Abstract

The significant decline of the Indonesia Stock Exchange Composite Index (IHSG) in mid-2025 has become a major focal point in the dynamics of Indonesia’s economy. As a reflection of investor confidence in the national economic conditions, the IHSG showed a downturn triggered by a combination of external factors such as global geopolitical tensions, falling commodity prices, and the U.S. Federal Reserve’s interest rate policy as well as domestic factors including capital outflows and a weak fiscal response. This study aims to analyze the IHSG plunge from a public economics perspective, particularly highlighting the role of the state through fiscal and monetary policies, as well as institutional interventions by authorities such as the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Bank Indonesia (BI) in maintaining economic stability. The analysis reveals that delayed policy responses and insufficient protection for domestic investors are critical contributing factors. Collaborative measures across institutions are required to restore market confidence and prevent long-term damage to the national economy.

Abstract

This article discusses the fundamental concepts of international economics and international trade theories as a foundation for understanding economic relations between countries. The core issue addressed is how international economic theories can explain the benefits and challenges of global trade. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review from various credible sources. Findings reveal that international economics plays a crucial role in expanding markets, enhancing production efficiency through specialization, and fostering economic growth through trade, investment, and technology exchange. Key theories such as Absolute Advantage by Adam Smith, Comparative Advantage by David Ricardo, and modern theories like the Heckscher-Ohlin model and Paul Krugman’s New Trade Theory are presented to understand the increasingly complex trade dynamics. On the other hand, protectionist policies, non-tariff barriers, and economic disparities between countries pose significant challenges in global trade. The study concludes that a comprehensive understanding of international economics is essential for countries to formulate adaptive and strategic trade policies, enabling them to compete effectively and gain optimal benefits from economic globalization. The article also recommends further research to evaluate the impact of international trade on specific sectors, such as SMEs, to support the formulation of more inclusive and sustainable economic strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-regulation and student well-being at SMKN X Bekasi Citu. Using quantitative methods and a sample of 111 grade XI students. This study found that there was a significant positive relationship between self-regulation and student well-being. The correlation results showed that there was a relationship between self-regulation and student well-being and had a significant positive correlation. The results of the normality test showed that data was distributed normally, so the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted.  Thus, it can be concluded that self-regulation has a significant relationship with student well-being in grade XI students at SMKN X Bekasi City.

Abstract

Educational decentralization is a key strategy in the modernization of Indonesia’s education system, granting greater authority to local governments to manage and develop education based on regional needs. This study aims to examine the strategic role of local governments in educational development through decentralization policies, as well as the challenges faced in their implementation. The findings indicate that decentralization contributes to improving the quality, relevance, and equity of educational access through localized curriculum adaptation, the implementation of school-based management, and teacher training tailored to local contexts. Local governments also play a crucial role in resource management, budget allocation, and the development of educational infrastructure. However, challenges such as disparities in educational quality among regions, limited professional human resources, and bureaucratic obstacles remain to be addressed. This study emphasizes that the success of educational decentralization depends heavily on the synergy between central and local governments, strong legal frameworks, and active community participation. Therefore, decentralization can serve as a driving force in establishing an inclusive, adaptive, and globally competitive education system.

Abstract

The urgency of integrating educational psychology into guidance and counseling services is increasing in response to the growing complexity of learning challenges in modern education. This article aims to examine the role of learning psychology in enhancing the effectiveness services through a qualitative literature study approach. Data were collected from academic journals, reference books, and relevant research reports, and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings reveal that psychological principles such as behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism strengthen counseling interventions in terms of motivation, learning strategies, and student autonomy. This integration contributes to a deeper understanding of learners’ characteristics and supports more adaptive and personalized counseling approaches. The study emphasizes the importance of educational psychology training for counselors and suggests future research using action-based or experimental methods.

Abstract

Discipline is an important foundation in shaping students’ character and academic success. This study aims to analyze how teacher role models and social learning can shape student discipline in elementary schools using Albert Bandura’s Social Cognitive Theory approach. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach at SD Negeri X. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that teacher role models in terms of discipline, such as being on time, consistently enforcing rules, and showing empathy, greatly influence student behavior. Social learning such as group discussions, simulations, and self-reflection also help students build self-control and responsibility. The process of modeling, reinforcement, and social observation are the main mechanisms in shaping disciplined behavior. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of teachers as role models and facilitators of social learning in instilling discipline values continuously.

Abstract

The implementation of effective learning strategies in Islamic education is crucial for shaping students’ character in accordance with the values taught in the Qur’an and Hadith. Learning approaches that emphasize the internalization of faith, noble morals, and ethical attitudes through habituation, teacher role modeling, and the use of contextual learning media can foster responsible, honest, disciplined, and tolerant individuals. The application of these strategies within formal educational settings demonstrates that consistent integration of Islamic values successfully cultivates strong and virtuous character in students, preparing them to face the challenges of the modern era. Key factors supporting the success of these strategies include active teacher involvement, family support, and a conducive school environment, while major challenges arise from technological influences and social changes.

Abstract

Peer groups play an important role in the process of individual growth and development, especially during childhood and adolescence. Although peer influence is often considered dominant, research shows that parents still have a significant impact on a child’s development. However, when relationships in the family are not harmonious, children tend to seek emotional support from peers, which can lead to involvement in negative groups such as gangs. Peer groups can have a positive impact, such as controlling behavior, providing emotional support, and developing social skills. However, negative impacts also emerge, such as discrimination against non-members of the group and disputes with parents. To improve the effectiveness of peer groups, the peer tutoring method is proposed as a learning strategy that engages students who are more capable of helping their peers. This method not only facilitates the understanding of the subject matter, but also strengthens students’ social relationships and interpersonal skills. With the right approach, adolescents can be directed to develop positively, so that their potential can grow optimally.

Abstract

This study explores the phenomena of smuggling and human trafficking across Indonesia’s maritime borders, particularly in the regions of East Nusa Tenggara and North Kalimantan. These areas are considered vulnerable due to weak border surveillance, high levels of undocumented migration, and the presence of transnational networks. The research highlights structural factors, such as socio-economic conditions and limited institutional capacity, which contribute to the persistence of these illicit activities. Using a qualitative approach and field data, the study underscores the importance of cross-sector collaboration and improved surveillance capacity to comprehensively address these issues.

Abstract

Students have a strategic role as agents of social change that require strong character building. Padang State University (UNP), as an institution of higher education, provides various platforms for self-development through student organizations such as BEM, HMJ, UKM, and extra-campus organizations. This research aims to analyze the influence of student involvement in organizations on the formation of character education, through a literature study approach. The results of the study show that student organizations play a significant role in developing character values such as leadership, responsibility, cooperation, discipline, and social care. Organizations are also effective contextual learning media in developing soft skills and emotional maturity of students. However, the challenge of balancing organizational and academic activities needs to be a common concern. Therefore, the support of educational institutions in the form of guidance, training, and recognition of organizational activities is an important factor in maximizing the role of organizations as a means of student character education.
