Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) is a state of malnutrition, Pathological due to a relative or absolute deficiency or excess of one or more nutrients, and the measurement results of the lila are less than 23.5 cm.  According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2017, the maternal mortality rate throughout the world is estimated at 210/100,000 live births and the neonatal mortality rate has decreased by 38%, namely 36/1000 births. Of all maternal deaths, this is severe bleeding, generally bleeding after childbirth, postpartum infections. , high blood pressure during pregnancy (preeclampsia and eclampsia).  The aim of this activity is to provide nutrition awareness education for teenagers to prevent chronic energy deficiency (KEK). The method for implementing this Community Service Program is community education in the form of health education, evaluated with a pre-test and post-test. The method for implementing the community service is by providing nutrition-aware youth education by means of discussions using ebooklet media about balanced nutrition and KEK. The number of participants who attended was 50 people, 2 students, and 5 midwives. Activities start from the planning, implementation, evaluation, to report preparation stages. As a result of the activity, there was a change in knowledge with an average pre-test of 90.5% of participants' knowledge being in the poor category and post-test results of 95.5% being in the good category. In the skills aspect, all participants present (100%) were able to understand nutritional awareness to prevent CED. Conclusion. Educational activities about nutritional awareness for the prevention of CED can be an effort to increase knowledge and promote nutritional health in the prevention and control of CED. It is hoped that this activity can become a health promotion strategy in preventing and controlling SEZ

Abstract

Law Number 24 of 2011 has a very important role in health law in ensuring the protection of participants in the National Health Insurance program (BPJS Kesehatan). The purpose of this research is to find out the protection of the Rights of BPJS Participants Based on Law No. 24 of 2011 and the Law Enforcement Mechanism in Protecting the Rights of BPJS Participants. This research uses a normative juridical approach. The data used in the study is secondary data. Secondary data is obtained by studying documents by reading, studying and analyzing literature in the form of laws and regulations, books and other sources related to this research. In the study, this law provides a legal basis for the implementation of the national health insurance program, which aims to promote public welfare by providing equal access to quality health services. The health law serves to protect the rights of BPJS participants by ensuring that they receive health services that meet the set standards without discrimination. Furthermore, this law mandates the state to provide comprehensive and inclusive health insurance. Through the role of BPJS Kesehatan, health laws also regulate the supervision and enforcement of accountability from health service providers, both in terms of service quality and financial management.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mengambil topik “Pentingnya Pendaftaran Merek Bagi Pelaku Usaha Mikro Kecil Dan Menengah (UMKM)Di Kelurahan BerngamKecamatan Binjai Kota, Kota Binjai.Dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, khalayak sasaran yang ditentukan untuk diberikan penyuluhan hukum adalah masyarakatDi Kelurahan Berngam Kecamatan Binjai Kota, Kota Binjai. Penyuluhan hukum ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi masyarakat terkait pentingnya pendaftaran merek dagang bagi pelaku UMKM untuk menghindari terjadi masalah yaitu salah satunya pemalsuan merek dagang yang dilakukan oleh pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di KantorKelurahan Berngam, Kecamatan Binjai Kota, Kota Binjai, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Dilaksanakan pada hari selasa tanggal22 Januari  2025 dimulai pada pukul 10.00 Wib sampai dengan pukul 12.00 Wib dengan pemateri dosen dari Fakultas Hukum Universitas Amir Hamzah Medan. Dihadiri oleh Lurah, masyarakat yang juga merupakan pelaku UMKM yang ada di lingkungan Kelurahan Berngam Kecamatan Binjai Kota, Kota Binjai. Hasil dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diketahui bahwa masih banyak masyarakat yang tidak memahami betapa  pentingnya pendaftaran merek dagang bagi pelaku UMKM dan para pelaku UMKM masih banyak yang tidak mengetahui bagaimana prosedur pendaftaran merek dagang bagi pelaku UMKM. Masyarakat khususnya di Kelurahan Berngam Kecamatan Binjai Kota, Kota Binjai, Provinsi Sumatera Utara, masih banyak yang tidak mengetahui dan memahami Undang Undang Merek dan Indikasi Geografis Nomor 20 Tahun 2016. Dengan adanya penyuluhan hukum ini maka diharapkan masyarakatkhususnya para pelaku UMKM dapat memahami dan mengetahui  tentang pentingnya pendaftaran merek dagang bagi pelaku UMKM.

