Abstract

This activity addresses the themes of literacy and guidance on gadget use, aiming to equip children at Sekolah Master Depok with the skills needed to navigate modern life while maintaining positive activities like reading. In an increasingly sophisticated digital world, gadgets are not something foreign across all age groups, including children. While these technologies provide easy access to both beneficial and harmful content, the need for digital literacy has never been more urgent. UNESCO reports that Indonesia’s reading interest index is just 0.001%, meaning only one in every 1,000 Indonesians is an avid reader. Furthermore, Senior Economist Aviliani of INDEF highlights that Indonesia's digital literacy rate is only 62%, the lowest in ASEAN, where the average is around 70%. In response to these concerns, this activity was implemented at schools that cater to children with limited access to educational resources. Several strategies were employed, including explaining the positive impacts of literacy, introducing books and educational apps, discussing the negative consequences of excessive gadget use, and guiding students on how to use gadgets for productive purposes. The final results (outputs) produced from the activity that will be achieved are in the form of articles, videos, and posters designed to encourage positive behaviors. The expected benefits include a greater interest in literacy and the responsible use of gadgets, particularly for children in underprivileged areas. Additionally, the program aims to prevent the negative effects of digital devices, such as exposure to pornography and online gambling.

Abstract

This community service is carried out with the title Implementation of IPTEKS Government Regulation Number 24 of 1997 Concerning Land Registration in Koya Barat Village, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City, which was carried out in Koya Barat Village, which was carried out to partners because of cases from partners regarding their lack of understanding of land registration and land registration procedures so that with the expertise possessed by the community service personnel, they can implement the IPTEKS. The method of implementing this community service is carried out by means of lectures and discussions which were held on Friday, July 26, 2024 which were held at the Koya Barat Village Office and providing assistance to partners which has been carried out until now, this activity begins with preparation and coordination, then presentation of material on the land registration process based on laws and regulations to obtain legal certainty. The output of this community service is the increase in partner knowledge regarding land registration and land registration procedures in order to obtain legal certainty, and also the completeness of land registration as a pre-adjudication with the aim of making it easier for partners to complete land registration.

Abstract

Law students at Syiah Kuala University (USK) face significant challenges in planning their careers, mainly due to a lack of understanding of career opportunities in the legal field and limited access to career counseling services. This condition often results in uncertainty in career decision-making, which has an impact on anxiety and academic performance. This community service activity aims to provide a solution through the implementation of a structured career counseling program. The method used is descriptive quantitative research which includes individual counseling sessions and assessments using inventory tests, in the form of The Student Career Construction Inventory (SCCI), Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ) and Color Personality Test. The results of this community service activity indicate that some students gain increased knowledge and understanding related to the career they want to achieve. In addition, there are mental health conditions and personalities that also show a relationship with the need for career counseling in students.

Abstract

Teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) menjadikan internet sebagai jembatan penghubung berbagai pekerjaan manusia, melakukan monitoring dengan Smartphone dapat mempermudah User dalam mengendalikan perangkat elektronik, terintergrasi dalam satu sistem sehingga lebih efisien, hemat waktu dan listrik. Terutama pada bangunan yang memiliki banyak lantai yang akan memakan waktu dan tenaga yang lebih besar. Beberapa perusahaan telah bermigrasi memanfaatkan teknologi yang lebih canggih dengan peralatan elektronik yang berbasis IoT dan tidak lagi melakukan dengan cara tradisional, oleh karena itu keterampilan dan pemahaman terkait dengan teknologi dan informasi ini cukup penting dimiliki oleh semua pekerja tanpa terkecuali. Berangkat dari perusahaan telah bermigrasi dalam pengembangan dan pemanfaatan teknologi IoT yang tengah dilakukan oleh banyak perusahaan jasa dalam pemasangan  peralatan elekronik, khususnya oleh PT.Trijaya Maju Bersama Jakarta Barat. Mendorong Kami tim abdimas Universitas Indraprasta PGRI untuk melakukan Pelatihan implementasi peralatan elektronik berbasis IoT pada PT.Trijaya Maju Bersama Jakarta Barat.

Abstract

Antioksidan merupakan senyawa yang dapat menangkal atau meredam dampak negatif oksidan dengan kata lain antioksidan ini merupakan suatu molekul yang dapat menghambat oksidasi molekul lain. Antioksidan bekerja dengan cara mendonorkan satu elektronnya kepada senyawa yang bersifat oksidan sehingga aktivitas senyawa oksidan tersebut dapat di hambat. Antioksidan dibutuhkan tubuh untuk melindungi kulit dari berbagai kerusakan sel akibat radiasi UV dan antipenuaan. Antioksidan adalah suatu senyawa atau komponen kimia yang dalam kadar atau jumlah tertentu mampu menghambat atau memperlambat kerusakan akibat proses oksidasi. Tubuh manusia tidak mempunyai cadangan antioksidan dalam jumlah berlebih, sehingga apabila terbentuk banyak radikal maka tubuh membutuhkan antioksidan eksogen. Adanya kekhawatiran tersebut maka perlunya sosialisasi peranan antioksidan terhadap peremajaan kulit terutama di lingkungan kerja. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di lingkungan Kerja Kampus UNM Parangtambung yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman atau edukasi mengenai peranan antioksidan terhadap proses peremajaan kulit. Penyampaian materi pada pelatihan ini dilakukan secara klasikal, semua peserta mengikuti materi yang disampaikan dengan cara ceramah, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh cleaning service yang bertugas di Lingkungan Kerja Kampus UNM Parangtambung. Hasil dari pengabdian ini direspon dengan baik oleh peserta, minat dan motivasi yang tinggi dari peserta pelatihan sangat menunjang transfer ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan dari dosen kepada peserta pelatihan.

