Abstract

Quran teachers play a crucial role in preserving and disseminating Islamic religious knowledge. This profession faces a dilemma between devotion to the ummah and the demands of modern professionalism. This study aims to analyze the role, challenges, and prospects of Quran teachers in contemporary social and economic contexts. A qualitative method with a phenomenological approach was chosen for this research. Data were collected from one hundred and five Quran teachers selected through purposive sampling and analyzed thematically using NVivo 12 software. The results indicate that, while the role of a Quran teacher is still regarded as noble and meaningful, practitioners encounter economic difficulties and lack social recognition. Therefore, strategies are needed to enhance the quality and professionalism of Quran teachers and to strengthen their role in society. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of Quran teachers and its implications for the development of Islamic society.

Abstract

Twice exceptional children are individuals who have a combination of exceptional talent and learning disorders, such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, dyslexia or autism, which pose unique challenges in education. This research aims to analyze the internal and external factors that influence the development of twice exceptional children. Internal factors such as cognitive imbalance and low self-perception often hinder their achievement, while external factors such as lack of educational support and early identification exacerbate the situation. This study utilized the Systematic Literature Review method which involved searching literature from highly reputable sources such as Scopus, Springer, ERIC, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar. A total of 25 documents obtained from Q1-Q4 and SINTA 2 journals were analyzed using NVivo 12 Pro software. The results showed that twice exceptional children often face major learning difficulties such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, dyslexia and autism that affect their academic performance. Internal factors found include cognitive imbalance, low self-esteem and anxiety, while external factors affecting their development include lack of early identification and lack of appropriate educational support. Effective educational approaches involve strength-based interventions, differentiated instruction and training for educators to address their needs holistically. The implications of this research suggest that education policy in Indonesia needs to be updated to create a system that is more inclusive and responsive to twice exceptional children. A multidimensional approach that incorporates cognitive, social and emotional aspects is needed to support the optimal development of twice exceptional children. In addition, training for educators and parental involvement are key factors to create a supportive environment for their development, both at school and in the community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internalization of spiritual values in the Tokyo Indonesian School in the context of the multicultural environment of Japan. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to explore how spiritual values, especially Islamic teachings, are integrated into education at the Tokyo Indonesian School, which has students from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies, which were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study indicate that the Tokyo Indonesian School implements a holistic approach to the internalization of spiritual values with five main steps: i) religious education that focuses on understanding monotheism as the core of faith, ii) the habit of daily worship such as congregational prayer that strengthens discipline and spiritual awareness, iii) the implementation of the Madrasah Diniyah (Madin) program to deepen worship and religious knowledge, iv) the integration of universal values such as discipline, order, and hard work that are relevant to Japanese culture, and v) strengthening student character through teacher role models and harmonious social interactions. Moreover, Sekolah Indonesia Tokyo also strengthens students' spiritual relationship with Allah through religious activities at the mosque facilities near the school. It teaches Japanese cultural values that are in line with Islamic teachings. The implications of this study indicate that inclusive spiritual value-based education can shape students' character, enrich multicultural interactions, and maintain students' cultural and religious identities abroad.

Abstract

Coastal ecosystems are one of the most important and productive ecosystems on our planet. However, coastal ecosystems are also highly vulnerable to environmental changes caused by human activities and natural processes. One of the greatest threats to coastal ecosystems is the impact of large currents and sedimentation. This study aims to assess the impacts of large currents and sedimentation on coastal ecosystems. The study uses both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including field data collection, laboratory analysis, and simulation modeling. The results of the study show that large currents and sedimentation have significant impacts on coastal ecosystems. Large currents can cause coastal erosion, sedimentation, and changes in ecosystem structure. Sedimentation can also lead to decreased water quality, changes in species composition, and disruption of ecological processes. The study also finds that the impacts of large currents and sedimentation on coastal ecosystems can be exacerbated by other factors, such as climate change, human activities, and geological conditions. Therefore, the study recommends that coastal ecosystem management should take into account the impacts of large currents and sedimentation, as well as other factors that can affect coastal ecosystems. The results of this study can be used as a reference for developing sustainable and effective coastal ecosystem management strategies. In addition, the study can also help raise awareness about the importance of coastal ecosystem management and the impacts of large currents and sedimentation on coastal ecosystems