Abstract

El servicio comunitario es una actividad del Tridharma de Educación Superior que tiene como objetivo brindar servicios/contribuciones a la comunidad. Este servicio comunitario lo llevan a cabo profesores de diversas facultades junto con estudiantes en representación de la institución para aplicar los conocimientos y habilidades que tienen a la comunidad. Este equipo de servicio comunitario brinda conocimientos a la comunidad mediante la realización de actividades de divulgación sobre la relajación para reducir los niveles de estrés en la resolución de disputas en las relaciones laborales en la aldea de Patumbak I. Se espera que las actividades realizadas por profesores de la Universidad del Área de Medan aumenten la conciencia de la comunidad de Patumbak-1 mediante explicando una buena manera de aliviar el estrés. Para que las personas despedidas puedan relajarse del estrés. En esta actividad de servicio comunitario se llevan a cabo varias cosas, a saber: observación, conferencias, debates y evaluaciones. Los resultados de esta actividad muestran un aumento en la comprensión y la motivación de la comunidad para aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos a la vida cotidiana. Las evaluaciones muestran que el público está muy entusiasmado con este tema. Se espera que esta actividad pueda convertirse en conocimiento para la comunidad durante las discusiones en el futuro.

Abstract

Waste, especially plastic waste, is a very serious environmental problem faced by society in general. This problem is caused by an imbalance between the ability to manage waste and the production of waste. One way that can be done is to innovate in the utilization of plastic waste, as an effort to reduce its negative impact on the environment. In order to support this effort, this Community Service (PKM) activity was held at SMA Hang Tuah Makassar with a focus on training in the utilization of plastic bottle waste as a hydroponic medium. This training involved teachers and students of SMA Hang Tuah as the main participants, with the aim of introducing environmentally friendly and sustainable farming methods. The methods used were lectures and direct practice. The results of this activity were that students were able to utilize the school yard as a hydroponic plant medium. One of the results of the implementation of community partnerships is as follows: (1) partners learn about hydroponic models that can be used to grow vegetables, (2) partners learn about how to design hydroponic installations using used materials, and (3) partners learn to make a simple hydroponic system using used bottles. The survey results also showed that partners were quite satisfied with this community service activity.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat merupakan salah satu upaya dalam membangun masyarakat yang mandiri dan sejahtera yang dilakukan secara terstruktur dan terorganisir. Pemberdayaan masyarakat dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan locality development yang mampu mengembangkan potensi lokal sehingga masyarakat juga bisa berperan aktif dalam setiap prosesnya. UMKM yang ada di Kelurahan Berngam Kecamatan Binjai Kota merupakan kelompok masyarakat yang menjadi wadah bagi masyarakat Berngam dalam melakukan program pemberdayaan mulai tahap perencanaan hingga evaluasi program, khususnya pengelolaan UMKM. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi, proses, dan pendekatan UMKM yang ada di Kelurahan Berngam Kecamatan Binjai Kota dalam melakukan proses pemberdayaan untuk meningkatkan ekonomi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian berupa pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa UMKM yang ada di Keluarahan Berngam melakukan strategi pemberdayaan terhadap masyarakat lokal diantaranya yaitu, pembinaan dan pengelolaan UMKM, pengelolaan makanan dan daur ulang sampah, serta perlindungan dan pemeliharaan lingkungan dan budaya. Program-program tersebut bertujuan guna menciptakan partisipasi masyarakat lokal secara aktif, sehingga masyarakat menjadi pemeran utama dalam proses pemberdayaan. Pendekatan pemberdayaan yang dilakukan oleh UMKM Berngam menggunakan pendekatan locality development. Dengan seperti itu maka akan membangun perekonomian baru hingga mampu mengoptimalisasi sumber daya yang ada.