Abstract

Improving public health can begin by fostering clean and healthy living habits from an early age through the implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in elementary schools. This study aims to enhance students' understanding of PHBS, encourage healthy behavior changes, and measure the effectiveness of education through pre-test and post-test methods. The activity was conducted at SDN Malei Tojo, Tojo Una-Una Regency, using educational methods such as leaflets, lectures, and demonstrations.Pre-test results indicated that students lacked awareness of the importance of PHBS, such as proper handwashing and disposing of waste appropriately. After the education sessions, post-test results showed a 30% improvement in students' understanding, particularly in handwashing with soap and reducing the consumption of unhealthy snacks. While the education positively influenced students' behavior, continuous guidance is necessary to ensure these habits become integral to their daily lives. Recommendations for schools include regular monitoring, involving parents, and initiating innovative programs such as cleanliness competitions to support PHBS implementation in schools.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris pada anak-anak sering menghadapi tantangan dalam hal motivasi dan keterlibatan, terutama ketika metode pengajaran yang digunakan bersifat monoton dan kurang menarik, yang dapat menyebabkan kebosanan serta menurunnya minat belajar. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, sebuah program pengabdian bertujuan untuk mengintegrasikan video pembelajaran yang sudah ada ke dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan pendekatan gamifikasi, yang diharapkan dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik dan menyenangkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam program ini mencakup pemilihan video pembelajaran yang relevan dan menarik, pengembangan materi pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan konten video secara efektif, serta implementasi metode ini dalam pembelajaran dengan melibatkan anak-anak tingkat SD. Hasil dari penerapan metode ini menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak menjadi lebih antusias dan aktif dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran, dengan suasana belajar yang lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan. Anak-anak yang sebelumnya cenderung pasif dalam pembelajaran kini lebih berpartisipasi aktif, menunjukkan minat yang lebih besar dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris. Selain itu, video pembelajaran juga mendapatkan umpan balik positif dari anak-anak, yang merasa bahwa belajar Bahasa Inggris melalui pendekatan ini menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan tidak membosankan.

Abstract

The Toga Refugia Conservation Development Program Based on Green Economy through the Local Wisdom of Tea and Djamu Refugia was implemented in Jatirejoyoso Village. Jatirejoyoso Village has the potential for toga refugia plants which are deliberately grown as natural IPM. In fact, toga refugia has many benefits for the body, but the use of toga refugia is not yet optimal. The methods used in implementing the program include community assistance, the formation of POKJA nurseries and TEDJAFU MSMEs, cleaning, mapping and nurseries on conservation land, TOGA refugia processing training classes, as well as the opening of TOGA Refugia Conservation Area Tourism. The result is the transformation of the Refugia Jati Park into a TOGA Refugia Cultivation Area as a solution for toga conservation, the development of the TEDJAFU product as a solution for utilizing TOGA refugia which produces three products in the form of brewed tea, tea bags and herbal medicine. Apart from that, this program can increase community knowledge about the toga refugia plant and can also improve the village economy.

Abstract

Certification and appointment as a General K3 Expert is a government program to reduce accidents and illnesses in the world of work, so as to increase work safety, profits and a positive image for the company. Occupational safety and health (K3) has become an important issue, not only on a national scale, but also on an international scale. Every company is required to implement K3 requirements. K3 no longer only belongs to companies in the oil and gas, mining, construction and manufacturing projects, but has spread to all types of companies. The profession in the field of K3 has become a promising profession for the next few decades. However, knowledge in the field of K3 is not mandatory only for employees in the field of K3, but is mandatory for all employees. Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 2 of 1992 has regulated the procedures for appointing General K3 Experts. "Every company that has 100 employees or more, or has high occupational risks, is required to have a P2K3 and at least one General K3 Expert. "K3 experts are technical workers with special skills from outside the Department of Manpower who are appointed by the Minister of Manpower to monitor compliance with the Work Safety Law." General K3 experts are an extension of the government in supervising work in the workplace, so that it complies with statutory requirements set by the government, so as to reduce risks and incidents, whether accidents or work-related illnesses. After passing this certification, individuals will have legally recognized authority to become an K3 Expert in their workplace. To take part in general K3 expert certification, knowledge and skills are required, including practical experience. To know and be skilled, of course training or workshops are needed. This activity aims to provide education and training in the form of online workshops to build skills and provide an understanding of K3 to professional workers as well as preparation for taking General K3 Expert certification either at the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) or at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker). The output target of this community service is an article published on electronic media, activity videos and increasing partner empowerment, namely the creation of professional and competent workers in the field of K3 experts in particular.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan yang efektif merupakan salah satu pilar utama dalam mencapai tujuan organisasi, Kepemimpinan yang efektif merupakan kunci untuk keberhasilan suatu organisasi. Di dalam dunia organisasi yang semakin kompleks dan dinamis, peran pemimpin menjadi semakin penting dalam mengarahkan tim menuju tujuan bersama. Maka dari latar fenomena tersebut mensosialisasikan terkait optimalisasi leadership organisasi pada kalangan anak muda kususnya mahaiswa Universitas Pelita Bangsa. Sosialisasi dilaksanakan secara daring melalui zoom meeting. Setelah dilaksanakan kegiatan sosialisasi oleh praktisi dapat diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut, Mahasiswa menyadari penting nya pemahaman seputar leadership dalam kehidupan pribadi maupun organisasi. Dengan webinar ini, mahasiswa diberikan gambaran berupa teori dan praktik yang disusun dalam studi kasus keberhasilan leadership yang diharapkan mampu direalisasikan di kehidupan. Seorang leader harus mampu menginspirasi sekitar dan mampu adaptasi dengan navigasi perubahan serta berkolaborasi membangun lingkungan yang sinergis.
