Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of 6C skills Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, Computational Thinking, and Compassion in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as part of 21st-century learning at SMK Unggul Negeri 2 Banyuasin III. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving PAI teachers, the principal, and students. The findings reveal that the integration of 6C skills is evident, particularly in aspects of collaboration and communication through group discussions and student presentations. However, the application of computational thinking and creativity remains limited due to challenges such as uneven technology integration and reliance on conventional teaching methods. Supporting factors include adequate technological infrastructure and a school culture that upholds religious values, while major obstacles involve the lack of teacher training in innovative learning strategies. The study concludes that optimizing 6C competencies in PAI instruction requires enhancing teachers’ pedagogical skills, ensuring equitable access to digital tools, and strengthening school-industry partnerships to prepare students who are adaptive, ethical, and globally competitive.

Abstract

This study focuses on the principals' management in utilizing the Merdeka Teaching Platform (PMM) to improve teacher performance at SMPN 43 and SMPN 73 in Bandung City, two schools that won awards as the best users of PMM in West Java. The research objective is to analyze the effectiveness of PMM in improving teacher competence and performance based on the Merdeka Curriculum, as well as to formulate practical strategies for principals in guiding and motivating teachers to be able to implement innovative learning. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this study collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The theory used refers to Edward Deming's PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle. The results showed that the principal's management in planning, implementing, checking, and following up had run systematically according to Merdeka Belajar policy and education management principles. The principal has succeeded in utilizing PMM as an instrument to improve teacher quality, although there are still obstacles, such as limited access to technology and the IT skills of some teachers, that affect the effectiveness of PMM implementation. Overall, the implementation of PMM has proven effective in promoting a culture of continuous learning in the secondary school environment.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapid development of business and industry that demands a flexible and adaptive workforce to changes in technology and operational systems. The purpose of this research is to analyze and develop a management system of Job Training Institutions (LPK) based on industry needs in order to improve the competence and competitiveness of graduates. Using W. Edwards Deming's theory of Total Quality Management (TQM) and the PDCA cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act), this study applied a qualitative approach. The results showed that training planning was conducted in a participatory manner with industry partners to identify competency needs, but still faced obstacles in adjusting to industry demands. Training implementation has been project-based and applicable, involving industry practitioners and strengthening soft skills, but not yet optimal. Program evaluation has involved external competency testing, although it is still internal and informal. Follow-up in the form of entrepreneurial assistance and alumni monitoring is carried out, but it is not yet systematic and sustainable. The main obstacles include limited facilities, instructor competence, and curriculum adaptation. In conclusion, industry needs-based job training management has a significant effect on improving graduate competencies, with the involvement of industry partners as a key success factor.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in learning achievement between students who follow the Full Day School and Half Day School system at the Junior High School level. The research method used is a comparative quantitative study with an Independent Samples T-Test approach. The research sample consisted of 60 VIII grade students, 30 students each from Full Day school and 30 students from Half Day school. Learning achievement data were obtained through report cards with a scale of 10-100. Normality (Shapiro-Wilk) and homogeneity (Levene's Test) assumption tests showed that the data were normally distributed and had homogeneous variances, so they were eligible for the t-test. The analysis showed a significant difference between the two groups (t(58) = 2.272; p = 0.0268 < 0.05), with the average score of Full Day students (M = 76.57; SD = 7.17) higher than Half Day students (M = 71.97; SD = 8.46). The mean difference of 4.6 points indicates a moderate effect based on the calculation of Cohen's d = 0.59. This finding indicates that the Full Day School system has the potential to improve learning achievement through increased learning time, intensive interaction with teachers, and wider enrichment opportunities.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of hypocrisy (nifaq) in the Qur’an and compares it with Carl Gustav Jung’s theory of persona in analytical psychology. The main objective is to identify the similarities and differences between hypocrisy as a moral–spiritual phenomenon and persona as an adaptive psychological mechanism. Employing a qualitative approach through library research and comparative textual analysis, this study draws on primary sources such as the Qur’an, classical and modern exegeses, and Jung’s works. The findings reveal that both nifaq and persona describe a dissonance between one’s inner and outer selves. However, they differ fundamentally in nature: nifaq in the Qur’an is morally destructive, rooted in deceit and ill intent, whereas persona in Jung’s framework is adaptive, becoming harmful only when the individual loses authenticity. The study underscores the importance of honesty, self-reflection, and the integration of spiritual and social identities in developing authentic human character in the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of academic stress and religiosity towards the tendency of online gambling behavior among Indonesian university students. The phenomenon of increasing student involvement in online gambling practices indicates psychological and spiritual problems that need to be studied comprehensively. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational survey method of 200 students from various public and private universities. Data were collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 26. The results showed that academic stress had a significant positive effect on the tendency of online gambling behavior, while religiosity had a significant negative effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.426 indicates that the two variables explain 42.6% of the variation in online gambling behavior. This finding confirms that the higher the academic stress of students, the greater their tendency to engage in online gambling, but a high level of religiosity is able to act as a protective factor against this behavior. This study recommends the need for a psychological and spiritually-based integrative counseling approach in higher education settings.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SD Negeri Kalangsurya III and SD Negeri Sindangmukti II, Karawang Regency, which are recipients of the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP). The implementation of the PIP policy in the field still faces a number of problems, such as mistargeting, delays in fund disbursement, and a lack of socialization. This study aims to find out, analyze, and evaluate the extent to which the implementation of PIP has succeeded in increasing access to education for students from underprivileged families and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors for its implementation. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the basis of George R. Terry's management theory, including planning, organising, implementing, and supervising, and Pierre Bourdieu's theory of access to education, which emphasises social, cultural, and habitus capital. The results showed that the program planning was systematic and involved various elements of the school, thus improving access to education. The organization was effective in expanding the reach of beneficiaries. Program implementation is strongly influenced by cross-party coordination and the implementing structure at the school level. Evaluation shows an increase in attendance and a decrease in dropout rates, although there are still constraints in terms of facilities, infrastructure and financing. Proposed solutions include technical training, specialized PIP supervisors, improved information technology facilities, and strengthened internal supervision.