Abstract

This service is carried out with the title Legal Protection of Geographical Indications of Papua in Maribu Village, Jayapura Regency, an activity carried out for partners with the aim that the community can know and understand the existence of legal protection for Geographical Indications of Papua in Jayapura Regency. The output of this service is to provide an understanding to partners about efforts to map geographical indications carried out to determine the limits of cases of violation of geographical indications so that holders of geographical indication rights can file lawsuits against users of geographical indications without rights, in the form of compensation payments and termination. Use and destruction of geographical indication labels used without rights through registration and publication. Geographical indications are protected as long as the reputation, quality and characteristics that are the basis for granting geographical indication protection to an item are maintained. And protection will be removed if these provisions are not met, and/or are contrary to state ideology, legislation, morality, religion, decency and public order. Therefore, Geographical indication mapping must be arranged in a geographical indication document that can be proven to be true. The procedure for submitting geographical indications and the procedure for registering geographical indications have been identified. Legal protection for geographical indications can be carried out in preventive and repressive forms. Preventive means preventive measures through refusal of registration and repressive payment of compensation.

Abstract

Pembudidaya Jamur Tiram di Desa Penolih memiliki potensi mengembangkan usaha untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat. Agro Jamur Penolih sebagai perkumpulan pembudidaya jamur memerlukan pelatihan dan bimbingan untuk meningkatan usahanya sesuai potensi yang ada. Namun perjualan jamur tiram putih segar masih kiloan yang dijual ke pasar hanya dihargai Rp. 10.000 – 12.000 per kg. Maka dari itu perlu ada pelatihan tentang hal yang menunjang kebutuhan yaitu tentang branding, pengemasan dan pemasaran produk jamur tiram. Pelatihan dan pendampingan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan nilai jual jamur tiram putih segar menjadi Rp. 15.000 – 20.000 per 500 gram. Kegiatan terdiri dari tahapan persiapan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Pelatihan branding, pengemasan dan pemasaran jamur tiram putih segar dapat meningkatkan nilai jual produk Agro Jamur Penolih. Peserta memiliki logo baru, kemasan menarik, tata cara pengemasan yang ramah lingkungan serta Teknik pemasaran baik offline ataupun online.

Abstract

Some of the causes of deviations from spatial planning in cases of floods and landslides are the still weak public awareness of the importance of environmental quality, the weak ability to supervise and control development, both by the government and the community. The law in our country is not yet firm, and the spirit and mechanism of cooperation between development actors and the community have not yet been created in realizing synergistic development. The case of the lack of understanding of the Berngam Village community in Binjai City is also a factor in the decline in environmental quality. In conditions like this, the Binjai City government must realize the importance of socializing the material stipulated in the Spatial Planning product to the community, especially regarding improving environmental quality. This is intended so that the community can understand the importance of improving environmental quality. Seeing the limitations of the Binjai City government, the city community is expected to play an active role in developing alternative forms of urban land provision, such as the use of housing and settlement land, green open spaces, protected areas and so on that concern the interests of the community in general.

Abstract

National development in the health sector through the posyandu program is the development of human resources for the purpose of optimizing the degree of public health which is measured by the Maternal Mortality Rate (AKI) per 100,000 live births and the Infant Mortality Rate (AKB) per 1000 live births which is also a component of the Human Development Index (HDI). Basically, the maternal and child health program is a maternal/women's health development program. Women are the backbone of a country, especially a mother, if the backbone of the country is fragile, it will not be able to support the survival of a country. The determination of the priority of the problems raised in this study activity is how the role of posyandu cadres as a center for maternal and child health information". This service aims to find out the public's perception of the Posyandu Program, the role of the Posyandu in improving the quality of maternal and child health, and the Posyandu as a center for health information.
