the Interactive Digital Book was said to be effective. So the Interactive Digital Book on exponential functions is suitable for use in calculus courses.

Abstract

This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach that aims to describe students’ mathematical digital literacy skills in solving PMRI questions in the Palembang tourism context. This research was conducted because mathematical digital literacy is an important thing for students to have. In this study, test questions were distributed to determine students mathematical digital,literacy skills. The subjects in this study were grade VI Elementary School students. The implementation procedure in this study consisted of three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the data analysis stage. Data collection techniques in this study were test and interviews. While the data analysis techniques in this study were data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclutions. Based on the results of research representative with three student subjects, the aspects that most often appears are communication literacy, visual literacy and technological literacy. Meanwhile, aspects that rarely appear are information literacy and media literacy.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya penerapan model pembelajaran yang tidak tepat dan kurang optimal dalam menggunakan media belajar. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk melakukan kajian literature review terkait Model Discovery Learning (DL)  berbantuan Media Alat Peraga pada Matematika. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi semua artikel yang terkait dengan penelitian serupa. Artikel yang digunakan sebanyak 12 artikel jurnal yang diperoleh dari database google scholar yaitu aplikasi Publish or Perish. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa model Discovery Learning (DL) berbantuan alat peraga pada matematika meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa, minat belajar siswa, kreativitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa,  serta aktifitas siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Dengan demikian,  penggunaan model Discovery Learning (DL) dengan alat peraga dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami dan meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan Electronic Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (E-LKPD) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) guna mengasah kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi matriks di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Jiwan. Proses pengembangan E-LKPD ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pengembangan, validasi, serta uji coba produk. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation).  Aktivitas pembelajaran dalam E-LKPD disesuaikan dengan sintaks PBL dan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil dari penelitian ini pada tahap pengembangan, produk dikembangkan dan diuji melalui validasi ahli materi, dan media, diperoleh  nilai rata-rata validasi yaitu 92,5% memenuhi kriteria sangat valid. Nilai kepraktisan diperoleh rata-rata 81% dari uji terbatas dan 84,88% dari uji lapangan sehingga dikategorikan praktis. Sedangkan, nilai keefektifan diperoleh rata-rata 76% dari uji terbatas dan 76,72% dari uji lapangan sehingga dapat dikategorikan efektif. Dengan demikian, E-LKPD berbasis PBL layak digunakan dan efektif untuk mengasah kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik.

Abstract

Rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep dan berkurangnya waktu belajar di masa pandemi Covid-19 di kelas XI MIPA 1 merupakan latar belakang dari penelitian ini. Sehingga tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran Blended Learning terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 SMAN 2 Gunung Talang Kab.Solok. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pra- eksperimen dengan desain one shot case study. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling, dipilih kelas XI MIPA 1 berjumlah 30 orang siswa sebagai sampel penelitian. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu berupa tes akhir berbentuk uraian dengan reliabilitas tes adalah 0,361. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan analisis data dan taraf nyata 0.05, diperoleh t hitung = 3.05 dan t tabel = 1,69, karena t hitung > t tabel maka tolak H0. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran Blended Learning terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 SMAN 2 Gunung Talang Kab.Solok.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence, self-confidence and self-regulated learning on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Mathematical reasoning is an important ability that needs to be developed in learning mathematics. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods. The independent variables in this research are emotional intelligence, self-confidence, and learning independence, while the dependent variable is mathematical reasoning ability. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires to measure the variables emotional intelligence, self-confidence, and self-regulated learning, as well as mathematical reasoning ability tests. Data analysis uses multiple regression statistical techniques to test the relationship between variables. It is hoped that the research results will provide insight into the role of psychological factors in developing students' mathematical reasoning abilities, as well as being a consideration in designing more effective mathematics learning strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan mahasiswa pendidikan matematika dalam menyusun bahan ajar matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara pada 2 Oktober 2024 dengan tiga subjek yang merupakan mahasiswa yang menempuh mata kuliah bahan ajar matematika. Subjek dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling sehingga sampel bisa mewakili seluruh kesulitan yang dialami subjek penelitian. Subjek berasal dari salah satu universitas yang berbasis pendidikan di daerah Malang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan disebabkan oleh faktor internal, seperti pemahaman materi, motivasi, dan keterbatasan kemampuan literasi bahasa Inggris, serta faktor eksternal, seperti dosen, konflik dalam kerja kelompok, dan suasana kelas yang tegang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya minat dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perubahan yang signifikan dari minat  dan hasil belajar peserta didik setelah diterapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi serta pengaruh minat belajar terhadap hasil belajar setelah diterapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI SMK Negeri 6 Padang. Jenis pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling, berdasarkan pertimbangan guru matematika pada kelas XI, peserta didik TJKT masih memiliki minat dan hasil belajar yang tergolong rendah. Sehingga dipilih peserta didik XI TJKT sebagai sampel eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket minat belajar dan tes berbentuk soal uraian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Uji mann whithney, uji t dan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil uji mann whitney dengan perhitungan SPSS diperoleh nilai sig = 0,94 yang menandakan tidak terdapat perubahan signifikan terhadap minat belajar setelah diterapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Hasil uji t dengan diperoleh nilai sig = 0,000 yang menandakan terdapat perubahan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar setelah diterapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Hasil uji regresi linier sederhana diperoleh nilai sig = 0,544 yang menandakan tidak terdapatpengaruh minat terhadap hasil belajar setelah diterapkan pembelajran berdiferensiasi.
